An omega too busy helping others to find his own happily ever after...
Nathan Willis doesn't need an alpha. At least, that's what he keeps telling himself. He's content enough crafting magical clothing for the people of Vale Valley, thank you very much. When a spell backfires, he becomes part of his very own Cinderella story--now if only he could forget the handsome alpha who mistook him for someone else...
A sweet-toothed alpha looking for a place to call home...
A wolf without a pack, Caius Valens longs for someone to treasure and take care of. It's hard to find someone to get close to when they don't know you're a shifter. His travels lead him to Vale Valley and the local Chocolatier's Gala, where he falls into his very own fairy tale. Right down to the mysterious beauty disappearing at the stroke of midnight.
Can they find their way back to one another before the spell breaks? And will both men find themselves along the way?
Welcome back to Vale Valley, where love is always in the air and magic lies around every corner.
That Magical Moment is the first book in the Vale Valley Valentine's series. If you're looking for a sweet and steamy small town open to everyone in need of love and a home, you've come to the right place. This book contains magical clothing, incredible edible sculptures, way more than a dozen roses, and a feel-good happily ever after. Grab a glass of wine, a box of chocolate, and curl up with this heartwarming holiday read.
Connor Crowe grew up reading stories about dragons, magic, and adventure. He often liked to imagine himself as a character in those stories, and as he grew older he began to write some of them down. He couldn't just write any old fantasy, though. As a die-hard romantic, he tells stories of men finding true love amidst adversity.
When you read a Connor Crowe book, you know you're getting action-packed fantasy mpreg that will make your heart race in more ways than one ;)
I loved "Vale Valley" season 1 and I was thrilled when I saw that they made a season 2. This was book one in the "Vale Valley" season 2. Nathan Willis doesn't need an alpha or at least that what he tells himself. Caius Valens is an Alpha wolf-shifter without a pack he has been on the run looking for a home when he hears about The Valley. Nathan is a mage and he buts spells in the clothing that he makes. When his friend Miles who is also an omega ask him to come up with a love spell to help him attract an Alpha that he saw in one of his visions that turned out not to be about him. When these two meet sparks fly Caius never thought that he would meet his mate the first night in a new town. Nathan runs away from him because he is unsure of how he feels. This was a fast moving book that I liked a lot. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading more books in this series.
I'm not sure if my opinion on this book is "not bad" or "not that bad". It's just an amalgamation of cliches stuck together with mismatched duct tape and some finger paint decor. Not the most impressive.
It's like the magical fairy tale, Cinderella, only with guys and masks. It's a sweet (pun intended) story, full of Hope, sweets, a little magic and a lot of love. It's that sweet story you need when you just need happy happy and for the world to be a brighter place. Nathan was so busy helping everyone else find what they needed, he often forgot about himself. But he was an Omega. He didn't need an alpha did he? But when he tried to help his friend with a spell to find his mate with a mask, it became stuck to him, not his friend. And he knew he was stuck going to this gala to find this alpha. And find him did he ever. But as the clock struck midnight, the spell wore off, the mask came off and Nathan ran for all he's worth. Not even know Caius's name. But something woke him up in the middle of the night and he knew beyond a shadow of a doubt, his alpha was running away and he had to stop him. He did and explained everything. Now Nathan just hopes the feelings they have for each other Caius doesn't believe are fake. I don't know who had my heart breaking the most. Caius so alone for so long, losing hope he'd ever find his mate, or Nathan, being lonely, but trying to help everyone else to keep it at Bay. But like Cinderella, they find each other and it's like a fairy tale. It's adorable and cuddly. Just makes you all warm inside. http://lovebytesreviews.com/
I immediately thought of the 1960 Jerry Lewis movie , CINDERFELLA when he came down the long staircase to Count Basie's fabulous accompaniment and when he runs out leaving that huge shoe behind. There is a price for Magic, and the Omega Mage, Nathan is well aware of this therefore he makes every effort maybe to be careful with his powers A Taylor Mage Nate made stitches of magic in caps, scarves, etc for couples. It strengthened a bond already present.
His best friend was a Psychic who begs for assistance based on a vision of his future. Against his best judgement Nathan helps him and sets off a chain of events from a quiet mage to a Cinderfella. Terrified that the feelings he shared with someone aren't real just a magic induced attraction. But what if it he had met his true mate? How will hus mate react to the magic used to bring them together? This is a sweet story of uncertainty and forgiveness. Of almost losing and finally holding onto a family.
A cute novella. A typical omagaverse with a bit of a cinderfella twist. Includes fun stuff like shifters, magic, and wizards. There wasn't much time for character development or plot. But I think this is only meant to be a teaser to lure us into the series.
