In this epic high school drama, which takes place in one of the wealthiest enclaves of the world. The children of Hollywood's elite spend eight hours a day behind the walls of Eden High. A lot can happen when you stick the ultra-popular no boundaries or limitations children of Hollywood royalty together.
This is the second series compilation of books 1-6 of the Eden High Series
Jordan Silver really needs a good editor and someone who can keep track of the facts in the story like what name is for which character. The most glaring one is that different books she kept spelling Shane and others it was Shayne, which really looks like a girl's name. I got confused and thought a new character was brought in and when I realized it was just a typo or different spelling I had to go back and re-read a major section.
Another confusing part was in Book 3 in that 1st chapter where Jace's dad says: “I just got off the phone with Jackson."
And then in the next paragraph he says: "Chad and I have talked about this and we’ve got it son, let us take care of it."
But HE is Chad. I had to read it like 5 times to see if maybe both dads were there, but they werent, it was just Jace's dad whose name is Chad Saunders.
I think the author was getting confused because she would put these chapters out on her site in serial form and she probably wrote other things in between and got confused, because this book took forever to come out. I didn't want to read the chapters in her site since I like to read my books from cover to cover all at once. But maybe I should because I would been able to point out all the incongruities.
If the editing errors were fixed and the story flowed better instead of feeling choppy like she would write parts of the story and then put it away and then pick it up and forget what she wrote previously AND if there wasn't so much repetition I would be given the story a better rating. ALSO, the ending isn't resolved. There is still yet another book!
I love Jordan Silver books. I love her alpha males and feisty females, but I just couldn't get behind this book.
So immediately after I finished the first box set, I returned that (thru KU), and picked this one up. And this was where this series started getting annoying to me.
The first 30-40% I was still on board. After that point though I was losing interest fast. The last 4 books in this set were unnecessary and repetitive. Every time we went into Mandy's POV, it was the same stuff we read about in the previous box set or in the previous section with her, "Jace really loves me, he'll be mine once Sian is gone/dead, he can't really mean that, let me bang this guy in my black book." If there was anything different in her POV I would have probably liked her parts more but I skimmed or just completely skipped her POV's.
In this one the spelling of the names was really bad. We had Shane turn into Shayne, we had Alex turn into Alec for 1 of the books and then the next book it would be back to how it was spelled before. Then it would return to the wrong spelling and then the next book it would be back to normal.
Also, Sian was stabbed in the back in the previous box set, a week-ish after she's stabbed in the back (twice), she's having passionate sex with Jace...ok...wouldn't that really hurt? But then in this box set, it's brought up that she was stabbed and she sometimes has issues...sometimes not. And one scene Jace threw her onto her back....the back that was stabbed twice...cool.
There were plot points that went nowhere. I can't remember if it was this box set or the previous one but Shane unblocked Liz (former GF), to see if he could find out any information from her about Mandy...that didn't go anywhere.
This box set was just unnecessary and I skimmed the last 30%. I'm taking a break before reading the Finale book but I didn't enjoy this one nearly as much as the first.
This book goes nowhere! It took me all day to finish because I could not stay focused. This book was 10% action and 90% inner monologue. I can’t tell you the number of times Si or Jace was thinking they really needed to do something, then started doing something else. It went a little like..
Wow I really need to talk to Cassie but....let’s f***, pump pump pump🙄👿
I felt really bad for Cassie. She seemed to be an afterthought for everyone in the story. Siane was a teenage drama queen who was constantly disregarding measures put in place for her safety. So like I know I was stabbed and left for dead but I just want to have fun with my girls. I want to go for burgers! I’m gonna confront the psycho that we think tried to have me killed because...girl power!?!🤨
Jace is suppose to be a badass 17/18 year old but he’s mostly all talk. 90% of this book was him saying what he was going to do but doing nothing. Once he finally does take some action it seems childish. It’s like seeing a little boy put on his dads shoes and being like... I’m gonna make a call and get you in trouble
I’m going to read the last Installment because.....🤷🏻♀️
Now I love me a steamy JSilver book. There is nothing like a broody alpha male and lots of ridiculous hot s3x scenes, but I will say it drives me abso-freaking-luty batshit crazy when the most simplest of things can't remain constant in a book. Through out this book multiple characters names either changed or changed spelling. Saunders went to Sanders then to Saunders again; Shane to Shayne to Shane to Shayne to Shane so many times I was confused. Then there was Alex or was it Alec?!? Ahhh!!! Let's not forget about all the typos. You would be reading along find them out was like stubbing a toe.
