These 2 stars are for the first two books as that's all I could force myself to read. I found the writing style to be really pretentious and I didn't like the mcs at all. This authors writing style is just not for me.

i read this box set as part of an arc program.
This set includes:
Rent Boy, Shared Custody, Country Boys, Ace in the Hole, and Innovative Desires.

I have read:

Rent Boy- I really enjoyed this romance between Jacob and Evan. Jacob was a very successful journalist who was brought up in a very religious and conservative household. Jacob was in his thirties and he was still a virgin. Jacob decided to hired Evan, a male escort, to finally take a chance on intimacy. Jacob and Evan met and arranged a date at Evan's home later that night. When Jacob showed up, he was nervous and after he kissed Evan, he left suddenly. Evan was surprised to find himself really attracted to Jacob and wanting to be more than a client to him. Evan had new feelings for Jacob and soon Evan decided he needed to teach Jacob how to approach men and how to be comfortable making himself available. Jacob was confused and realized he enjoyed spending time with Evan and wanted more with him. Jacob and Evan both were new to relationships and faced many problems, not only with Evan's job, but with Jacob being in the closet and his upbringing. I enjoyed the friendship between Jacob and Evan the formed while they were developing feelings for each other. I thought they balanced each other out and both taught the other things. I loved how open Evan was and was not ashamed of who he was.

Shared Custody- I loved this book about two men who were given custody of two small children after their parents died. Lenny's sister and Patton's best friend were parents to Jenna and Remi and when they died, they wanted Lenny and Patton to raise the children together. Lenny was an accountant and was used to everything being in order. Patton was an actor and was used to doing whatever he wanted whenever he wanted to. Lenny didn't think Patton would really stay to help with the kids, but he was surprised when the kids liked Patton and they wanted to be around him. Lenny had many rules and was frustrated when Patton couldn't do things the way he wanted him to. Eventually Lenny began to feel an attraction to Patton and the more he fought it, the stronger it got. Patton also began to be attracted to Lenny and wanted to win him over. Lenny was worried if things didn't work out, the situation would be worse for the kids. The attraction proves to be too much to fight and the men give in and begin a relationship, but they have a lot to work through with their careers and how much they can trust each other. I liked this story and it proves opposites do attract. I loved how carefree Patton was and i thought Lenny needed to learn to relax and enjoy himself.

Country Boys- This was a second chance romance between high school friends Kyle and A.J. Kyle is returning to his home town to take a job at A.J.'s ranch as a ranch hand after losing his job in the city and not being able to find work. Kyle has had a hard time lately after his mother died and his sister left for France. Kyle and his sister are barely talking to one another and Kyle is depressed. When Kyle sees an ad on facebook for a ranch hand at A.J.'s ranch, he thinks it could help him get back on his feet. Kyle used to tutor A.J. in high school and he always had a crush on him, but he thinks A.J. is straight. A.J. and his father have been working the ranch, but his father is getting old and they need help. A.J. hires Kyle and wonders where he has been for the past ten years. A.J. is in the closet and always had a crush on Kyle and is looking forward to seeing him again. When Kyle shows up at the ranch, it is clear he doesn't know much about ranching and A.J. wants to show him everything he loves about it and hopes he will stay and they will have a chance. Kyle is confused about his feelings about A.J. and thinks he is unworthy of love. When A.J. and Kyle act on their attraction, Kyle panics and pulls away emotionally, leaving A.J. determined to give Kyle time to accept his feelings. I liked this story and thought Kyle was depressed and having a hard time with feeling worthy of love. He was scared of hurting A.J. and losing his friend and his new start. I liked A.J. and thought he was a good guy who wanted to be loved. Good one.

Innovative Desires- This is the romance between Simon and Alard. Simon is a computer programmer who is working on apps for nonprofits and is looking for funding for his projects. Alard is a businessman who owns a large computer company and when they meet at a conference where people are looking for funding, Alard thinks Simon's idea is very familiar and wants to hire him right away. Simon thinks it could be a dream come true to have his funding, but he is unsure if he wants to work for Alard because he is running a for profit company. Alard knows the project Simon is working on and thinks it is too close to one of his own to be a coincidence. Alard begins to suspect someone leaked information to Simon and he wants to know who. Alard and Simon have an attraction to one another, but Alard doesn't know if he can trust Simon. When there is a past connection between them revealed, they have to see if they can be together and how to move forward with their careers. I liked this book, i liked that Simon knew how he wanted to achieve his dreams and he didn't want to change them for Alard. Alard was really a good guy who wanted to do the right thing, and he really didn't want to cause Simon to change. I thought they were really good together and i think Simon made Alard remember the way he felt when he was starting out in business and had dreams of his own.

Great set

Off but interesting.

A collection of 5 relatively short stories, but apart from the first one they don't have a lot to do with rent boys. Nevertheless they are interesting but not overly exciting in plot of passion. So the first book is the best with a decent plot and a good amount of male on male action.

