I like her.And I’m ready to take a few body checks to show her I’m the real deal.
USA Today Bestselling author Melissa Belle writes about smart, sassy women and the hot, sexy men who want them. She spent years in the field of psychology before writing her first novel on the train in Europe. She often works through her story ideas while hiking with her husband or hanging out with her two kitties. She loves road trips and songwriting. And cupcakes.
Melissa Belle lights the lamp with CAMERON, the sixth book in the Wild Men series. Cameron Wild is the newest member of the Climax Cannons hockey team. Savannah McMann is tasked with the job of making sure he is happy and doing his job on the ice to get ticket sales up, or her job is on the line. This contemporary sports romance takes place in Climax, Minnesota.
I wasn’t sure if I was going to like this story after reading the first few chapters. I enjoyed it more the further I got into the book, until I couldn’t put it down. This was the first novel that I have read in the Wild Men series. The other “Wild men” and their significant others were in this story. It made me curious to go back and read their books.
Melissa Belle did a nice job with her character development. Cameron and Savannah seem like opposites, but they complement each other. Savannah is quiet and shy. Cameron is confident and outgoing. They both know their hockey. They both have issues with their fathers.
I like how Cameron and Savannah meet each other. I love that Savannah calls Cam out about how he’s playing and then makes hockey enjoyable for Cameron again. The plot was skillfully executed and original. There were a lot of interesting twists that kept the story entertaining. I would love to read Cameron’s brother Declan’s story. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
Belle finds a clever way to be sexy. Cameron keeps it hot while playing it smart. When it comes down to a battle of wills, no one can steam up your heart quite like Melissa Belle. I have yet to find a character that I don't love and a story I can resist.
it was a cute read. Even though the trope was solid & one of my favorites and the plot also had a lot of potential it didn't just live up to it. The execution was weak. If you're looking for a cute, light read with none of the heavy and emotional stuff- this is good. I liked Cameron. Even though the female protagonist wasn't my favorite she was sweet. The characters were flawed and kind of stereotypical. It was too fast. You never really get the opportunity to get to connect with the characters, their feelings and situation. There are no hurdle. It becomes a little boring after a point. If you are a slow burn romance fan this book is not it. Its fast and straight forward. The characters are one dimensional. It's like a fairytale- almost unrealistic except this book lacks the magical, mystical power of a fairytale to enthrall you.
Our female protagonist- Savannah is shy, awkward and your typical good girl with almost zero experience in the dating department (read: virgin) Our male protagonist- Cameron is confident, hot, popular, flirty, kind of a player and an extremely hockey player. He is gifted on the ice but lacks the drive and motivation which causes him to become a kind of a slacker. But he a side project which he has quite passionate about. They both have daddy issues. Especially Savannah- who deals with abandonment issues. Both the characters meet on work site. Savannah is nearly like a boss to him and according to a rule on the staff handbook they are not allowed to indulge in any kind of personal relationship so this book is supposed to about a illicit romance with all the excitement but unfortunately it is too simple. For being your resident good girl she sure did break all the rules fast. They instantly get together and it doesn't seem forbidden in any way. And when the coach gets to know about their relationship he calls them to his office and...does absolutely nothing. Well not accurate- he congratulates them and decides to change the freaking rule for them... I personally don't really like Savannah's side of family.
but if you want to have a light read don't let my critical review stop you from reading 'Cameron' by Melissa Belle.
Cameron is book six of the Wild Men series and can be read as a standalone. There are several secondary characters in this book, but not having read the others in the series does I can say that it does not take away from this story. This is Cameron and Savannah's story.
