Never get involved with a man who is competing for the same job as you. It's a bad idea. Obviously... And no, not even if the man is a complete dead ringer for Brad Pitt/Thor. No, not even if he’s an irresistible, charming sex god with his panty-melting smile and the sexy James Bond English accent to sweep you off your feet. Off Limits. That’s what that guy is. Off! Limits! And trouble. When I first met Hunter Kane I knew he was trouble. It all began in a bar on a night we should have had one-night stand. The kind that blows your mind, except I couldn’t remember what happened. Then I was convinced my eyes were screwing with me when he walked in for the same interview as me. Then we got drafted into this competition for the same job. That made him my rival. The one man I shouldn’t have… Except… He’s is the one man I can’t forget. It’s a bad idea to get involved. But the temptation of this man is too strong to resist, and my body keeps betraying me. I know one day it will blow up in my face. I even know what day that will be. We both have to choose. The job, or each other… Then wanting him will be the least of my problems.

Oh my this read melted my heart and had my eyes misty at times. The story of Hunter and Jia, who meet one night, get drunk and the next day fate steps in. Jia doesn’t remember the night before but Hunter does and doesn’t explain to her what all happened, which has her freaking out and now even more so that they are forced to partner up and compete for a job both want more than anything. Jia has a past that is heartbreaking and Hunter just got out of a relationship, the sparks and chemistry are there from the beginning and now seeing each other everyday has it exploding. What happens when it comes down to only one of them can have the job...who will win. What an amazing read with steamy scenes, and scenes that had me chuckling out loud. I loved the English accent that Hunter had and I could easily hear his voice in my head. I adored Jia, who kept things close to her chest but blossomed with Hunter. These two were the ultimate couple, and the story, to me, was a true romance, with amazing amazing characters who were easy to fall in love with. I loved the no drama between them and the BEST BEST part was the ending and the epilogue and its a read that should NOT be missed. *I voluntarily read an advanced copy and expressed my honest opinion*
This is an amazing romance. The storyline is well-written, steamy, has drama, chemistry, two developed characters who are artists vying for the same job after having had a drunken one night stand. The interactions between these two are engaging and engrossing. Fabulous epilogue! I voluntarily read an ARC and this is my honest review.
Jia and Hunter share an amazing night together however once morning come Jia doesn't remember much about it. Hunter remembers everything but is wary about telling her because he just ended a relationship and isn't sure what he wants to do about Jia. When it comes out the next day that they are competing for the same job things get even tenser between them. Will the job come between them before they even get their chance?
This is a great story once I started it I couldn't put it down. The chemistry between them is off the charts hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this to any book lover.
You shouldn’t go out the night before a big interview to drown your sorrows over a best friend who betrayed you because you never know who you might wake up next to the following morning. He might be the guy or girl who is also in competition for your position at work and it might be the start of something amazing. This is Jia and Hunters story. Jia being jilted by a supposed best friend who basically gave her savings away to her flavor of the week who ran away with it all. Hunter found his best friend in bed with his girlfriend. They collide in a bar and realize they really like each other, and both have a passion for art. They also learn they are in competition for the same job and must work together. Oddly they learn about themselves and each other and can’t see any way this wont end in heartache but they try anyway. Two different artists, two hearts, and two people who just want to be loved.
I did like the story of Jia and Hunter. I felt somethings were just added to the story but really didn’t play any part in it like the niece. I know there needed to be a dramatic reason why Jia stopped working for Impasso but we never really see her considering how important she supposedly was. There is a lot of sexy times in this book like kindle on fire sexy times. Some of the sex descriptions were kind of funny to me and I’m sure that was the opposite effect Khardine Gray was going for but that’s just my brain.
I liked that they were both selfless when it came to this job. They didn’t have some huge blowup about it. They just loved each other and that was that. That epilogue was so darn cute. I can just imagine it all. All in all if you love a book with heart and soul and some steam your kindle up sexy times then Art of Love is for you.
I loved this story it’s a fantastic read. Jia’s Ex best friends boyfriend had stolen $50,000 out of her bank account, she was going to buy a house with that money but now all of her plans have been shot to hell at least she has her internship to look forward to but Jia was so upset she went to the local bar and planned to get stinking drunk. Hunter had walked into the same bar he plans on getting blind drunk because 3 hours earlier he found his girlfriend having sex with his best friend and he was out to forget. Jia met Hunter she actually thought that he was Brad Pitt he looked so much like him, they both get blind drunk together then they went back to Hunters place. In the morning Jia wakes up with a big body next to her she doesn’t remember much of what happened the night before but she leaves as quick as she can because she has to go home and get ready for her interview. Jia arrives for the internship interview but she was told that there is two of them vying for one position, who ever was competing against her just walked in and Jia got the shock of her life it was Hunter the night before Hunter. This is such a fantastic story a 5 plus ⭐️ read and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.
