Welcome back to the Blue Solace: (Third Book in the series)
Morgan Murray is an easy, fun-loving guy. He excels at being a soldier, but never wanted more out of life. Somehow, he ends up in a position of authority on Dru's new ship, the Blue Sparrow. Now he has to deal with what he dreads most. Responsibilities. Dru and her crew are given the task of finding Wyatt Morrick and telling him about his father's death. Along the way, Morgan soon learns that responsibility can be painful, difficult, and frightening. It can also lead to something very special.
Dr. Wyatt Morrick is in trouble. Big trouble. He and his medical crew are stuck on a planet under attack. He may not be a soldier, but he has patients and friends to worry about. With very few supplies left, something has to give for them to survive. The whole planet's future is at stake and he is stuck hiding in a cave.
When Morgan saves Wyatt and his friends, the two men are given a gift, each other. Their love can't stop the Concord, though, and someone has to. Morgan has to grow and accept his responsibilities, and Wyatt has to move on from his father's death. That death just happens to be a little more complicated then Wyatt expected.
Author's Note: 55,000+ words. This is a m/m love story with no angst and no cheating, just a HEA. There is lots of action, sex, mpreg, and a few potty mouths involved in the story. 18+ readers only, please. It is also the third book in a series that is best read in order. Read "The Mercenary's Mate," and "The General's Mate" first!
I have been self-publishing since October 2018. My books are extremely light and fluffy m/m romance with mpreg, and while they span a few subgenres of romance, they have similar themes of found family and love at first sight. Besides writing, I enjoy reading everything I can get my hands on, especially m/m romance. My personal favorites are mpreg, sci-fi, fantasy, and paranormal.
Things are heating up with the Concord and the Queen and her elements are wreaking havoc in the universe, destroying planets and killing without discrimination. Charybdis Station is fighting back. This one runs parallel to book 2 part of the time but isn't a repeat of events.
I didn't like this one as good as the first two. Wyatt is a lot like Leti and Leti is unique and different so I wanted him to stay unique and different. There should be only one Leti. As my bff, Lorraine put it, #teamleti. I liked Morgan well enough but never really got a feel for him like I did Leti and Hack in the first two.
I've noticed one thing...the author takes a character who seems strong in the beginning but then he turns to mushy cheesiness, which I normally don't have a problem with if they're mushy for their mate. But I like for them to stay strong otherwise. Wyatt seemed to be a strong independent doctor, saving people all over the universe but then he turned into, well, Leti...mushy and cheesy. That happened to Hack too in book 1.
I also noticed a lot of typos in this one. Wrong words used and misspellings. It annoyed me. I don't mind a few here or there because it's impossible to catch them all but it got a bit ridiculous after a while. I noticed a few in the first two books but they really stood out this time. Maybe it was just that I wasn't enjoying this one the same, idk. It just was missing that extra "oomph" that book 1 and 2 had for me. But I'm still interested in seeing the others meet their mates or finally get together with them.
This book seemed to drag a bit at times, but I'm still enjoying this series.
I have to mention the wedding this time. Best pajama wedding ever. ;)

3.5 stars
In this installment we find out what happened to the crew who were sent out to retrieve Dr. Morrick’s son, Wyatt, but stayed away for months.
Morgan has been sent on a mission to find and retrieve Wyatt Morrick. Ever since Morgan saw the cute man’s picture he got this funny feeling. He really needs to rescue the man and keep him safe.
Meanwhile Wyatt, who is a doctor, is trying his best to save his crew and other people on the planet he was assigned to. But since the planet is under attack, they are camped out in caves and Wyatt isn’t sure how long they can survive.
Wyatt is doing his best to help the wounded and everyone else who needs him, but with him being 4 months pregnant, he’s not so sure he can keep this up. They need rescuing fast.
Luckily Morgan is nearby, and when the mercenary crew finds the medical team, they hurry to get everyone to safety. When Wyatt and Morgan finally meet it is most definitely love at first sight. It is clear to both of them that they are mates, but Wyatt is sure no one wants to have a mate who is pregnant with someone else’s child. Luckily Morgan makes sure Wyatt knows how he feels about that real quick.
Since the ship they came in is damaged, the crew has no choice but to stay on the planet and help the people fight the Concord and the beast that appears to be able to drain people of their blood with a simple look….
