This week was my third Monday. I didn't plan on reading ahead, but then I did. The consequence of doing that is I feel like I shouldn't be waiting weeks to take the suggested actions!!!

I generally like this kind of book, because I frequently find info or ideas for things I can easily include in my life that also help others or the planet, or both. This one had a few good ideas, but a lot of them were ones that I already knew about or are outdated. I know, I picked it up at a thrift store, so what did I expect? Well, I had hope, anyway. The other thing about this book, though, is that it is poorly designed. The fonts are hard to read, the pictures are not creative and don't really add value. Just not a great book.

Some interesting ideas but not always feasible. Being friendly is admirable but not well recieved by strangers. Small steps.

This was a random find on the clearance shelf at Fred's. It was a short read and it is filled with a lot of motivational and encouraging quotes. It is very different from other self help books because it gives you a plan to follow. Each Monday you are given a different task to complete. Many of the task involve helping others and getting other involved. It is awesome how helping others or taking your focus off of self can actually help your situation. Each Monday the authors also list statistics regarding each task. They also give you reasons as to why each task will be helpful to you and others.

This is an excellent motivational tool for anyone looking for mostly practical ways to make a difference. Some of the "ways" are a bit difficult, but most of the 52 are expected to be ongoing acts that will help you grow as a person and, most importantly, help others.

If you are a teacher, these Monday activities are also good for beginning of the week motivators with your students. There is a curriculum that goes with the book.

Ok, I read a harback of this, but I don't see that edition on here, so I'm using this one.

This is a very short book which is supposed to be an inspirational kinda thing. My whole team got one from our boss at the time a few years ago.

Honestly, it didn't do much for me. It's worth a read if you're into that kinda thing, and it's short enough that it's not a major time investment, but I can't say I really cared for it.

There's some really great, easy to do, practical ideas of how to make the world - or just your town - a little better place to live. I'm not a fan of all 52 and there's a few I will probably never do, but by and large, it's a pretty inspirational book with some really neat-o simple things for you to do or get involved with to make a difference!

SUPER fast read, but cute, inspirational and a great gift book. It's sold at Kinko's right now-in fast that's where I literally finished the Entire thing while my husband was faxing like a million documents today. It's very cute and I felt really good about myself after reading it b/c I'm doing like 70% of the things the book tells you to do so-woohoo! LOL. . . .

I may end up buying this book. One of the items was to sign up for amber alerts that go to your cell phone. I did that last night. I like that these things are doable. Well, most of them anyway, I sort of flipped through last night.

Switched to my "to buy someday" shelf even though I didn't read the whole thing. I would definitely buy this though.

yea this book was just ok. A lot of the ideas were great to get started, but the fact of the matter was that I just didn't do them. Either i forgot about it or it was something that I was not comfortable with from previous experiences. Again I think that the idea was nice, but not really realistic in this girls life. Not unless I am already doing the things.

An easy to follow book filled with 52 ideas that can make a world of difference! A great mixture of eye-opening facts/statistics, inspiring quotes, and simple step-by-step instructions that can be accomplished in less than a day (a Monday perhaps?) A great read for children, teens and adults looking for ways to get involved.

I think this is a great concept for a book! It's an easy read showing you simple things you can do to make a difference in this world. I think everyone should not only read this book, but participate in every activity. It's too easy not to!

Interesting concept. I read straight through it and while some things I could do there are quite a few that don't pertain to my life. Someone looking for ways to feel better about the direction they are going could benefit from this book.

This book has very great suggestions for using your time wisely. It calls you to make a difference, change something, or do something good. I didn't use this book every Monday. Though this is a book that I referenced to be productive, change bad habits or make good use of time. My favorite thing on my new to do list is to smile! Smiling can tell people that you're happy to be around, in their presence, or you're happy to talk to them. Another good thing about this book is you can be proud of your accomplishment, this book is full of things you do not really think about doing.
