Gone to the Dogs Camper Romance #2

Teardrops and Rest Stops

Rate this book
There’s hope on the horizon… if the dog doesn’t blow it.

Joe left Assateague Island with his tiny trailer and an invitation for Ruby to follow. She longs for adventure and companionship, but is she ready? George, her dog, who just might be her dead husband reincarnated, is making decisions difficult. One minute he seems to like Joe. The next minute, the dog is baring his teeth at the man.

Ruby decides to follow Joe at her own pace, pulling her little teardrop trailer behind with George in the front seat riding shotgun. She wants to catch up with the man, but on her terms, in her own time.

Things don’t always work out as planned.

Bad burritos, unexpected babies, too much moonshine, what next?

Will Ruby find love on the road? Will Joe be able to wait for Ruby to come to terms with being a widow and finally moving on? Will the damn dog decide that Joe is a suitable suitor? Or is this a freeway accident waiting to happen?

This book was riddled with errors; repeats of the same lines in a row and spelling mistakes were the ones I caught. The story line is cute, made me roll my eyes at a few points because of how corny certain parts were. There also wasn’t much creativity in the descriptions of people and dog, they were always described in basically the same way, by everyone who met them. I wouldn’t necessarily recommend this book, other than for a light quick read.

Awesome Read!!!

I absolutely loved reading Teardrops and Rest Stops(A Gone to the Dogs Camper Romance Book 2)!!! All about Ruby Dunning a women in her fifties who is an Editor/Writer & Joe a Photographer in his fifties! Both live in Teardrop trailers and travel around the country writing about their travels & documenting life on the road. This is a page turner from start to finish, and has every emotion running through it!!! I could not put either book 1 or 2 down!!! Definitely a must read!!!

Dog, baby and Bears, oh my!

Lark Griffing has done it again with another well written novel. She knows how she wants her characters to sound and what her readers want to read. If you like romance, animals and camping this is the book for you to pick up. It will keep you laughing and guessing through your feelings with each page. I highly recommend all of Lark’s books to be bought and read.

Ok, I loved this book by Lark Griffing. This is the second one in a series (both free on Kindle Unlimited ), the first one was really good as well. There's a little romance, some tears and lots of things that made me laugh out loud.

The main character is Ruby, a recent widow whose late husband George, unbeknownst to her, buys her a teardrop camper shortly before his passing, so she can have the adventures she's always talked about but never had the opportunity to experience. Along the way she is adopted by a feisty little dog, makes some great friends and follows George's last words to her, "Follow your heart".

Nice, Feel Good Story

Nice cozy story if a little bizarre with a dog understanding peoples’ thoughts and vice versa. It would be good if the proofreading were better. When Joe and Ruby finally meet up in Florida, Joe asks her if she likes conch chowder. She says she has never had it but earlier in the book when she and George are in St. Augustine, she has conch chowder for dinner. A few typos too. I like Ruby’s carefree spirit and camping on her own! Quick, enjoyable read.

Emotional rollercoaster!

One minute you're crying and the next you're laughing. As a camper myself I could just picture myself enjoying their adventures as the descriptions were spot on. I can't wait to read the next installment of Joe, Ruby and George's wandering lifestyle. A must read for anyone wishing to experience the wanderlust and wish to have their loved one back in their life.

The story continues. I feel like this story was more entertaining. The dialogue between George and Joe was chuckle worthy on more than one occasion. It was great to see Joe and Ruby's relationship grow from friendship to love. They have an easiness to them that flows. I hope there is more to come in this series.

Nice travelog

Ruby and George hit the road. They enjoy the sites but, start to miss Joe. Finally she begins to take selfies with George and send them to Joe. He is pleased to see they are following him. Lots of added when they meet.