The love story Khardine Gray tells of between Jia and the Englishman Hunter is smooth, easy reading, full of chemistry, loss, family, and a love and talent for art. The two have each come to a bar in LA to get drunk to stifle the pain they were currently experiencing. They did spend the night together, but Jia sneaks out the next morning and can't remember much. But when she goes to interview with her old boss, the owner of the art company Impasso, she is surprised when he tells her that for the next 16 weeks she will be competing for the position and then introduces her to the Brad Pit look-alike from the bar, Hunter. Not only that, but they must collaborate, communicate and produce together. The next day she learns that he is the protege of his famous artist grandfather, on whom she did her thesis for her art degree. This is a very entertaining read as the two spend time together, falling in love, not competing, but eventually coming to the time for their portfolios to be judged with the prize being the one job both crave!
Wow I’m not sure where to begin...this is an Amazing love story about Jia and Hunter. They meet in a bar one night hoping to forget their troubles. Jia ends up extremely drunk and Hunter ends up taking her home and the next morning Jia escapes before Hunter wakes up. Somehow they both end up at the same job and are expected to compete for it! Jia does not remember what happened and Hunter is having fun teasing Jia about it. Both Jia and Hunter have a heartbreaking past but the connection and sparks between them is something special. Working together and competing for the same job will have them on their toes! I enjoyed how each one goes into this relationship with honesty and no drama and how it naturally progressed into real love. Jia holds her heart close slowly allows Hunter in and Hunter’s determination to change his life’s work becomes equal to Jia’s as they have an unspoken connection over the Love of Art. These two complete each other and what will happen when one gets the job over the other one? I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
How would you react if your ex-best friend's boyfriend stole a truckload of funds from your bank account? You'd feel pretty bad. Jia certainly felt bad. Her future plans are shot. She's gonna get wasted, and wham. Fate decides to throw a curveball. But this curveball isn't just thrown at Jia. No, it's also thrown at Hunter. But let's make this more interesting. After a night of flames and passion, Jia's gone and Hunter's got the woman on the mind. And then, they're working together and Jia doesn't have a single clue to what they shared. But they've got something between them, and it can't be ignored. I do not recall ever reading a book by Khardine Gray. So this is definitely a first for me from her. I could not put it down. I adored Jia and Hunter. I loved the way art was incorporated into the plot. It was amazing.
DISCLAIMER: I am participating in a blog tour for this book, with InkSlingerPR. I received a complimentary copy of this book for my participation. This is my voluntary, honest review.

Now shock horror they are competing or the same internship and have to work together Jia still can't remember what happened that night and Hunter is still keeping mum about it .Who will get the job what really happened that night and will they have a future together you need to read t see
Art of Love by Khardine Gray is an exceptionally well written and wonderful love story. Well worth five stars and more! There isn't a thing about this book that I did not love. Jia and Hunter captured my heart from the beginning and their story captivated and held my attention from the beginning. These characters are very well developed and realistic with emotional depth. I also really enjoyed that this story's focus is all about their love for each other. It's straight up all about their love for each other and how they work together. It was quite refreshing! The dialogue was engaging, witty and at times emotional which brought the characters to life. That's not to say it's all hearts and flowers and smooth sailing, but I appreciated the author's approach to reconciling differences and obstacles to their HEA. Overall, this is an awesome book with an extremely satisfying HEA for this couple. I haven't stopped smiling yet!
Art you glad this romance was just a brush stroke away! I love art. Doing it. Looking at it. Reading about it. And, storylines about it. Thanks to author, Khardine Gray's Art of Love, I was able to spend some lovely hours immersed in the art world. The main characters, Jia and Hunter are artists who start out as competitors vying for a three year internship with a famous artist, John at his gallery, Impasso. However the longer they must spend time together the more in common they have. But, will their relationship interfere with who gets internship? Will the Choice survive? Definitely recommending this book for your reading pleasure and enjoyment. It is a well written and engaging characters that once you start it will be difficult to stop. I am unassumingly leaving a review of this book for your consideration.
Jia had plans to take the art world by storm, but chose to give up her coveted internship to care for her niece. She never regretted that move, but now she has the chance to fulfill her dream...or so she thinks. The internship she thinks is hers again can only happen if she beats out one other person. She is shocked to see that other person is Hunter, the smoking hot man form the other night! They both want the spot, but as they let heir walls down and start to let each other in, that spot isn't the most important thing anymore. Can they overcome their pasts, and their ambitions and have the passion and love and art? Loved this!!