Wyatt was just adorable. I have a thing for adorable fierce characters in my books. And Morgan was just right for him. I did want them to spend a little more time together before the I love yous were thrown around, but I’ve had this issue with the previous two books as well. I guess we can’t have it all.
The plot is still interesting enough for me to continue, but who am I kidding, I mostly read these books for the awwww-factor.
I'm really conflicted with this series, it's really cringey and a bit trashy and the writing is not the best but there are so many things going on that I want to keep going just to know what the hell it’s happening next 😅
It feels kinda like watching an Argentinian telenovela in space where everyone keeps getting pregnant 😂
I just love this series! Wyatt and Morgan are one of my favorite couples. This book has some really sad moments, some creepy moments, but like all the books in this series, also some very funny and swoony moments. The story continues and we learn more about the queen.
At this point I don't really know why I'm still reading this series. It definitely doesn't deliver what's promised.
"This is a m/m love story with no angst and no cheating, just a HEA. There is lots of action, sex, mpreg, and a few potty mouths involved in the story."
This is, at best, a story for middle-to-high schoolers, it's very innocent and yes, the ideas are quite thought-out and interesting, but it's marketed as a romance with two semi-naked dudes on the cover and you'll have to try really, really hard to get some page time with them in the book.
The author didn't spend too much time developing the whole fated mates idea which seems to be the basis for these relationships, so it's not only very ridiculous sometimes, but also not that interesting, because you're expecting one thing, and then get the space saga with millions of space pets instead of it.
I'm giving this installment 2.5⭐, because it is plot-heavy and actually has a main character that I like - and it's definitely not Wyatt the doctor, but the pretty boy Morgan with his vibro-sword and conditioned hair, so yeah, for this guy alone I'll rate it and I'll just say the book failed him.
🟠 Setting : Planet Tammol 🟢 The whole book is about finding Vorian, the presumably dead scientist 🔵 Wyatt is Vorian's son and finds his mate, Morgan in this book 🟣 Mpreg - Most of these guys are already pregnant with someone else and the mates they get are then stepdads 🟡 Again, tons of side characters and everyone has their own damn pet, I can't keep up 🌶️ 🫤
So, the pretty boy. It says Morgan has long blond hair in the beginning of the book, but then he has brown hair later on, so I've just decided he's staying blonde. I'll never forgive this author for coming up with such a fine character and then giving him a juvenile story. This should've been fantastic.
“Wyatt, are you sure you want to marry pretty boy here? There’s no better guy out there, but he’s probably going to be kind of high maintenance.” “Oh dear,” Ma said, sniffling. “His hair gunk does cost an awful lot. He loves his hair.” “I do,” Wyatt said solemnly. “I’m a doctor so I can afford your pricey haircare products, baby.”
Yes, this was Morgan and he's fantastic, he got a pretty average guy who's pregnant with another for his mate, which is fine I guess, but they took about half of the book to kiss and even though there were some signs of this potentially being a humorous, spicy story, my quotes here are the best part of that love story, sadly.
There was one kiss, one time having sex and the rest they hardly even saw each other. They determined they were fated mates in about 5 second in and that was that.
It did look promising, though.
"“Who’s that gorgeous man with you? Is he single? Do you think he might like me?” His face fell. “Never mind. I forgot I was pregnant.” He rubbed his little bump. Kiki tilted her head, looking just like Luna. “Did you hit your head?” “He’s been acting weird since he saw that guy,” Jane said. “He is handsome,” Pela said, eyes wide in appreciation as she ogled Wyatt’s hero. “Back off, bitch,” Wyatt said before he could stop himself."
Aaah, yes, all the women are, again, bitches in this story. I'm not even surprised anymore.
“There she is. That bitch must be helping her. They killed the other guard and the ugly,” one of them said.
“The bitches killed the Admiral’s pet.”
Whatever.
I mean, Wyatt seems to be a copy of Leti and I bet Sebastian will be too. It's very repetitive, the relationship dynamics aren't really working for me and even though the war with the elements and the Queen is interesting, the rest of the story isn't quite there. It tries to be funny, then it throws in the tons of dialogues with tons of other side characters, then a little bit of action, food, kids and that's it.
