This is a succinct guide to energy and manipulation. There are interesting summaries on energy and certain practices common to Western witchcraft. It is not extensive, but is a nice introduction. Its briefness left me wanting more and the layouts of this book's pages made it (for me) feel like the excessive margins and large font were only to make the book appear longer than it is. I would love to see the author expand on what is started within these pages and have the publisher format the pages with a better standard.
Books that are practical, written for reasoning minds and are helpful to their readers often seem hard to find. This one is a jewel. It's a quick read and not overly wordy. Informative and instantly useable guides for tweaking ones craft using the natural energies around us. For us non-theists, it feels like a breath of fresh air.
I've struggled for 5 years now in dancing back and forth with deity or non-deity magick, noticing that my magick which didn't involve any deity work seemed most efficient. As a former southern Baptist minister-turned-scientism-turned-athiest-turned-witch, this is the book I've needed! Thank you for sharing with us!
While short, there is plenty of information here, including a good overview of the various types of energy, and thoughts on how to focus energy for various purposes. The several meditation and visualization exercises have been especially helpful to me. Despite the title, this would be useful to anyone interested in witchcraft or in directing their energies.
A disappointing skim intended for a child. No biblio, no footnotes…no more time will I waste on this silly sashay into not much of anything you couldn’t find in Wiki