He had the looks and the body of a god which made it hard for her to look away. one night of erotic romance was all it was supposed to be and when she sneaked away that was it. Jia got the surprise of her life when the next morning she walked in for an interview and Hunter was there and now she has to work with him. Talk about awkward! They are both trying out for the same job, but will feelings and drama get in the way of these two. What will they choose, and will they be able to handle the consequences of their decisions? I voluntarily agreed to receive an ARC of this book for an honest review.
I couldn't put this down. I had to read the whole thing in one sitting. I freaking loved it. Crazy hook up , trying to dodge out the next morning only to find out... surprise!! You have to work with him. There was a lot in this story. Besides the crazy hook up, family drama, messy break ups, death, and just dealing with life. There was a little of everything but not in a bad way. Just something that everyone can identify with. I had to laugh a lot thru this. The english slang was a crack up.
Jia meets Hunter in a bar initially and spends the night with him. They meet again the following day when they both turn up at an art gallery to compete with each other for the same intern job over the next few months. Hunter needs the job to prove to his father that he is a talented artist. Jia, having been robbed of her savings, needs the money from the job to support herself and get her niece through college. An unusual and interesting storyline with some humour and hot chemistry between Jia and Hunter, Read an ARC for an honest review.
Khardine Gray is a creative writer who differentiates her story lines by choosing unique characters and bringing them together. In this case, Jia and Hunter are both artists pursuing an apprenticeship with a world-renowned artist. They've both had challenges in their lives they've had to overcome, especially Jia, and getting this job would signify overcoming adversity for both of them. But their biggest challenge is competing for the same job while trying to resist the incredible attraction between them. Can they resist? Who will get the job? Read this page-turner to find out. It's worth it!
The story sucked me in from the very first moment and wouldn’t let go of me until I finished the book. Jia and Hunter’s crazy drunken encounter starts us on an emotional roller-coaster ride. A ride that’s all about understanding your own value and that of the people around you. The British slang was a world of fun, but this pair made me sigh over their sweetness even more times than I giggled at Hunter’s language. I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book from the author.
Wow what a wonderful book that took us right to the heart of the issues. Jia and Hunter are so much alike but different, they give us the opposite attract thing. They prove that no matter what's going on in your life love will always be the main joy and keep you going. I truly loved this book and recommend it. I give it 5 stars. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book as an Advanced Reader's Copy
I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book. I really enjoyed this book. It was different from anything I have read lately. So very refreshing. Hunter and Jia meet at a bar when they are both having the worst day ever. The next morning they find out they are competing for a job with a famous artist. Can they keep their growing feeling separate from the job they are both trying to get? I would definitely recommend this book.
Khardine Grey is an amazing author. I really enjoyed reading this sweet love story between Hunter and Jia. The plot was good. The storyline flowed smoothly throughout. Just an overall sweet amazing love story....

A one night stand turns awkward. The morning after, Jia sneaks out for a job interview to find Hunter also applying! They are required to spend a lot of time together and work together as part of the interview. This was an enjoyable read but a storyline that has been read before.
My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read.
A one night stand turns into a very awkward meet and greet the next morning when these two people are vying for the same art internship. Will Jia and Hunter be able to move forward without any animosity towards each other? Can they put their feelings aside and work together or will this bring them closer together? All those questions can be answered by reading the book.
Khardine Grey is an amazing author. I really enjoyed reading this sweet love story between Hunter and Jia. The plot was good. The storyline flowed smoothly throughout. The characters were well-developed and easily relatable. I was hooked from the very beginning. I loved how Hunter and Jia compromised for true love. That is what love is all about. I really enjoyed this book. Khardnine has outdone herself. You won't stop until you finish. Hunter and Gia have one amazing love story. The emotion and chemistry these characters give off is amazing. The story flowed and keeps you entertained. Definitely recommend this book.
What a premise for a story! Jia and Hunter meet in a bar and have a one night stand. The next day, they find out they are competing for the same position. This was an enjoyable story with great characters, humor, insecurities, and a HEA.
A well written romance that has humor, love, twists, emotions, competition, drama and attraction all over it. Likeable characters with nice chemistry. They are well described and develops nicely through the story. A captivating read that I read in one setting. Kept me wanting to know more.
This was a fun read that offers great characters and chemistry. The entertaining plot is part comedy of errors and part drama. These characters were likable and complex. I thought this book was very enjoyable. This is my candid, voluntary review.