Not really something I'm interested in, so again, it's marketed as a mm love story, but it's anything but, at least I don't see it. I suppose some readers might like it, especially if you're not into smut or the story revolving around the main relationship that much, but I personally can't imagine liking this beyond the age of 18. And it says readers must be 18+, for what exactly?
I'm not sure I want to continue with reading this series, because now I'm familiar with 3 planets, their people and their politics and the main characters are so lost somewhere in there, that I just know the next installments are all going to be the same and by the time I'll come to the book I want to get to, it won't be worth it anymore.
Nem tudok belekötni ebbe a kötetbe se. A történet az előző kötet végéhez képest korábban indul, amikor Drue és csapata a Kék Verébbel elindulnak megkeresni az eltűnt dr. Wyatt Morrickot. Egyértelműen kedvenc lesz a sorozat.
This is book 3 in the series and because this series has a continuous story arc it must be read in order.
I'm simultaneously thrilled with this story and completely frustrated. The story is really good. The plot is strong and the characters are realistic and relatable. What frustrates me is the editing. For such a good story it bothers me that the editing is not on point. That being said, I'm invested in this story and I NEED to see how it ends. On to book 4!
Poor Morgan and his upset stomach...emotions and responsibility are such a burden! Wyatt is his perfect match - I love these two together. This book is a lot tougher to read than the first two books, things definitely take a big step forward in the series story arc, but along with that comes more darkness and loss. That can be hard to read about but there are enough lighthearted moments to balance things out.
I Have an Ulcer. No, That's called Responsibility. 🤯
This is the third book in the series and is best enjoyed read in order. The first half of the book takes place at the same time as the previous book but then catches up toward the end.
Dru, Morgan and some of the crew and rescuees from the Blue Solace (Hack's ship, from previous books) volunteer to fly the Blue Sparrow to hunt for Wyatt Morrick. Wyatt is Verion Morrick's (scientist that was studying the element in book one) son and has gone missing along with his entire team of doctors sent to help on a warring planet. Morgan has formed a not so secret crush on Wyatt whom he has never met and the Sparrow crew give him grief about it.
Wyatt and his team have been abandoned on the warring planet and are holed up waiting for rescue after the Concord and a being that drains the fluids from its victims have ravaged the planet and is killing everyone and planning to set up their base there. Morgan and the team find Wyatt and his group and bring them onto their shuttle but there is still plenty of work to be done before anyone can safely leave this planet.
That's the general setup for the story. We meet old friends and new ones too and of course there is plenty of action as everyone tries to stop the Concord and keep them from furthering their plans to destroy not just this planet but others as well. I loved both Morgan and Wyatt and I won't say anymore so I don't ruin their beautiful story for you. I'm on to the next book to see what happens. Highly recommend.
This book has romance, humor, close friends and family, and galaxy spanning war and politics. Lets not forget the pets!
Dr. Wyatt Morrick, son of Dr. Verion Morrick, was left stranded on a planet being conquered by the Concords. Pretty boy Morgan, Captain Dru’s new weapons specialist, and Wyatt find out they are mates when they meet. Together with the locals, the crew of the Blue Sparrow, and some other mercenary groups, they fight to free the planet. Wyatt took the news of his father’s death hard. Finding out that his dad’s dead body was being used by Death was worse. When they find out that Death went to Frost Veil, they start to wonder if there might be some of Verion left. In the end they must face both Life and Death and deal with the consequences left over from the Crellic Shaman's choices millennia ago.
This book is rated 4 stars. There are a few typos and other minor errors. Even though this book goes back in time a bit, it flows well and the story was easy to follow. The people, politics, and cultures are all unique and fascinating to read.
Personal Note: Now I can’t choose, do I want a Frost Veil Dragon or a Fire Veil Dragon? Decisions, decisions…. One of the funniest scenes in the book was when Wyatt and Morgan got married. I won’t give too much away but I had to read it a few times just because. ;) The continuing story of the crew of the Blue Solace is fantastic and I know I will be re-reading this series many times.
