Three fabulous entertaining tales of good women and their determined men. Each story is different and extremely delightful. This is a must-read box set and I highly recommend it.
FALLING FOR THE GOVERNESS: I loved this sweet gentle story of the daughter of a Baron who finds herself alone in the world with no family to protect her. After the death of her father, all his worldly possessions, shipping business and money were given to his evil partner, Mr. Smith. Isabella had turned down a request of marriage from Mr. Smith who became spiteful and malicious because of the rejection. He was older than her father. Now that he had everything that belonged to Isabella even her clothes, he expected her to beg for mercy and consent to marry him. She did not. Her father's lawyer, Mr. Jenkins, knew how awful Mr. Smith was treating Isabella and helped her gain employment as a governess at the Duke of Wintercrest. That was the beginning of the most wonderful times of her life and the most sad and awful times of her life. Mr. Smith would not relent in his revenge against Isabella. She makes dear friends of servants and family and then the unthinkable happens. A wonderful story of love, loss, revenge and justice.
SAVING LADY ABIGAIL: Oh my goodness... I just loved this story of Lady Abigail and Lord Colton. This an intense read and full of twists and turns. Colton and Abigail both need rescuing, Colton from the horrors of war and the death of his father, Abigail from a foolish disinclination to believe what she has been told about a man who is interested in her. This is a touching story about PTSD, disfigurement and guilt.
A CINDERELLA FOR THE DUKE: (swoon) What a great story. I love this new twist on the Cinderella tale. There is Cinderella, Lady Louisa, the wicked step-mother is Louisa's Aunt, the spoiled step sister is Louisa's cousin who is just like her mother and the other step sister is her other cousin who is sweet and kind. At the ball, the prince is Duke Rowland, the king is Rowland's Uncle and of course Rowland's best friend Jasper. There is no slipper but when Louisa went to a masquerade party at the Duke's estate, she wore a beautiful green gown. Thus the search began for the lady in the green dress. What a wonderful interpretation.

I found this a really good book. I loved all 3 of these books and rereading them again now is like coming home to my favourite books.
Falling for the Governess - I liked the relationship between Isabella and Christian. They had mutual respect from the start. I liked the 2 villains in the book they weren’t over done just enough to move the book forward.
Saving Lady Abigail - The relationship between Abigail and Colton was complicated from the start. They dislike each other at first but after time spent together they start to like each other.
A Cinderella for the Duke - A classic fairytale brought to life within a romantic story. This has a great base with a chance encounter with the main characters. Lady Louisa so dislikes the Duke of Rowland’s face he shows when out in public and tells him so in the first public occasion they dance at together. The Duke of Rowland is on the hunt for a wife and so holds a masquerade ball so the mystery of a mask might help him find love but when he does find her she ends up running the other way and he doesn’t know why. Will he ever find her again.

This book has three previously published stories. Each story has a strong lady as well as a strong hero. These are clean, sweet and wholesome stories with a happily ever after. I loved the stories. The characters are very likeable. Each story held my interest. I received a copy and this is my honest opinion.

A young female, struggling to make her way in the world, is at the center of each of the 3 stories. A bad choice for a suitor, then having second thoughts about him, puts one of our young ladies in deadly danger. Another , a Lady, whose father’s death left her home and belongings to an unscrupulous partner, must now find employment, forsaking her place in society. Our third story finds a young Lord in need of a wife. The young lady of our story, loses the Uncle who had been raising her to death, and has only a maternal Aunt and cousins upon whom to rely. Living with them, she is treated as a servant to the family, with an Aunt who only begrudgingly took her into her home. How this third young lady and the young lord find each other is a delightful read!
All three stories are heartwarming and encouraging reads. Just the thing for a snowy weekend! Overall, 4.5 Stars

For those wanting a more in-depth look at the stories, I have reviewed each below.
“Falling for the Governess”
A sweet story of a young woman, Isabella, whose father’s sudden death resulted in loss of everything to her father’s unscrupulous business partner-her home and everything in it. Suddenly bereft of family, income and home, she had to look for a position to support herself. Her father’s attorney found a position of governess for her in an estate far from London, her friends and all she had known. Off she sets for a new life in a lowly position in society, to be a governess in a vast household.
She is soon made to made to feel the heat of bitterness from the head housekeeper, who lords it over Isabella, placing her remotely from the governess’s room in which she deserved to be placed. She humbles herself and tries her best to be the teacher her little French charge deserves and needs. However, she is not to be left in peace by the business partner who took everything from her-he her wants her for himself. If he can’t have her, then he sets out to ruin her for anyone else and maligns her integrity with an ad in the paper asking for information on her, claiming she stole from him! This ad sets in play a series of events that results in Isabella’s leaving her position abruptly and running to the home of friends who kindly took her in and provided for her.
However, the youngest son of the household had fallen in love with Isabella and heroically comes to her aid to rid her of the menace of the corrupt business partner and his scurrilous claims. A happy ending for Isabelle.
This sweet story has no cursing nor intimate scenes that might offend anyone, making it appropriate for young adults interested in a love story with a happy ending.

