I had some slight concerns before starting the book, I liked the idea of turning to piracy for the resources needed to get home, I even thought causing some chaos while doing this sounded fun, but I really didn’t get starting a farm behind enemy lines.
The further into the book the more the author seemed to be reverting to type; it became too long-winded with overly detailed descriptions rather than getting on with the story. In the end it wasn’t a bad story, but it could have been so much better.

Great improvement

I truly enjoyed this story. Literally could not put it down until I finished the story. Much better characters and well thought out progression of the theme. I am still underwhelmed by the overly detailed sexual pieces. A loves b and they share a sleeping accommodation is sufficient for me. Details be your that can be filled in by my imagination as needed. No I am Nat a fan or the current state of Harlingen romances being necessary for sales.

The author has a strong story line and skillfully adds characters as needed to advance the series. Blaze has a winner here.