This is a great set of M/M stories. Each full-length novel has different characters and circumstances, but all the characters are fantastic and the love is hot and sweet. Themes include first time, second chance, opposites attract, friends-to-lovers, and enemies-to-lovers.

Rent Boy - 4 stars
I loved watching Jacob and Evan blur the line between business and pleasure...and then obliterate the line. This is a sweet, sexy story about overcoming differences and misunderstandings, and making the choice between love and money. Perfect story by two great authors.

Shared Custody - 4 stars
This is an enjoyable opposites attract love story. Strait-laced Lenny and carefree Patton are designated to share custody of the two young children of Lenny’s deceased sister and brother-in-law, who was Patton’s best friend. Lenny and Patton initially mix like oil and water, but they do their best for the sake of the children. The two men need to work hard to understand the other’s strengths if they are going to make a family. Great story!

Country Boys - 5 stars
I really enjoyed this story. The characters of Allen are Kyle are complex, with internal conflict - guilt, angst, and uncertainty. I liked the way that, even though they feel attraction to each other, the romance plays out slowly and realistically as the two men find their way to what is most important to them. This is a well-written story and I recommend it.

Ace in the Hole - 4 stars
This is a great collaboration from two outstanding M/M authors. This is a fun, crazy friends-to-lovers story. (I loved the stereotypical cheesy Vegas wedding!) But this isn't just a lightning bolt I'm in love with my best friend moment. The transition from friends to lovers progresses at a realistic pace, and there are real fears about the risk of ruining the friendship. The main characters were great. Very well done.

Innovative Desires - 4 stars
This was a very enjoyable, complicated romance. When Alard sees a young developer showcasing technology very similar to what his company is developing he wonders how he came by it. To find out and control someone he sees as a threat, he hires him, not expecting the feelings that develop. The story is full of suspicions, mistrust, differing ideals and priorities, secrets, and an old feud. It was complex, intricate, and interesting. It kept me turning pages eager to see how these two would fall in love and work toward an HEA.

Five unique unrelated stories in this bundle where each one focuses on a different couple and the struggles and quirks of having a relationship, making it work, finding love, and happiness.
RENT BOY 4☆
Jacob is a billionaire with a very structured life, he is also a virgin. Evan is the rent boy hired to give Jacob the boyfriend experience. Their business transaction is complicated when an emotional connection is felt between both men from the moment they meet. Great story but the ending feels incomplete, like it needs one more chapter - or an epilogue.
SHARED CUSTODY 5☆
Lenny is known for being the responsible guy, not the fun guy and suddenly finds himself with custody of his niece and nephew. Patton is an actor, he fun guy, not the responsible one, but suddenly he has to co-parent his best friends kids. This is an emotional story where acquaintances have to work together to raise two young children. While this is all a learning experience for them, with many ups and downs, they learn more about each other, and soon a beautiful relationship evolves into a sweet HEA.
COUNTRY BOYS 4☆
Kyle returns to his hometown after his mothers death to work on a ranch since he has had no luck finding work after college. AJ needs help on the family ranch since the work is too much for his dad. Kyle and AJ were friends in high school and each had a secret crush on the other. This story has a lot of angst and inner turmoil but ends with a super sweet HEA.
ACE IN THE HOLE 5☆
Oliver is a professional poker player who needs help with his interfering, manipulative mother. Leo is a struggling waiter who would do just about anything for his friend. Casual friends make a plan for a fake marriage and soon realize their feelings run much deeper than either one thought. Lots of laughs and craziness in this story that ends with sweetly satisfying HEA.
INNOVATIVE DESIRES 3.5 ☆
Simon is an inventor for an app looking for investors. Alard is the CEO of a huge tech company and finds something suspicious about this app. For me, this story got off to a slow start but turned out good. This is a May/December romance that has a very bumpy path to follow before they finally get their HEA which is sweet.

(Review with spoilers)

Collection of short stories. So far, I've only read the first one, Rent Boy. I loved it. I want to read the other stories.

Evan is an escort. Jacob has a respectable job. They are both gay. But that's where their resemblance ends. Their lives are different. They didn't know each other until now. Jacob is a virgin and has hired Evan to solve his 'problem'. It seemed simple, but soon it gets complicated.

I loved Evan. Very sure of himself, of his sexuality, of his professionalism, but all that disappears when he sees Jacob and is attracted to him. He shouldn't, he's a client. Friends, yes, but nothing more. He tries, but he can't fight his feelings.

I also loved Jacob. Serious, responsible. He knows what he is, what he wants, but he hasn't been able to meet anyone, to Connect with other man. Partly because of his work, partly because of the education he received from his parents, partly because he doesn't want just a one-night, partly because he feels ashamed of his inexperience. It's easier to hire someone to help him. But, like Evan, he didn't expect to be attracted to him. Physical attraction, yes. But he didn't think he would meet someone who called to his soul.