“Saving Lady Abigail”
A warm hearted book of a young couple struggling to find their place in life. Abigail, a beautiful young woman, wants to improve the lives of the less fortunate and finds working in a foundling home most satisfying. Colton has returned from fighting Napoleon and is scarred in both body and spirit. Guilt is overwhelming him-guilt for the young men he could not save, and for the death of his father that occurred while he was gone, as he thinks HE was the cause of his father’s death. But his heart is as warm and caring as is Abigail’s, and he becomes involved in the ladies helping the foundlings.
Abigail has involved herself with a young man, but unbeknownst to her and her family, he has amassed great gambling debts, which her dowry would go along way in alleviating. When she declines to marry him rapidly, he kidnapps her to run off to Gretna Green for a quick wedding. Guess who her family sends to rescue her? Colton!
Each one rescues the other, in a way. Colton physically rescues Abby, but Abby’s loving patience slowly softens the scarred inner man and allows him to forgive himself and forget his outer scars enough to allow him to function as the man he truly is-one caring very much about the less fortunate. In addition to the “beauty and the beast” variation, the kidnapping of Abby, the restoration of a country home and its inhabitants, we also have a journey to America, making this an enjoyable story.
There is no profanity, nor any explicit scenes in the book, making it appropriate for readers of all ages.

“A Cinderella for the Duke”
Captivating story from the beginning, of young woman sent to console Aunt and 2 sisters after the death of their husband/father. Previously unknown to her was that from a young age, her grandparents had arranged for her Father to have married her Aunt. However, her Aunt fell in love and ran off with someone else. Her mother then stepped up to marry in her place to maintain peaceful relations between the 2 families. However, difficult economic circumstances brought anger and jealousy to her Aunt, who came to resent the good life her sister had acquired by marrying in her place.
Now cognizant of the history between the 2 sisters, Louisa is sent to try to help her Aunt and cousins after her uncle’s death, with the hope of re-establishing family relationships. Unfortunately, the Aunt takes out her jealousy and anger she feels towards her sister, on Louisa. Patiently, humbly, Louisa tries to fulfill each chore put upon her, realizing the underlying feelings that drive her aunt to treat her so demeaningly.
The Duke has been given an ultimatum from his uncle: marry or lose the use of his inherited funds until he is 30. SO, back home he comes to reluctantly search for a bride. A job that he thought would be easy (find some willing female, marry her, then take off to parts unknown leaving her to pursue her own interests) turns out to be far more difficult that he imagined. He finds that the superficialiality displayed by females intend on marrying a title, sets his teeth on edge and he finds himself turning away from the majority of available young girls. Only one has been honest with him, and in so being has irritated him. Thus, both Louisa and the Duke find themselves irritated with the other, with no intention of getting to know each other better.
A masquerade ball changes all of that. Wearing a dress belonging to her cousin, masked, Louisa slips into a side room to escape her Aunt and cousins, only to come face to face with a masked man. Neither recognizes the other, and a playful game of “cat & mouse” ensues, with the Duke trying to determine who the lady is, and the lady also in the dark as to the identity of the man. Later, after rejoining the crowd, with the agreement to share a dance, Louisa sees some men she does recognize come to the masked man and deliver information or receive instruction. From this, she dedeuces that the masked man is the duke and runs away rather than face him. The mystery of the lady in the green dress drives the Duke to try to solve the problem, by visiting many young women to determine if they were the mystery lady.
So......Why does Louisa NOT make her identity known at the masked ball and for a prolonged time after the ball? She realizes the uproar it will cause to her Aunt’s household, as the eldest daughter is the lady expected to win the Duke. Furthermore, the younger daughter has fallen in love with a soldier, too lowly for her mother’s taste. Louisa thinks that if she stays out of the picture and allows the eldest daughter to keep company with the DUKE, her Aunt might be persuaded to accept the younger daughter’s Suitor.
This was a skillfully written twist or variation on the Cinderella story, in that ONLY after I finished the book did I realize the connection to the story and to Cinderella. I was totally engrossed in the story. For those careful readers, there are also life lessons to learn: WHY to not be jealous and angry. WHY to be humble and generous, not overbearing and trying to be someone you are not.
This is a clean book, suitable for all ages of Regency readers.

