This was required reading for a class in Fundamental Statistical Analysis, in the school of Geospatial Information Science. I actually really enjoyed the format of this book. The author is very clear. Its very technical, with a few practice examples, tables and diagrams mixed into make things clear. At the end of each chapter are problems, the answers to some of which are on the author's website. There are a *lot* of errors in this book - go to the author's website and get the errata.