Now I'm all for protecting females, but in regards to possible danger the female may be in and the relative chance of said female in taking unnecessary risks that could put her life in harm's way unknowingly, I think it would problem be a good idea to equip her with that knowledge. I think the guys keeping the ladies in the dark in this book just bred more chaos and disaster.
ok so this was confusing I liked the first couple of books but I don't know if it was just me but I was seeing red flags everywhere with Jace as soon as the relationship between him and sian started. It's the being controlling but covering it with I care about you at every turn. I get the possessiveness I've enjoyed that aspect in every book so far but this time it was just annoying asf. oh yeah she seemed like she was just following him around like a lost puppy 90% of the time.
but i enjoyed jared and belle's romance it was cute so was shane and tammy's they have my heart. OHH MYYY let me not start with the ending , no closure. i didn't expect a happy or sad ending but i wanted to at least understand what was going on nooooopeeee. i cant wrap my head around it, it made no sense at all. it was so rushed and I've still got so many questions. so if your looking for a weirdly ok read go for it but I'm sitting writing this so mindjoggled is that even a word i cant......
Wow!!! This series is like an Emmy winning television drama, in print! I love how Jordan has developed not only the main characters of Jace and Sian, but also the many side characters! I have fallen in love with all of their friends and absolutely love hating on their enemies. Even though these are not your typical high school students, it is easy to lose yourself in both the innocence and overwhelming drama of the story! Amazing job Jordan and I can’t wait for the Finale.
JS is a genius with talent for weaving a tale that takes hold of you and keeps you enthralled to the last page and beyond! Reading this series I felt like I was watching a tv series while living with the characters at the same time. I didn’t want to end. Am now going for the Finale and can’t wait… I’m glad I read it in box sets. I couldn’t have survived waiting...lol. Thank you Jordan Silver
Why did it end? What is the job for track? Mandy did not get her just desserts. What is the fall out from the black book. What is the plan for the gang after tutoring. There is no way Sian is getting that diaphragm in place in time. Unless Shane is shooting blanks Tammy got nailed as well. Didn’t Todd move to California?
I absolutely love Jace!! He is so over the top lol watching his transformation to (semi) carefree teen to business mogul is both heartbreaking and awe inspiring. Reading this book I keep wondering if there are people truly as delusional and evil as Mandy! I can’t wait to read the finale!
Well this cliffhanger wasn’t as shocking as the previous books!! I love this series and I love Jace, Sian, Track, Valerie, Jared, Belle, Shane, Tammy, Cassie and even Alex!! One thing is the spelling of some of the names keep changing. Otherwise this is a kick ass series!!
Read the entire series in exactly five days. I enjoyed the couples. The names changed throughout the story, drove me bonkers. Shane went to Shayne. Spelling was off, Stanley was definitely off.
Major confusion.... at parts of this tale but I survived and still enjoyed.
Absolutely love the way Jordan silver has delivered these fantastic books love the POV from everyone makes an interesting read to see what everyone is thinking can’t wait to read the final
The H is controlling and abusive to the h. I mean dangerously close to a physically abusive relationship. Not to mention, the verbal abuse he inflicts on the h. How is this a romance? I don't see how anyone can like this book.
A must have series if a fan of Jordon silver. It links in with some of her other book series. You get to follow the characters and watch them develop through all her books has they link up.
The story itself is good. I love this author more often than not so I knew what to expect. The inner monologs in this series drove me bonkers. I literally skipped entire pages of it.
I was so enthralled with this story the 1st time I read it that I didn’t realize how many details I missed. My heart bleeds for the loss of Jace’s youth over that putrid snake Mandy and her high jinx. I can’t wait for royal demise!
Things have certainly been kicked up a few notches in series 2. Love Jace and Sian’s intensity but also good to get to know the other characters better. Can not wait for Mandy’s comeuppance.
I’m going to put this out there... I loved this series!... It’s a bit...okay a lot...over-the-top glamorous high school romance, with a bit of everything in it. I love a multiple character book. The book essentially is about Jace and Sian, but there are plots from the other that add so much drama and story into it just being a typical high school romance.
I really enjoyed this series so far... its so much more than high school romance. Its mystery, intrigue some suspense, revenge et all.
I really like the first series but this ruined it for me. Jace became an abusive hypocritical a**hole. He took his dominant personality to an extreme and Sian should have been protected from him. Instead she was became just as unlikable. I hated the added character, Track. Just throwing him and his girlfriend in made no sense. The wedding was beyond unbelievable and ridiculous. I definitely couldn't keep up with so many unnecessary POV's. Nothing about series 2 was enjoyable. Just not worth it.