These three stories, two of which were my first time reading. They will not disappoint you!! They are all full of lots of romance and emotion. These three women are beautiful and special each in their own personal way. Great story lines with three handsome Gentlemen who have wealth and title. And they will just make your heart Melt !!
Falling For The Governess-
Isabella was engaged secretly to the the Duke of WinterCrest. Until some set backs got the best of the situation. This totally put everything and everyone in a state of panic. Now Isabella has left WinterCrest Manor where she was the Governess. Because of her embarrassing past .A very vile and deceitful man was ruining her reputation. But Christian, the Duke of WinterCrest is on a mission to get his beloved Isabella back in his arms again. He did not care what society thought of him. I loved these two main characters .They had so much passion for each other.
Saving Abigail- Lord Colton Frasier, Earl of Gilchrist. He enlisted to go off to war. His father disagrees with his decision. Colton wanted to have experiences and adventures. Unfortunately, Colton returns home with ugly scarring which disfigured his face and many regrets. It has changed him inside and outside. Screaming nightmares that won't go away. Easily makes him turn into a rage of anger toward his loved ones. The only person he can get close to and reveal his feelings with is Lady Abigail. She sees his wonderful character inside first ,not his face. There is kindness understanding and compassion. Colton trys to explain the truth about another gentleman she sees to Abigail. So she will understand he is not what she thinks. He is a very vile, deceitful, and greedy man in debt. He abducts her against her will . Her brother, Duke of WinterCrest asks Colton to please go to her rescue. He does, also with intentions of marrying Abigail and to save her reputation. It takes a beautiful woman to bring a man's redeeming qualities out. And Abby 's beautiful writing of this story brings Colton back!!
A Cinderella For The Duke-A new version of that Enchanting Story. Lady Louisa Frasier goes away to meet with family. Only in this story instead of the glass slipper, the Duke of Rowland is looking for the beautiful woman who was wearing that Green Dress. And he will not give up until he finds her. He knows in his heart she is the one !! Fantastic Book Set highly recommended.

Here we have 3 delightful romances loaded with emotion, drama, action, plot twists, and of course, love! Below is a review of my favorite!

*** Reviewing SAVING LADY ABIGAIL ***
Lord Colton Frasier, the Viscount Dunthorpe, announced to his father that he had purchased a lieutenant’s commission to join the Regulars so that he could see the world and experience adventure and to fight for his king. The Earl of Gilchrist was not happy to hear this, but his son was old enough to make such decisions for himself. He would be leaving at the end of the week. At the dinner table, he announced his intention to the ladies of his family. His mother did not take the news well and left the dinner table. His sister was content as long as he would write to her often.

Lady Abigail, 19 years old, was now of marrying age. Captain Jones was joining the family for dinner, along with 3 lieutenants. Perhaps one of them might be interesting? Most gentlemen wanted a quiet, prim, and proper lady – but that was not Lady Abigail at all! She was free-spirited and full of adventure! Yet she vowed that she would only marry someone she loved and who loved her in return. She was looking forward to the family’s trip to London for the Season.

Colton Frasier, now the Earl of Gilchrist, is a badly scarred veteran back from the war. He is self-conscious about his horrible disfigurement and loathes being stared at, so he becomes abrasive to people. Lady Abigail had found him rude when they met. But repeated encounters show her another side to him. And he is the one to save her when she gets into a bad predicament with a man who is not what he pretends to be. How far will Colton go to save and protect Lady Abigail? Can she look past the scars and see him for who he truly is?

This was an enjoyable book. The description provided was so well presented that the reader had no problem at all becoming immersed in London with the family members. It made for a very real appreciation of society during this period. The characters were well developed, their personalities distinct and memorable. The reader could see the close relationships and the love among the friends and relatives. The story line was excellent, pulling the reader in! I have no problem highly recommending this book! I loved it from start to finish.

These three books weave together love, family and perception of duty. And, as usual,Abby Ayles tells these stories flawlessly....

The first book is about Isabella and Christian. When Isabella lost almost everything. But she found a new life and thought she could move beyond her past with the love of Christian, who fights for her standing and their love. We meet Christian's sister Abigail and she is solidly in their corner supporting Isabella and Christain as their love grows stronger

Book two is Abigail’s story. Colton comes back from war so physically and emotionally stricken his family isn’t sure he’ll ever recover. Then his sister Louisa starts an outreachand gets Isabella and Abigail to help out. Abigail and Colton begin a tentative friendship, but all will be lost until Colton, battlescared and shell shocked , shows up and saves her from a miserable life. Love quickly blossoms between the two as they both help heal each other. What I like about this is that the author doesn’t just gloss over real life in the Regency era: that war and its aftermath are real and really impact people.

