About the author

Lara used to scribble her fictional characters down on legal pads in high school, and then not show them to anyone. In recent years, she started posting her work in public forums for feedback, which gave her the courage to publish professionally.

She needs copious amounts of coffee and chocolate to survive. You’ll find F.R.I.E.N.D.S. references sprinkled throughout her books because it’s her favorite show. She enjoys eavesdropping on the character conversations in her head, which she has been assured doesn’t make her crazy. Unfortunately, she always gets the best ideas while in the shower, driving, or about to fall asleep.

Though she’s a Florida girl at heart, Lara currently resides in the Blue Ridge Mountains with her husband of twenty-plus years and their three children, where she is living out her own happily ever after with the boy she met at age fifteen.

Hudson is a great short story about how a one night encounter with a stranger can have it's good and bad consequences. Reagan finally does something risky and takes a chance on an attractive older manjusr to find out she may not be able to be with him again. She doesn't let that stop her though and pursues him regardless. She is strong and has become more confident since starting college.

Hudson is trying to prove himself to his family that his current career path is just as good as any career path they would have chosen. When he meets Reagan his world gets turned upside down. He tries to be the responsible professor that he should be but can't resist his feelings for her.

I appreciate how the author describes each main character's feelings and emotions in each scene. The book started great giving good twists here and there and a few, "I knew its", too. Every book needs a Davis in it!!! Their "encounters" were very steamy which is always a plus🤗

The only thing I did not like was the ending for both main characters. Maybe in book two it will talk about what both of their futures will hold!

A relationship that could not be denied!

Reagan and Hudson were lovers before they knew he was a Professor at her College, and when he saw her in his class he was both shocked and concerned. He had thought about her a lot in the days since he had seen her and had wished he had asked for her number. Reagon knew that anything they had had before was now impossible and yet she could not forget the night they spent together. I enjoyed reading this story and how they dealt with the situation they found themselves in. Neither of them expected or wanted to have a relationship but could not deny their feelings for one and other that grew over time instead of dissipating. Despite the discrepancy in their ages, they were a good match for each other both emotionally and sexually.

Lara Norman introduces us to Hudson in Book 1 of the Thoroughly Educated Series. Hudson meets the curvy Reagan when he is rescued by her.
Hudson is a little bit kinky and Reagan hides her innocence.
Both believe that their encounter is limited to this one night.
Reagan enters her college class and finds that Hudson is her Professor.
Neither can leave the other alone but the forbidden romance has its troubles.
Lara gives us steamy encounters with Hudson and Reagan. We are also introduced to Reagan's big brother, Grant, and her school friends, Davis and Luna.
The characters are all likeable and the story is captivating.
Best of all, Hudson and Reagan will appear again as the series continues.

Fire in the house !!!!
That's what you get when you read this book. Pooh, what a chemistry between 19-year-old Reagan and 29-year-old Hudson.
When they meet, they know it will be a one-off. But then 9 days later it appears that he is her professor and they cannot continue their relationship, even though they both want more. And they have more, even if this has to take place in the deepest secret.
Both main characters are really put down and you can empathize with both and their struggles not to admit what they both want so badly. Great story!

Ever read a book that you didn’t want to end??!! Well add this one to your list! I felt the sibling love between Grant and Raegan as if I were there. Hudson and Reagan and their forbidden love affair was a fun, flirty...and well, just plain hot...read. Trust, you WON’T want to put it down. I’m looking forward to reading Grant’s story next...seriously, where are you Grant??! Maybe Luna and Davis can work thru their issues to happily ever after too. Don’t be too quick to judge someone by their ‘privileges’. You may miss out on something amazing...

Hudson (thoroughly Educated Book One) by Lara Norman. This story had everything I want in a book. I laughed and cried, it tugged at my heartstrings and made me root for a couple to get their act together and just be happy. They deserved it. They worked for it. And it’s fun to watch.
The chemistry between Hudson and Reagan was so real. They didn't try to change each other, they accepted each other as they were. Lara doesn’t just tell a story but she creates the emotion and atmosphere in her writing too. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series.

Good story. Characters are believable. Reagan comes from a poor background having been raised by her older brother after their parents are killed. He does a good job of instilling morals and good work ethics in her as she is a top student. Hudson comes from money but doesn't want to follow in his father's footsteps. The chemistry between the two is high voltage. Now I need to read the next book to see how her brother takes the news her Prof is her boyfriend.

After reading Lara's first two books, I was really looking forward to this one. From the moment I started reading I couldn't put it down. There is just so much going on. From Reagan, an 18 year old with an old soul starting college, hours away from home to Hudson, the attractive stranger she picks up. Lara's characters are always lifelike, authentic, and easy to relate to and identify with. Her writing is addictive. I just couldn't put the book down and am looking forward to the next in the series already. Immediately after reading this one, I pre-ordered the second.

I felt like the author was trying way too hard to make this more story than was there. With the addition of the roommate from hell, Reagan's unconventional up-bringing (raised by her older brother after her parents' death), the quirky pseudo-couple that befriended said heroine. . .I think I would have appreciated the author's efforts more if she had just kept the the normal teacher/student smutty (but enjoyable) taboo story rather than trying to add other dramatic elements that fell very flat.

Hot and steamy! Reagan stops to Hudson, an older guy who was having car problems. It turns into a one night stand and then she finds out Hudson is her professor. The chemistry between Reagan and Hudson is next level. This book was so much fun to read and I look forward to reading the next two in the series.

Spending most of her life being a Miss Goody Two Shoes, Reagan stops to help a guy out with car problems. Is he the guy she's going to "play" with? Break rules? I had so much fun reading this novel. I look forward to reading more by Lara Norman!

Lara did a great job writing Hudson and Reagan. Totally feel in love with their story. So glad Reagan didn't give up on Hudson after him trying to push her away so many times. Definitely need more of them.
