This is a wonderful devotional for the Advent and Christmas season. Each daily reading presents a Bible verse from the traditional Roman liturgy of the day, a meditation, prayer from the liturgy or from a saint, and practical resolutions. The daily readings are brief, so they are excellent for lay men and women with busy days.

Fr Troadec's book is up to his usual high standards. He has an odd way of bringing up things that I particularly need to hear!

A better title would be From Advent to the Baptism of Jesus. I really enjoyed these short reflections. Every day there was a short reading, meditation, prayer, thoughts, and resolutions. I really appreciated the prayers, stories, and hymns in the back. I highly recommend it as an Advent devotional.