Their relationship is not easy. Evan has to fight himself. He can't fall in love with a client. And Jacob can't fall in love with the man he can't have. Both hurt each other, both say things to each other that they don't feel. It is easier to alienate the other than to recognize the truth.

I loved them together.

I loved Evan's family. They accept him as he is, they accept what he does.

Jacob's parents are better than I expected. They don't like to hear the truth, but they don't reject him cruelly, which is what he (and I, too) expected.

I recommend it.

I received an ARC from the author, and this is my honest review.

Rent Boy - Jacob avirgin hires a escort to make his fis time ever good at 30. But keeps him coming back even though the deed is not done. Evan we have become friends, I am helping him. I forget it's a job, I am falling hard, will he ever think of me as a man he could care for?
Shared Custody - Patton is a colorful character Lenny just doesn't get. Lenny just has a stick up his *** and needs to loosen up. When they get custody of 2 toddlers they just have to learn to get along. Good storey takes you through 2 different view on grief and how to move on.
Country Boys - second chance for these to who crushed on each other in high school both not knowing the other felt the same. 10 years later one works for the other can it happen this time.
Ace in the Hole - Oliver asks his best friend Leo to marry him to get his mother off his back. It is a funny, scandalous exciting story.
Innovative Desires - a tech story with a start up and a successful business that recognizes their codemail in the start ups proposal. Fast moving after first couple of chapters, lots of secrets and attraction.

This is a great bundle of books. I have read them all before, and now I have reread them again juts shows how good they are. For a return reread. It took me a little longer to read than I would have liked but it was so worth it to behind in some chores, lol.
The book is Rent Boy. Evan is a companion, as he likes to call it. He is recently been thinking that his career is time in the business isn't probably going to be lasting much longer. But that is just his thoughts of late, for he has been wondering about his future.
Jacob is a successful business man in publishing that has decided its time. So he finds Evan online and they arrange a meeting to see if they mesh, well together.
It is a brilliant story and so are the other four books in this bundle.
It is an absolute must have set to read asap, you won't regret it. Highly recommended.

This bundle puts together some very good stories in one convenient place. Rent Boy is a twist on the Julia Roberts movie - which is funny because neither MC has seen it. I am glad Jacob, the MC who hires Evan, sticks to type and tries to control everything. He gets better as the story goes along, less unsure and more like the executive we expect. I was drawn up short by the abrupt ending. It seems like there is just a bit more to say here. I hope there might be a sequel in the works?

The other titles in this bundle are more complete. Innovative Desires is a snappy, sexy May-Dec romance that ties in the MC'S past and future a little too simplistically, but it is an entertaining and solid read. The whole bundle has a nice variety of well-written, enjoyable stories.

This is probably my favorite bundle so far. Each of these stories on their own are so well written and such incredible stories.

Rent Boy-At 30 years old and still a virgin, Jacob hires Evan to teach him a thing or two, but when friendship turns into more, will Jacob want a paid prostitute?

Shared Custody-When two men on opposite ends of their lives get shared custody of a child, they have to figure out a way to work together to make it work.

Country Boys-A second chance love story!

Ace in the Hole-Two of my favorite tropes! Friends to lovers AND Gay for you! A must read with some poker.

Innovative Desires-A CEO hires a young man who he thinks has stolen his technology, only to find out that there are more secrets surrounding their relationship than either had planned.

Rent Boy - Jacob hires Evan to help him lose his virginity. Jacob starts to have feelings for Evan. Evan is having a hard time trying to keep his feeling for Jacob under wraps. Evan gives up the business to try to and have a relationship with Jacob. Evan takes a client one night and Jacob gets mad. They fight and split. Will they find their way back to each other.
Shared Custody - A tragedy brings Lenny and Patton together. Can these to get along long enough to raise the kids that are in their care. Hard to put down. This was a real page turner.

Entertaining Stories

There were five stories in this bundle and all had value. Only one was just a regular read, in other words, I finished it to be finished not because I was really interested. The other four had good twists and turns to the stories that never took away from the obvious HEA but added some entertainment to the storyline. Only the first story was about a rent boy and him falling for a client. The rest were mm tales but didn't involve anyone selling themselves, just questions about how the romance was going to proceed towards the HEA. All in all, I enjoyed this bundle of stories.

This collection of romances is perfect. You'll have men from every walk of life finding love in some unexpected places. You'll find yourself smiling, laughing and crying...as well as shaking your head when they pull some real boner moves; (After all, they can't all be smooth talkers...)

Luckily, HEA's abound and hearts and lives are entwined for all.

Five stories about gay male couples. I was happiest when these stories, only one of which featured a rent boy, ended up with the protagonists at least becoming engaged to be married, which happened in three of them. Very well done, J.P and Peter.
