Lisa had spent years haunted by nightmares that she couldn’t remember. As long as she remained secluded on the island, she felt safe, and that’s all that matter to her. Jett was between assignments. He needed one thing right now and that was time alone. His uncle calls in a favor and Jett’s vacation comes to a halt. When their paths cross, there’s more than chemistry in the air. He finds her mysterious, and his specialty is uncovering secrets. But nothing seems as it appears and soon he finds himself caught in the middle of the lie. He’s never backed down from a challenge before. Pushing for the truth might be the right thing to do, but will the price be her life? There are some things that should remain buried. Is his love for her one of them or will it be what saves them both?
Jeannette grew up in a large family, number ten out of eleven children, eight of them being older brothers. She quickly developed a great sense of humor, mostly from necessity. One of her greatest joys is sitting on the porch where they were all raised and hearing the stories from years gone by. Quietly laughing to herself, she notices how they embellish the stories more and more each year.
Storytelling was passed down from her grandfather and mother. Jeannette caught the bug at a very young age. If she didn’t have her head in a book, then she was off somewhere with a notebook, jotting down stories of what she would write if one day she became an author. Although the notebook may have vanished, the stories are still vivid and waiting for the right time to be told.
Despite having an amazing family, there have also been some sorrows in her life, including the loss of loved ones. Over the years, Jeannette has spent countless hours volunteering for different organizations and acting as a caregiver to those dearest to her. As a result, supporting the elderly became of utmost importance.
As she approached a milestone birthday in 2015, she decided to take her passion for writing and blend it with her desire to continue to help others. As she writes her stories, she hopes they touch someone’s life. Within the layers of the romance, the foundation remains throughout and is one that is dear to her; make a difference in someone’s life each day!
In 2016 she met someone who encouraged her to push herself even further and try her hand at spicy intrigue. One year later she has four books in this new series and each one pushing her limits just a bit further.
Like the wind, Jeannette’s life changed directions several times over the years, yet one constant remains: her desire to leave this Earth a little better than when she entered it as she tries to live by these words, Make your mark on the world today as your acts of kindness is all anyone will remember in years to come!
"Lisa" spent a lot of years being haunted by nightmares that she couldn't remember. She was the assistant of an entomologist (Phil Turner) in spite of her memory loss. She felt safe on the island away from people and that's all that mattered to her. Well fate had something else in store for her in the form of a sexy as sin stranger named Jett Turner.
Jett Turner was a software developer who was between assignments and needed some downtime. But when his uncle Phil asked him for a favor. He couldn't refuse cause family comes first, no matter what. He never expected to find a mystery and beautiful woman at uncle's place.
They had a very interesting first encounter. After talking to Phil, Jett made it his mission to find out all he could about Lisa. Little did he know that what he found out would turn both their world on its axis.
He did everything he could to help her remember her past. It turned out that not only their lives changed but the Turchettas' own as well. It was a like the missing pieces were finally falling into place. She was Phoebe Turchetta, the sister they all loved and thought they'd lost five years ago.
It was great to catch up with the Turchetta clan and it was a delightful treat to meet new characters. Loved how the family gave Phoebe the space she needed even though it was killing them to keep their distance.
The way the relationship between Jett and Phoebe blossomed was well done. They got their HEA.
FOR KEEPS is the seventh book in Jeannette Winters' TURCHETTA'S PROMISE series. It was intriguing, heartwarming, a tearjerker and oh so amazing. Another wonderful job by Jeannette Winters. Two thumbs up and a recommendation for you guys to give this book a try!
For keeps is the 7th book in the Tuchetta's Promise series and they were all great books this one is the best. I don't want to give away any spoilers, but I couldn't put this book down, yet a the same. time I was sorry to see it end I was enjoying so much. You need to read the first few books to understand this one. You won't be disappointed, just make sure you have plenty of reading time
Living on an Island studying insects was what his Uncle did. Then asked for help of his Nephew while he needed to go to U.S.A. While on the island the nephew found Lisa had also been living with his Uncle for some years. Unbeknown to him, Lisa didn't have anymemories of her life. The love story and happy ending for Lisa is amazing.
In an earlier book I thought about ”Lisa” (no spoiler) returning and I liked how it happened. The only thing I disliked was her quick temper and yet terrified situation. I just think if I found myself in her situation - walk before run would be my go to philosophy.
When Jett's boat was on fire I just knew someone was trying to cook again! To funny! I would so never let her in a kitchen to cook. Jett's uncle was funny and such a descent and caring man. I enjoyed the story. Was happy with who the story was really about. Cudos for the twist!
I don't want to give away spoilers so I'll just say to be sure and buy your copy. This is the latest installment involving the Turchetta family. I was totally blindsided, but in a good way.
I loved this series. I loved the mystery and suspense. All finding love and helping people. I would love to see more of these two. Just to see how things were going with them
Enjoyed this book. Tropical mystery, great adventure. Beautiful story line. Would definitely recommend reading this book. Actually I suggest reading book 1-7. They tell the whole story.
Another great read from Jeannette. Wow loved Lisa/Phoebe and Jet's story the two just clicked, the trauma Phoebe gone through was horrific and thanks to Jet's uncle Phil who saved her so glad they got a happy ending after all
OMG!! While reading my mouth opens, jaw drops to the floor and I say No Way!! WoW! What a story! Threw me for a loop! I never saw it coming! This book is so well written with perfect timing! I think my favorite part is when Phoebe gets home and the girls run out to the car, shoving the guys out of the way, pull her from the car and hug her with crying going on and on. You have to read it. This is really a great story! 5 Stars
