Sakamoto Shin'ichi (坂本眞一) is a Japanese mangaka. He is mostly famous for his series Innocent and Innocent Rouge. He is currently working on #DRCL midnight children based on the classic by Bram Stoker.
Finally some execution scenes and actions. Though Charles is acting shady, I am rooting for Marie, so it will be intriguing to see how this story concludes.
3.5 stars That was very off character for Charles. He would finish the duel and win fairly instead of breaking the rules. He's always been a fair, lenient person so it was just wrong to make him do that.
Marie Antoinette is in France, well love by the people and safe on smallpox(maybe). Charles Henry is full of confident on his job yet almost forgetting this dream of a new france and end up focusing on the executioner's job. Jealousy and conspiracy runs Versailles more than ever and Marie and Charles relationship is hanging in balance and the rivalry lead to this:
Or more like this: Charle's goes and Marie goes
Also this book never run out of evil Dame de la maison I'm ok with the violence, same sex relationship stuff but this is to....
Ohh look at that their actually in a relationship, good for you Charles.

Make Charles gay again ☠️ No veramente, da quando questo ha toccato una donna ha cambiato completamente carattere diventando uguale a suo padre... povera Marie
The story between Antoinette and Marie-Joseph is super interesting, but it falls flat since I don’t buy Marie-Joseph’s characterisation.
And the story between Antoinette and the other Maria is also super interesting, instead, again, when I stop and think about it, I have no idea why I’m suppose to cheer on Amtoinette! She refuser to talk to the other Marie because she is commonborn and has risen by sleeping around. But from the story’s perspective, the higher borns so far has been pompous bastards who the series has made me hate and excited about watching die, so I have no idea why the series want me to cheer one of these spoiled brats now?
wtf ?????? SPOILERS first of all, love marie. fave. amazing. perfect. but why did charles have a gun ??????????? stupid cheater. also <<<<3 chevalier d’eon and her and marie 👀👀👀❤️❤️❤️❤️
Charles-Henri relinquishing his hold on his dream of an executioner-less France is heartbreaking. But not so much as him wanting to marry Marie-Joseph off. I'm confused where that came from, and what his motive for that is like does he just want her out of his way, out of harm's way, or is that to show that even he is not totally free from France's patriarchal ideals.
I love what Marie-Joseph represents for Marie Antoinette and d'Eon, and to a lesser extent, what Charles-Henri and Louis Aguste represent to each other. The Sanson siblings' hold on the royal couple is quite funny to me.

Oh God. This manga is so dull. The comparisons with Sofia Coppola's Marie Antoinette are unavoidable in this volume, either as a result of direct inspiration or because of the similar sources that inspired both works (though I'm inclined to go with the former), and Sofia came out with the better work clearly.
Sakamoto has no idea of what he's doing.
Don't bother with the manga unless you really like the art.
