Mechanized Warfare on a Galactic Scale

The Brick. An inhospitable planet in Finjou space. Humans settled there anyway. Now the aliens want them gone.

Captain Xi Bao. Your orders are to conduct Operation Red Rock. Evacuate the human colonists from the Brick before the Finjou find them. Collect material evidence of the Jemmin conspiracy buried more than thirty kilometers below the surface. Easy mission.

But the colonists don’t want to leave. And the Finjou don’t want the humans boring a hole in their dead planet. And everyone has nukes.

Metal Legion gets thrown into the middle of an intergalactic cesspool. Make the humans evacuate. Peacefully. Using the awe-inspiring firepower of the mechs. Make peace with the aliens, even if you have to fight them.

The Finjou aren’t amused. Predators who believe in dominance.

Weapons free! Target, fire, slew the railgun, and fire again.

Metal Legion – climb the ramp and come along for the ride. It’ll be bumpy and hot, but the sound of the 15kg mains is worth it. Read Metal Legion today.

Hellfire: Metal Legion Book 3 - a review by Rosemary Kenny

Book 3 in C.H. Gideon's fantastic military sci-fi action thriller Metal Legion series, Hellfire leads seamlessly on from Frozen Fire, with Xi Bao now a Captain in the Terran Armored Corps, aka the so-called Metal Legion.
She leads a Black Ops mission code-named Operation Red Rock - on Planet Brick, that's now been claimed by the dominant alien race the Finjou. They want the human settlers off their territory and are not afraid to defend it with all manner of alien tech. Xi Bao's mission is to exfiltrate the reluctant-to-return-to-Earth inhabitants and try to broker peace with the Finjou, before an inter-planetary war breaks out.
Can Captain Xi pull off a spectacular coup for the Metal Legion?
What is her secret 'side' mission'? How does she persuade the human settlers to leave?
Another stunning episode in the Metal Legion series by the outstanding military sci-fi writer C.H Gideon that's sure to be another 5-star winner for him - and for all his faithful army of readers!

This story just keeps getting better...

Some stories start out with lots of action, then get lost in the weeds as the author gets sidetracked dealing with esoteric issues such as societal evolution, political obfuscation, and the whole Evil Empire shtick - but not this one! Sure, there's a whole wide universe, a race of super villains, and plenty of stereotypical human political foolishness portrayed, but action and momentum are maintained cover to cover - well done! I actually ended up with goosebumps when reading the closing scene, and can't wait for number 4.

Metal Rules!

This is a great series of books. There's a downside to getting the box set tho, you don't get to see the cover art between books. Being a 50yr old that grew up in the metal age I'm loving the song references and I've actually got most on albums or cassette. LOL Also I've been playing them for effect when they come up in the books and it really elevates the whole experience. For instance when the Zero drops to to the surface of the Brick with Iron Maiden Number of the Beast and Led Zeppelin Immigrant Song blasting. Totally awesome

I want a mech of my own, you keep the jet pack.

I thought this was going to be just another military space story, I was wrong. This series is great! It is easy to follow with great characters , there are parts of this where I just want to jump and pump my fist in the air and scream hell yeah! Will be starting book number Four as soon as I finish this review. Read this series people! You will not be sorry.

Well worth the read

An excellent follow up to second book in the series. The characters are becoming more real as the story line progresses. I was going to take a break after this story, but now I HAVE to read the next installment. Great space opera if you're into that type of story. Especially fun if you're a Battletech fan.

Superb!

A true page-turner, this book has it all. Suspense, subterfuge, heroism, suspected treason and aliens turned allies. Good relationship building in the midst of military engagements and, sadly, death. Begin the series with book 1 to truly enjoy the complexity.