The third book: “A Cinderella for a Duke” focuses on Colton’s sister Louisa. Louisa’s life has turned inward with Colton and Abigail gone and Isabella now busy with her children. Thinking she’s going to be the spinster in the family, she takes on salvaging her mother and aunt’s broken relationship.

This story is an intriguing take on Cinderella. Louisa’s Aunt is the “evil” one, using her as a pawn between her and her sister. However, Louisa ends up finding love in most unusual place, when the Duke of Rowland finds he must get married to get his inheritance and he could care less who it actually is, until at a masquerade ball he falls in love instantly with an unknown lady. In battling her Aunt, Louisa and the Duke of Rowland have to battle each other before they can finally be happy together.

3 wonderful stories of becoming your own independent self in a world that expects you to fall in line with expectations of the ton? And successfully suceed! Brava Abby Ayles. Highly recommended.5/5

Saving Lady Abigail
This story is well thought out and well written. The story flows. Characters are fleshed out. You feel like you know these people. You understand their feelings. Wonderful descriptions enable you to envision the story as it unfolds. Very hard to put the book down. A beautiful story. You won't want to miss this one.
Abby is a wonderful author!! Way to go Abby!!

Falling for the Governess
When Isabella's father passes aways she is left with nothing. Her home, money and the business all goes to her father's business partner, Mr. Smith. He sees this as a way to get even with Isabella for turning down his proposal four years earlier. She goes to work as the governess at Wintercrest Manor. She worries Mr. Smith will find her. Isabella and the new Duke fall in love. Will they marry? When Isabella's past catches up with her will the Duke help her or will he turn his back to her? This is a well written and thought out clean story with twists and turns. It flows well. Characters are fleshed out. I highly recommend it.

A Cinderella for the Duke:
I loved the story! I realized rather quickly that this book was patterned after the fairy tale of Cinderella. I do think the lady on the cover should have been wearing a green dress. You will find out why when you read the story. Lady Louisa journeys to her aunt's to offer comfort to her aunt and cousins after the passing of her uncle. She is treated like a servant. Does Louisa stay and take this abuse? Or does she give up and go back home? What would make her stay? Did she manage to become friends with one of the cousins?

The Duke of Rowland has recently arrived from the Indies. His uncle had informed him he had to marry to receive his inheirtance or wait until he was 30. The Duke knew there were many ladies who would like to be a Duchess and he didn't care who he married. He intended to get married and return to the Indies while his wife stayed at home and did whatever she pleased. Did he do this or did he change his mind? What happened to make him search for a certain lady? Did he find her or was she forever lost to him?

I read these books as they came out.

KICKIN' UP THE DUST!!!
Oh, man. This is one exciting storyline, I was captivated from start to finish. Totally blew me away at the first paragraph, heck maybe even the first sentence. It has all the excitement you'd expect from Abby with all the suspense and drama. It was smooth flowing with plenty of twists, turns and surprises to keep your attention. I was so immersed I couldn't put it down. Not for a second. The scenes and characters were so detailed and the description related perfectly. They were so realistic I was biting my nails and tightenin my tummy when it got really serious. It played out so well it was like a flower openin up welcoming the spring. I know I probably say every time that this is the best book ever, but I'm going to say it again. Abby continues to leave me in awe. She has such a gift with bringing her stories to life. My family constantly grows. Well, you know? The characters. They are so deeply and affectionately described that they feel like a part of my family. Abby has done such a phenomenal job bringing this read to life and into mine. Fantastic job Abby, thanks for sharing this little gem with us.

These are three beautiful Regency era romances. Clean and sweet, and full of ladies and lords, a few cads, some gallantry and, of course, our courageous heroines. Abby Ayles has a smooth style of writing. The words flow easily, and the reader can get lost in the lovely English countryside. Or the cold moors that hover on the Scottish border. At any rate, these are extremely sweet and romantic tales.

Three ladies stories of finding love.

Each book worked well with the others and it was a pleasure to be able to join them in their homes and relate to these women.
Lots of society interactions with stress, challenges, meeting potential mates and carefully choosing which one was best for themselves then unexpectedly falling in love. Each book has an epilogue and then the extended epilogue which I really enjoyed. Thank you Abby for these wonderful stories.

Truly Uplifting Stories

I enjoyed the Box Set by Abby Ayles, each book could be read as a stand alone. However it was more enjoyable to read the continuing lives of each of the Family members and their friends.

Was a little dissapointed though that the Extended Epilogue didn't finish as I hoped.
