His Many Rules

Never Again...

Love almost stole everything from me. My career being the worst possible loss.

I never should have bent the rules and dated a student.

And now finally, after years of being alone, a pretty nurse has my attention.

Caring, curvy, and so damn smart.

She has me pacing the floor at night and wishing for things I thought were long since gone.

Every part of me aches for a chance at stealing her breath, her heart, her body—forever.

But the joke’s on me.

She’s not just a nurse. She’s a student at the college where I work, and the past seems to replay itself over again before my eyes.

Only this time, it’s so much worse than before.

I put restrictions on myself to make sure I don’t have to suffer ever again.

Too bad she wasn’t aware of my rules.

Or maybe she was…

DNF 24% Not worth it to read.

I just could not finish this. Talking about women that like sex as being “whores” or “sluts”. What a double standard. Also the lead male gets in trouble for a past relationship with a student but doesn’t want to ask the person he know is an RN intern if she goes to the school he teaches at because he doesn’t want to ruin what could happen between them. That makes no sense at all since he’s so worried about his job and what his colleagues think.

Kendal is a college professor with a troubled past in regards to his love life. Dana is a nursing intern and goes to the college Kendal works at. She meets him as she is helping with his sister's care. Sparks fly between them when they meet. Dana has no clue what is going on with Kendal until they are too far along with each other and she learns everything. Will Kendal end things with Dana so save himself?

This is a great story that will keep you on the edge of your seat from beginning to end. The chemistry between them is blazing hot, This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

A Powerful Story

Another heart gripping story from Ali Parker that is a must need in your library. We met Kendall and Dana in "His Many Demands" and now their story comes to life. To say fate is a conniving b@#ch is an understatement for the hell Kendal has dealt with and the blows keep coming. Dana is a curvy beautiful woman that has just spent two years with a man tearing her self worth to pieces at every turn. When these two meet over Kendal's sisters hospital bed it'ss like a light shinning in the darkness. There is baggage galore and rules that's not meant to be broken but the heart wants what it wants. Their pasts collide in unimaginable ways and threatens to test them or year them apart. Who is willing to give something up in order to be together and will it make a difference?? I loved this story and couldn't put it down, it was a lot like watching a train wreck in slow motion and no way to help but hoping like hell they made it out unscathed. The characters were absolutely breathtaking and the plot was riveting, and the love scenes are steamy. It was great visiting characters from other books especially Damon with his humor and willingness to have Kendal's back no matter what. I loved it!!! Kudos to Ali Parker for the creativity of this story. Can't wait to see what comes up next.

I listened to this audiobook cause it was free and joe Arden was narrating it. Dear lord this was painfully horrible. We went from meeting to love to engaged in 3 weeks🙄. This book we get Dameons POV as well and let me tell u he is such a douche, I just can’t. Yes beth is slightly immature and overreacting at times but this douche canoe makes her think these things. There is so much wrong with him I just can’t. There is nothing appealing about him at all because of the fact that he is a controlling insensitive douche. Can you tell I’m irritated. I won’t be reading anymore books cause it’s painful and just keeps repeating.

*spoilers

It’s insanely obvious that Beth is pregnant and I. Sure that Weill be coming in book 3🙄

Couldn't make it past chapter four

Truly, if you're going to write about nursing, a character who is a nurse, or even a casual reference to nursing, you should do your homework. By chapter four, I was too distracted by the mistakes made to my profession to get into this book at all. If you know nothing about what a nurse does, does not do, what they're called when they're training, maybe this is the book for you. It's obvious, and insulting, that the writer knows nothing about it.

Ali Parker has become one of my all time favorite authors. Her and her brother both write books that readers not only can relate to but can actually picture the reality behind them. This book is no different Kendal a college professor that can never seem to get a break and Dana the forbidden fruit that can’t seem to break his walls down are the perfect mix of story and heat. The characters are detailed and so normal. The story line is a great mix of life realities and desire!!!

Ok

It is Kendal and Dana’s story. I liked Kendal from the previous book I think it was called His Many Demands. It was epic in length so I wanted to know what made Kendal tick. But I had no real background for Dana and felt no connection and did not get the attraction. There are a lot of holes in the story and they are probably buried in some other Ali Parker book. This is NOT a “must” read.

Long time coming

The love life between Kendal and Dana was a long time coming. There were points in the story where I figured they would never, ever be on the same page at the same time. So many obstacles, so many times of miscommunication and so much drama was thrown in their direction. Reads like the perfect soap opera.

Wow I loved this story so much. There chemistry and connection between them was off the charts right from the beginning, there was sadness, loss, heartache and pain along with twists and turns. I definitely recommend you read this book and you will not be disappointed as it is so well written and shows what people will do for love.