Cameron Wild comes from a family of star sportsmen. He is a star hockey player in his own right who is struggling with the game. He is sent to the Climax Cannons to get his stats up. He has been playing for the wrong reasons for a while now and when Savannah calls him out, he is forced to start looking at his future more seriously.
Savannah McMann has grown up at the hockey rink. Her father was the coach of the Climax Cannons since she was little and she grew up in his shadow. She did everything she could to try and please him despite his undeserving attitude. He up and left the Cannons and his family 6 years ago. Now her job is coach's assistant for the Cannons. Her newest responsibility is keeping their newest player happy so they can get their sales up. If he is not happy, she may not have a job.
This story started out a little slow for me, but shortly after these two meet it does take off. They seem as though they are opposites, but their lives are very parallel. As they spend more time together they begin to develop a trust that allows them to reveal their true selves. The author does a good job of developing their story. There are a few little twists, family drama, romance, self discovery, sexy time and an overall good storyline. I really enjoyed this story. ⭐⭐⭐⭐
I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.
In this book we meet Savannah Virginia McMann and Cameron Wild. When these two first meet it is not the best first meeting. Cameron is running late and just wants coffee. The woman he cuts in front of though is the last he wanted to though. Savannah has been fighting what feels like an uphill battle ever since her dad took off and screwed over his former team. People look at her and wonder if it is her fault that they can't win. Cameron's arrival is suppose to change all that. The only problem this isn't what Cameron wants to be doing. Can these two find a HEA or will the goals that they really have make that impossible?
This is an amazing story from this author. there are ups and downs I really want to tell you about. However I don't want to ruin the story for any other readers. I will say this book will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.
Cameron was such a good guy. I love how he's set his sights and made up his mind about Savannah from the first time they met. He was almost too perfect for me. He let Savannah dictate the pace of their relationship since he knows she's a little shy and unsure.
Savannah was the type of female main character who's a little too goody-goody, opposite of my usual. But surprisingly, she's not irritating because like Cam said, there were instances when she shows backbone and those moments were great.
The story is so light - the conflict is more about Savannah's relationship with her father, no petty jealousies between Cam and her, no third-act breakup that comes out of the blue and can totally be avoided, etc.
I'm not inclined to read the other books in the series but I'd totally recommend this book.
I love this wonderful story. I enjoy sports romances so this was right up my alley. Savannah is the bravest person. She is smart, lovable, great and beautiful. She is having a hard time and kinda stuck. When she meets the new star she's ready to throw the handbook out. Cameron is amazing man. He is handsome, smart, sweet and caring. He is dealing with some things. At the right time he is ready when he meets her. I absolutely love their journey to their happy ever after. Since this is my first time reading from Melissa, I really enjoy her writing was and story. This story was a little different but made me fall in love with Cameron and Savannah. Amazing work Melissa Belle!
Cameron Wild, at 24, is in a slump so he’s at a new hockey team. He cuts in line (no cutting) at the coffee shop like an a$$ and cuts in front of Savannah.
Savannah is young and her New Years resolution is to loose her vCard. Cameron cuts in front of her in line but does help to rescue her from a mugging. She is a coach’s assistant and ironically works with the team Cameron just joined.
He only does one nighters and she’s never had a one nighter.
They both have issues and obstacles to overcome. Can they overcome them together? Sweet, all the feels and a bit of spice. Recommend.
A Phenomenal Read!! It is beautifully written with a well-developed consistent engaging plot that will grip you from beginning to end. The storyline is exciting and engaging and will leave you wanting more. It is emotionally deep with twists and turns, and drama guaranteed to pull you in from the first page and hold your attention until the end. The characters are likeable, strong, deep, and sweet; the chemistry between them is intense and potent. It is a very exciting and enthralling read and comes highly recommended.