I doing one one review for all of the books due to I gave book 1 a bad rating and review. Now it seems the author got his or her groove on after book 1 the story started getting better and better and I look forward to hearing book 7 The Rebel Mate when it comes out. In so many ways the series could be compared to out us today one group determined to destroy another because how they may worship, look, race or who they love we see this in our government, religious leaders and white supremacists but in the books this happens in the future were man has gone into apace and met other beings soon their is no full human and what there is very small but they have decided go to war against the non human because of how they look, their race and most likely who they love they decide to kill billions of people for what they wanted A Pure Full Human Race and either kill everyone else or sell them into salvery. As I said I was not pleased with book one but the following books were great and the narrator did a great to bring the story alive. So you check it out
First, I must state that I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. To understand what was going on with this series, I purchased the first two audiobooks and binge listened to them. They are instalove and go at a fast pace, and if you're in the mood for something sweet, you will not be disappointed. There are a lot of characters in each book and the narrator had a voice for each one. Stellar job Connor!! I look forward to the remaining books to come out with audio versions as well and will add these series to my Guilty Pleasure Book Shelf.
MOrgan and Wyatt, two new couppling to mate and marry soon. Morgan would be known from the first two book of the Blue Solace serie as a weapon specialist and all around worry-wart witha hint of sarcasm. Wyat would be the son of a certain someone who was supposed to be dead but hey, mysterious things tend to happen. So brave, protective over the people he works with and the people that he and his saved from an evil creature. Will Morgan and Wyatt find a way to save not just the world, but an ancient being as well?
A well-written and fast-paced fated mates story full of action/adventure, space opera themes, healers and warriors, warmth and fluff, and the fight for the good. I binge read this book and loved the characters both new and old.
How much did I like it? 5 Stars Ideas - World Building: 5 Stars Ideas - Plot: 5 Stars Emotional highs and lows: Expert Character Depth: 5 Stars Character interactions: Extensive Animal Characterisation: Expert Non-human Characterisation: Standard Content Warning: Consensual explicit sex scenes. Swearing. Execution: 5 Stars
I read all three in this series so far and I'm very anxious for the next one. I really enjoyed them. They were written very well and held my interest all the way through. I actually stayed up way too late and I was late for work the next day because I simply could not put it down. Very well done.
I’m a sucker for books that have lots of characters with several love stories all happening at once. This book is about Morgan and Wyatt, but like the previous books you have the next part of the big quest and many more love matches. Love her Hobson Hills stories as well.
I loved how poignant and full of love this book was. Wyatt's team had little to no hope of ever getting home, but they all persevered because of their dedication. There was sacrifice and pain in this book, there was love and redemption. I found this story to be the most engaging and emotionally fulfilling in this series so far.
So far Wyatt was able to destroy two of the ancient beings. His father had become one but because of his love for Wyatt he's decided to fight for the good guys. Morgan and Wyatt's relationship starts out rough because of the bad guys but in the end both men love each other deeply.
I am very entertained and amused with this series. Over the top, yet fun to read. This one is all about Morgan meeting his mate in Wyatt. More mpreg, more pets adopted by the crew, and more of the mystery is unveiled. One crazy space opera it is. Can’t wait to read the next in the series. Not a standalone, must read series in order to understand the overall story arc.
This was another great addition to the Blue Solace series. I loved getting to see the rescue of Wyatt by his mate Morgan. I also loved how he was reunited with his dad, who is inhabited by death and has gone rogue from the queen. I can't wait to read the next book in the series!I read this book using the Kindle Unlimited program.
I really liked this one. I got more information on the element and how it works which I liked, especially them winning battles. I also like how Wyatt and Morgan actually built their relationship and it wasn’t automatic insta-love. I was a bit confused with the whole Ralen concept because he kept being referred as Ralen and Jevio which made me think they were 2 different people.
The list of characters and cast members continues to grow and it is sometimes difficult to keep them all sorted in my head. The eternally positive spin on the storyline is definitely appealing and with the occasional intense emotional moments the story maintains a balance between good and evil without becoming overly graphic.
Good thing Morgan’s been training new members of the crew on their way to rescue Dr. Wyatt. Everyone’s going to be needed to rescue Dr. Wyatt. Enjoy Morgan and Wyatt’s scary adventures, the heartbreaking losses, the new children, the new friends, and their difficulties in finding time for steamy moments!!!
This book was thrilling and intense . I found Morgan's upset tummy issues cute and adorable . I found Wyatt to be brave and strong . Together they just fit, perfect together .