5* - very very good and rare (it would be a Blow- Away-book like ‘Jesse's Smile' or ‚Joey’ from Angelique Jurd, ‘Save the at he kids' series from EM Leya, ‘Love’s Tethered Heart’ from C.L. Etta or 'Liberty' from Seth King), it's like an A+
4* - very good and will be often reread and is a WOW-book with interesting plot and surprises (like most of Andrew Grey’s books) it's like an A
3,5* - a really good book, which will be reread a few times a year (most romances where you can enjoy for relaxing and during waiting times in hospitals). I can recommend them definitively! It's like an B+
3* - it could be more then a one-time-reader, maybe 2-3 times a year. It’s like a B
2* - it was ok to read, but it's more a one-time- reader (i wouldn't recommend it heartily, but it was ok). It's like a C-, D
1* - sorry, but that isn't really a book for me (too many mistakes, not nice plot, illogical, so an absolut NO-GO). It's like failure in the whole line, dismissed, repeat the class
Only one thing to say. I should have listened to my brain when I read the plot and it screamed "DON'T READ THIS." For once a book was faithful to the plot, and not in a happy way. It's full of soppiness and mild language and flat dialogues. I shouldn't have expected more from a book of only 12 chapters. If you're looking for something to sway your heart and blow your mind, don't waste your time. PS: I hate the cover and the chapter 11 took the biscuit, it was all about bacon and roses. What a brainwave!
1 * star and once again it's disappointment speaking. Even short, a book can be amazing but I guess this is destined to teens. A reader who's a little bit more demanding won't be satisfied with it.
I love the premise of Vale Valley and have enjoyed visiting it over and over again! To be honest, some stories have worked better for me than others, but they all have given me a little piece to add to the overall story!
I was excited to see Nathan get his story and his man... Caius is a wonderful name to go with an equally wonderful guy that I would have loved to learn more about in a more time-consistent manner. To say that the timeline in this story was confusing, would be an understatement... but, as long as you are going into this with the knowledge that it will be short and sweet, and a bit confusing, you should be fine! The fact that it was KU available took a bit of the sting out of the downside of this story! *grin*
I am in heaven reading these wonderful little stories. I love how all of them come around connecting each of the couples. I'm so glad they're back for more. I really liked how this one brought Caius to Vale Valley and that Nathan finally got his man. Two lonely souls brought together. I love that there's no messing around with these guys. They recognize their mate and go for it. We get to enjoy all the good sweetness of mating, falling in love and baby-making.
Cute short tale in the magical town of Vale Valley. A newcomer shifter and the tailor mage discover they are fated mates. The tale gives a brief backstory, the encounter and the developing relationship. A quick jump from Valentine's Day to Thanksgiving, the story ends happily.
Mr Crowe, the author, awarded me my copy in a drawing. I write this review because I enjoyed the tale; in fact, wet eyes of joy and a lasting smile came as I concluded reading.
All the books in this series are pretty much the same. A lonely guy meets someone on the run, they mate, and have a baby. In this case it's an omega mage and a lone wolf shifter alpha, and a mask is involved. Typos: too many to count. Most quotes are followed by a sentence fragment (e.g., "What? He said), lay and lie are mixed up, baby foxes are kits not pups, missing word, comma use, verb tenses, wrong words used.
Very cute and charming. The second season is off to a great start and I enjoyed it immensely! Caius and Nathan are cute and their meet-cute is super endearing. I also loved seeing familiar faces from the first season and getting a little glimpse into what was happening with them! An awesome read!
What do you do when you break your own rules at no love spells. Nathan is a mage of sorts and decides to help his friend out. Things go wrong and he ends up finding his mate or did he. Confused he decides to run but was it really magic that helped him discover his mate or fate.
I love the Vale Valley books. That sweet magical town has a special place in my heart. I'm so glad that we get Nathan's story. The perfect start for the second season.
This was a cute romance novel. It was a nice start to a new series about this lovely town. I always wondered after the Christmas books would Nathan get his own HEA and he finally did. I liked it.
I love this series Connor Crowd has done a wonderful job of keeping this book as short and somehow as sweet and sexy as all the other authors in season one and now two.
This was a cute story from Mr. Crowe. I was excited to be back in Vale Valley. There is a magical mix of people there and Connor’s characters are always the best. I’ve been looking forward to Nathan’s book.
2.75 stars -- I would've given it more if I'd gotten a little more background on either of the MCs (one flashback memory into an awful childhood isn't really a lot to go on). Otherwise, not a bad little Cinderella story.
Magical moments tha t lead to fated mates. Sweet, charming, hot and culminating in a baby. Well written a, fun short story... keeps the adventure in Vale Valley going.
This was a super sweet cute short story. I'm liking the Vale Valley series so far and this book is no different. A few things I would have liked: Certain aspects of the story could have been expanded and more background of the characters could have been given. Yet for a short story, it was good and I enjoyed it.
