Catch Me If You Can meets Fever Pitch . Trevor Kraus has snuck into the Super Bowl, World Series, Wimbledon, and more than 20 other major sporting events. Ticketless shows the world how he did it. While UrbanDaddy calls Kraus "the best spin-mover there ever was," this 100% true, tell-all memoir is about far more than forging tickets and dodging security guards. Kraus calls himself an "insecure, over-analytical virgin ... with a dad who died cold and alone," and spares no detail in describing his struggles through young adulthood. Readers say Ticketless will make you "uncomfortable with emotional rawness ... and yet hopeful to the point of tears." Says Andy Glockner, author of Chasing Perfection, "Ticketless packs the intensity, drama, guts and inside access diehard sports fans live for, but even if you've never watched a game (or thought about sneaking into one), the humanity behind Trevor's tales will leave you laughing at, relating to, and ultimately rooting for him."
What a fun read! Funny, honest, captivating, and heartfelt. The author is a fantastic storyteller. His passion for sports is intense, but his stories show that it's the people we love and the memories we make that really make sports (and life) come alive.
There's a little bit of content that I wouldn't recommend for younger sports fans and readers (social activities of college students), but it's just part of the story, not overdone to be racy or edgy.
Overall I enjoyed this insight into the world of sneaking into sporting events, but I felt it did suffer from pacing issues and some confusing jumps back and forth in the timeline. I thought it was going to be more focused on sneaking into events, but it really reads more like a memoir with the “action” secondary.
Probably too old to appreciate this. Young bloke sneaking in to football, baseball, basketball and hockey games. Tries to provide some extracurricular detail about his loose old man, his virginity and bad luck with women. Might suit someone in 20’s or early 30’s who are a bit green and haven’t seen much of life…
I am not a sports fan, but this book held my interest. A true story of Trevor Kraus's college years, and how he devised a plan to sneak into sporting events. It sounds like a book I would never want to read, but his stories about his life with his father, his brother, college friends, and always in pursuit of a girlfriend, kept me reading.
An awesome story of a young man coming of age which happens to coincide with various sporting events. If you are a fan of sports or just a fan of an all-American tale, this book is well worth your time.
I picked up this book and it was done in 3 days. Mind you, I have a job, a wife, two kids, and hobbies. I HAD to know what was going to happen next for Trevor. Not just what would happen to him, but what would HE make happen. This book is a great mix of heart-pounding adventure as Trevor convinces his friends to come along, scopes his target, makes his move, and the final product...a free game. But it isn't about getting in for free. It is about WANTING it so bad to get in. Who wants the team to win more? The person who paid $80 to $800 for the ticket to come in at the 3rd inning, and leave in the 8th? Or the fan who defied all odds and arrived 2 hours before and stays until security tells him to leave after a loss?
Intensity. A defining word for Trevor. It brings out the best and the worst of us all depending on how we focus it. Trevor has some intense situations in this book and he writes it so relatable and as if we were there. Or maybe it feels that way because we HAVE been there. We have struggled with our parents. with our lost loves, and with friendships that burn so bright in their prime, but peter off as our lives grow further apart.
I highly recommend this book, and hope to see more from this author.

A book worth reading, while it sounds like it is a sports book, and in some ways it is, it is more about the writer than sports. I found the writing well done and the book kept my interest.