Dr and nurses stories are always popular and this one is quite good. It has a troubled love affair that takes a lot to sort out but ends happily. If you like this genre this is a good read.

Deep and oh so addicting!

I was hooked from beginning to end. I laughed and shed some tears, got frustrated and proud at the incredible strength that Kendal had and the fantastic bond of what true friendship means. Can't forget the lengths he took to prove his love... ☺

This is the second book in the series by Ali Parker and it is a must have read. Whilst you don't have to have read, His Many Demands: A Bad Boy Billionaire Novel, it will certainly help you with so many of the connections between the characters. Kendal is the hero in this novel and is an accounting professor at UT and he meets Dana, a curvy nurse who is caring for his terminally ill sister. What he doesn't realise is that she is a student at his uni and so he is forbidden from dating her. Dana is a feisty young woman full of hope and compassion but also insecurities - especially about her sister. Kendal has had his heart 'broken' in the past and because of that he has 'his rules'. He has so much love to give and so much to offer the woman that he eventually loves. His best friend is Damon who was the hero in book 1 and one of his TA's, Bethany, is Damon's love.Just when things seem to be going better for Kendal, a woman from his and Damon's past comes back to cause trouble and when I say trouble I mean that with a capital T! Secondary characters such as Jackie were interesting but I felt so sorry for her getting mixed up with that creep Parks. Can Kendal and Dana's relationship survive the scandal, the jealousy and connivance of evil that has entered his life ion a blast from his past? Will he be able to keep his job? Or has Kendal lost everything? I really liked Kendal in book 1 and in this book I learned to love his quiet and gentle determination and Dana was the perfect foil for him. Miscommunication did lead some issues but I did love the conclusion. Ali Parker has, yet again, delivered for us a fantastic read that I thoroughly enjoyed and will re-read in the future as it is just so good. I received a reader's copy of this book and voluntarily leave my honest opinion of it here. Most Definitely Recommended

I purchased a copy of The Rules Series book 1 aka His Many Rules book 1: Making The Rules in The Rules Boxset by Ali Parker and this review is given freely.
Once burned and twice shy UT professor Dr. Kendal Tarrington vows never to become involved with another student until he meets business and Nursing major Dana Young but some unforeseen events threaten their budding relationship. This is the emotional first segment of their saga and includes the multiple broken relationships involving their friends, some hospital drama, some deaths, and Kendal's struggle to keep his position at the college.

I purchased a copy of The Rules Series book 2 aka His Many Rules book 2: Bending The Rules in The Rules Boxset by Ali Parker and this review is given freely.
While Kendal gets use to life without his sister, he and Dana find ways to be together while trying to avoid the attention of Heather and the rest of the UT faculty. A steamy sequel involving renewed relationships, college faculty subterfuge, a humorous hospital scene, some steamy scenes with Kendal and Dana, and an unexpected twist.
Ends in a cliffhanger.

I purchased a copy of The Rules Series book 3 aka His Many Rules book 3: Breaking The Rules in The Rules Boxset by Ali Parker and this review is given freely.
Emotional and drama packed with happy ending. Misunderstandings and self doubts keep Dana and Kendal apart and make them question their careers. Dana's sister Ana, Kendal's first love, shows up and Heather cries rape.

Kendal and Dana are so cute together. I loved Kendal as the best friend in Bethany and Damon’s story, so I especially love getting to see his story. And I just want to cuddle Dana close and tell her that true love has no conditions on it. Poor Kendal’s stuck between a rock, a hard place, and a bottomless cliff, with no easy way out of his situation. With Kendal’s past dogging their every step, can this pair ever find their happily ever after? My reality-TV-loving heart has sighed with happiness at the drama that surrounds them. (Even if a part of me is frustrated by how over the top some of that drama is.) Just like Damon and Bethany, Kendal and Dana are so determined to get in the way of their own happiness. They also let a lot of other people get in the middle of their relationship and not all of those were working for the best of either of them. I really liked that this story came down to Kendal and Dana talking honestly with each other, because that’s a valuable life lesson right there. And I really adored the way this book ends. Now I can’t wait to read the rest of the stories that continue to branch out from here.
I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book from the author.