This is a sweet and caring Sports Romance. The storyline is well-written, smooth-flowing, has amazing chemistry, a HEA, developed, realistic and damaged main characters and wonderful secondary characters. The H, an alpha male athlete who is sexy as sin but also caring, patient and loving (totally swoon-worthy) and the h, a shy, sexy and talented woman who works with his new coach and team. This is more of a slow, tentative chance at love before it evolves into more. I loved this book. I voluntarily read an ARC and this is my honest review.
This was part of series and I started with this one not knowing that it was the 6th one, I wasn't lost but anyone that has ever read my reviews knows I like to start from the beginning. Anyhoo I enjoyed Cam and Savannah and I liked how Cam wanted to come out of her comfort zone and teased (nicely not humiliating) Savannah needed to stand on her own two feet and tell her father what she wanted out of life.. Enjoyable.

Her life is the same day in and day out but it is her life. She gets coffee before going to the rink to help the players of the team. She is pushed aside in the coffee shop and she notices him which is unusual for her and she finds herself wondering what a relationship with them be like. She gets to work where the stranger reappears as a new team member. What will they do? Will he try to break her defences? Will she give in to him? How would it go if they did get together? See how they get on

I love this series. All of the Wild men just sound so hot and yummy. Seems to me that parents need to stop trying to live their dreams through their sons. Cameron should do what makes him happy. I think he should have stopped talking to his ex Amy all together. She just sounds like a whiny baby who can't make up her mind. Good thing Savannah has a good head on her shoulders though she would have been better off not thinking about her father at all. He wasn't worth her aggravation and time. Good riddance. Still a good story and enjoyed it, thank you.
Cameron is the sixth book in the Wild Men book series and I love it!!! The characters were fun, sexy, and well written. The storyline was entertaining, steamy and enjoyable to read. Cameron and Savannah are both strong characters and that made for a well balanced couple. The attraction between the couple simmered along nice as they engaged in a chemistry that was steamy and hot A must read!

Hockey coach assistant Savannah McMann is given a new year's resolution by her sister Celie ... lose her virginity. Savannah has never had the urge to have s** ... that is, until she meets the handsome Cameron Wild, new star player for the Cannons hockey team. What happens when Savannah asks Cam to help her with her new year's resolution?
Cameron is a fun, angsty and steamy story that will have you cheering for the hero and heroine
Another “Wild” story. I’ve enjoyed all the books in this series so far and this was no exception. Two people who seem to be opposites but are just what the other needs. Cam is outgoing and Savannah is shy but together they can do anything. Characters from the other books make an appearance, but this works fine as a stand-alone (although I highly recommend all the stories in this series). Well written, well developed characters a smooth and interesting story line and an HEA. Great read!
I loved this book as well as all the books in this series. Everyone of these couples had issues they had to overcome or put to rest before they could move on but they had each other to lean on to do it.I loved Cam and he was great with Savannah just what she needed and went on her pace. I can't wait for more books by this author.
Great characters and story. The sixth book of the series, definately gets the mind weaving and the blood moving. I really like that your brought up to date on characters from the previous books, keeps the team alive.

Another great installment in this series. Loved Cameron and Savannah and I LOVE how the author can focus on the main characters but also bring you up to date on everyone else at the same time and do it so seemlessly.
Cameron, Wild Men book six by Melissa Belle. This story is fantastic! All the stories in this series are. The characters are wonderful! This is definitely another must read story in this must read series.
arc review I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Savannah is assistant coach for Craig for the Minnesota climax cannons and she a virgin with a daddy issue. When Cameron wild a new hockey play joins the team they complete each other. Awesome story
This Wild man shows them all how you should travel the path of love for "the one" and Melissa paints this steamy story of love with patience, wit, sarcasm and with a genuineness that has you melting for this couple. Loved it!!😍
Starting over is never easy and Cameron has just found the person to give him a reason to stay. He wants Savannah but he has a rep l, can he show her she's the one for him?

These two just had too many issues, the biggest of which were their daddy issues. This is the only hockey centric book I’ve read where the only player mentioned is the MC, you don’t meet the rest of the team, in fact they’re never even really mentioned. This book wasn’t well executed.
Seems all the hockey romance novels are always so on point; and entertaining. (I’m an enthusiastic NHL fan) The only flaws were the Dads. .. they were losers.
