Holy smokes girl that’s not what I was expecting!

This is the 7th and almost last book in the Rocking Racers series and this is Chris story.

Don’t go in expecting light, and easy! This was more then that, even though I didn’t want it to be. For these characters to grow, they needed to do what was for the best.

I’ve watched Megan’s writing change and improve over the years reading this series, I can feel she got inspiration from her favorite authors. It’s all good, and this series is seriously amazing.

This book, thank goodness it reads fast, I really enjoyed it! I love Chris and seeing him grown up was so phenomenal and to see the whole Ryan family was epic!

Now bring on Liam’s book, the last one in the series. The one I’m so excited for, the one that we will say goodbye to these characters and amazing family.

Do your self a favor and go get Book 1 and read them all.

Breaking Out is book seven in the Rocking Racers series. Each book can be read as a standalone, but if you have followed the series you are tickled to learn Christian has grown up and gets his story. It is great to see the secondary characters and how close this growing family (Ryan’s, Racers and more) is. I know that a series must eventually end, but I hope the next generation continues beyond the one we know is coming or even as a novella on the kids down the road. Whether you read one book or read them all there is enough background given for you to feel as you have always been apart of the family without feeling like you are missing anything.
Christian isn’t afraid of the family curse, let’s say that. He’s had great role models growing up and he knows love when he sees it. Who cares that he was young when this occurred, but with young love comes some growing up to do on both people’s parts. He has loved Nia and same for her their whole life, but once they decide to take it beyond the friendship level they must decide on where they see this going in the future. They are close, but so far apart on some levels. That’s okay though as they are young and need to explore their life to get to their happy place. Christian and Nia must decide on whether they should break out of their bubble, remain as is by settling or break up and think about being together in the future, if that is an option.
The emotions you endure reading this story is truly felt between these characters and you question yourself on what would you do. Although you may or may not agree on some events I believe they way the story was portrayed and ended was in line with the characters. This book was smoking hot (don’t get me wrong so where her other books), but for some reason this one held more growth and issues that make young love survive. Some does and some doesn’t. Will their future end together or apart is the question? Read and find out! I will surely miss this series when it ends.

Chris knew all about the curse that the men in his family seem to have been afflicted by, he himself knows all too well as his father is one of the men that lost that love. But Chris also had the front row seat in watching his uncle fall in love and be the first male to "beat" that curse. So for Chris, he knew that Nia was his one and only, the girl he was meant to spend his days with. The two started a relationship early, and have been together for years, and Chris expects the natural progression of things; marriage and kids. Nia on the other hand, wants to experience the world a bit, break out of Booker and travel, and has high hopes of seeing her name in neon lights. The two realize that they want the same thing, but they want it at different times. The two decide a break is what they need, and end up going separate ways. Can they hold on to each other, or will this be the end of Chris and Nia?

This was such a sweet read!! I loved seeing the kids all grown up and doing their own thing. Chris and Nia's issue was something so relatable; being young and wanting to discover the world we live in or stay in the same place, doing the same thing but know that there is that safety net of home. I am hoping for more of the second generation to get their own stories. I give this 4 stars.

Breaking Out centers around the next generation of the Rocking Racers, and I, for one, couldn't be happier that the amazing Megan Lowe decided to do this. Christian Ryan is up first, who has always known what he wanted, and has gone out to get it. He wants to spend the rest of his life with Nia Matthews, and be a champion racer. However, Nia isn't quite ready to get married yet, as she wants to do some stuff with her life before settling down, and this doesn't make Christian happy, so they decide to take a break, because he can't make himself compromise with her with a long engagement. Yeah, I wasn't really happy with Christian because of that, as he wanted what he wanted, and the hell with what Nia needed. So that made this story very emotionally charged for me, because I knew that these two belonged together, but it was a journey with some angst along the way, and I blame him. Luckily there was a great cast of secondaries who held him responsible for his way or the highway attitude, and who also helped Nia to see some things as well, so they added more depth to the story. Plus it was great to see all the previous characters again. And there were a few big twists to get me dropping f-bombs. So yeah, another great read in this great series that I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!

Well then... so this was not exactly like I expected from this author, it’s a bit deeper but that’s not a bad thing at all. In previous books I have fallen for the characters almost immediately and that was definitely the case for Chris, however I spent a big part of the book annoyed with Nia. I think my issues was I didn’t understand her choices, well I did but I didn’t think she needed to be as extreme. However I did end up loving her in the end and I couldn’t be happier with how it all turned out.

Chris and Nia have been together since they were kids and he thought their life together was already decided. But when it came down to it, he couldn’t have been more wrong. Now they are learning about life separately and each roads are taking them different directions, but their end goal seems to be the same....or is it?

I really enjoyed this book even though at times I wanted to throw my kindle, and I couldn’t be happier with the end. As usual this author gives us a book that you won’t want to put down and I highly recommend that you check it out. Even though this is book 7, it can completely be read as a standalone, so jump right in!

Home is where the heart is and sometimes you have to leave home to realize the truth of that statement. Christian and Nia did just that. Both went to pursue their dreams. It took me a bit to figure out that Christian was racing motorcycles. Many of the terms I was not familiar with might have indicated what type of racibg was being done. Or perhaps if I had read other books in the series. Well written, not rushed and very enjoyable.

It wasn't until after I had finished reading this book that I realized that it was the 7th book in the series. However, since each book can be read as a standalone each with their own endings, I was not completely in the dark with the characters.

Chris and Nia are childhood sweethearts and everyone knows that they will be happily married in the near future. However, as Nia starts to realize that this may well be in her near future, she has a panic attack and starts to wonder what her life may be like outside of Booker. Somehow she convinces Chris to agree to a "break out" so they can go outside of Booker and find out who they really are without each other and their families. Obviously, the outside world opens up plenty of possibilities for them, including possible new partners.

The overall story was good. I kept wanting my eyes to read faster so I could find out what happened next, definitely a page turner. A handful of sex scenes, steamy and well written but nothing over the top. Now to hunt down those other 6 books and see what the other Ryan boys have been up to.

Great story

I love this series, the characters are so lovable you would just love to be a part of this wonderful family.

This story shows how that little four year boy turned into a great man.

Its sad that this series will comes to an end but its great as these stories can be re-read for years to come.
Thank you

Breaking Out is the seventh in the Rocking Racers series. In this fast moving novel, Chris and Nia struggle to break out of the Chris/Nia longstanding bubble and explore the world on their own.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