Another great read by this author but that's not surprising. This book is about Kendall, who you meet in the His Many Demands book. He is best friends with Damon and is a professor at the college in town. He's had one heck of a time the last 6 years, getting involved with a student will do that to you. He's also watching his sister Mandy die from MS at the age of 24. When he goes to the hospital to visit his sister, he meets Dana. She is an intern who is really good with his sister as well as other patients. She is very compassionate which is very attractive. They are attracted to one another but will they be able to take things a step further? What happens when he finds out she is a student at UT?? He's not allowed to be in a relationship with anyone that goes or works at that school. This book is a well written story about two people who have been through a lot, have people they can depend on to help them through and eventually realize that love is worth fighting for. I would recommend this one to be a One-Click read. What I enjoy most is how she keeps the characters from prior books in this one and we know there will be another one on the way. Enjoy

Kendal is a college professor who has had trouble with his love life in the past that has left him under scrutiny at his college. This leads to all his rules and avoidance of any encounter that could lead to misunderstandings. Dana is a nursing intern who has just broken up with her boyfriend who abused her emotionally and mentally. Dana meets Kendal while taking care of his sister at the hospital. Kendal and Dana are attracted to each other. While spending time together, Kendal and Dana enjoy each other's company. Kendal doesn't know Dana is a student, and a relationship with her could cost him his job at the college. Will Kendal be willing to bend his rules for Dana? Can Kendal and Dana overcome their pasts, or will it tear them apart? I really liked His Many Rules by Ali Parker. His Many Rules will take the reader on an emotional roller coaster ride of passion, drama, heartbreak, triumphs, and a few surprises. I would definitely recommend getting His Many Rules by Ali Parker. I received an ARC of this book, and I am leaving my honest review.

Ali Parker is a truly gifted Author that continues to craft realistic scenarios you can envision with ease as well as thoughtful storylines time and again. Each book released by her, keeps you glued throughout. With His Many Rules, you'll be enraptured and completely enthralled, just like I was. I try extremely hard never to give away any part of the plot, however, there is certainly a reason he lives his life the way he does. Kendal and Dana are going to blow you away. From their initial meeting, which I read twice, to their journey as a whole, I found this to be a heartbreakingly beautiful publication. I encourage all romance reader's everywhere that you will love this book.

I was beyond fortunate to have requested an advanced reader's copy of His Many Rules in exchange for my honest/voluntarily given opinion and I, personally, loved it. I can not wait to see what is next from this superb Author.

Such superb Dialogue...Funny, Heartwarming, Poignant.
I loved this follow up storyline to "His Many Demands" where supporting character Professor Kendal and secondary character Nurse Dana jump up to protagonists. They both come into this relationship with so much baggage that it takes an above average number of chapters to get it all sorted out. What is the saving grace continues to be the hilarious bro buds of Damian and Kendal (Damian and Bethany were the protagonists of His Many Demands). Ali Parker has an exceptional eye for writing dialogue for these two and they are such comic relief that is needed when the story takes itself too seriously.
Definitely recommending this book for your reading pleasure and enjoyment. You may want to read His Many Demands first but not absolutely necessary. I am humbled to leave a review of this advanced review book.

ONE INCREDIBLE READ!!!
Oh my, talk about a crash course. This is one exciting, intriguing, heart pounding, pulse racing, smooth flowing, page turning wonder that's as riveting as it is captivating. All the drama, heartache, fear, uncertainty and suspense increases steadily as tension spirals. Twists and turns, ups and downs, unexpected circumstances and unpredictable surprises make for one thrilling experience. The two main characters are complex and believable with such depth and individuality that really lights up as sparks fly. The scenes are so graphically descriptive it's easy to picture each scenario as they play off one another in perfect balance. The characters and scenes are written with such realism it really pulls this little jewel together beautifully. Ali did an amazing job bringing this read to life. Awesome job Ali, thanks for sharing this little guy with us.

An emotional and riveting read

Dana, a nursing intern, meets Kendal, an accounting professor, one day at the hospital while taking care of his sister. As the story progresses his past haunts them, her past taunts them and the present troubles just may break them both. Ali Parker has given the reader an emotional and riveting read in His Many Rules. Sprinkling in some of my favorite characters from her other works, giving depth to her world and creating havoc where necessary, is what I've come to expect from Ms. Parker. Her books are engaging and it's just as fun making all the character connections in each one.

I received a free copy of the book from the author. I had the opportunity to review or not

This awesome story of Kendal and Dana was crafted by the talented Ali Parker. She is an author who can take any story and make you believe in the story of love found, love lost and possibility of second chance love. Kendal is an accounting professor at UT and Dana is an intern nurse studying at UT. Their paths have not crossed until they happen to meet at Kendal's sister's bedside at the hospital. Instant attraction on both sides collide but an underlying development is quietly about to destroy their happiness. I urge you to read this compelling book and shed a few tears while still trying to root for love to win out for our main characters. A must read!!!!!
