Opposites attract on an overseas holiday, but trouble has hitched a ride.
While Bronco’s nightclub is closed for renovations, the owners invite the staff on a trip to Italy. Bartender Hank needs a roommate, and he’s had his eye on waiter Grant for a while, even if he’s had to keep his distance. But sharing such close proximity means sparks are sure to fly….
Grant has a problem saying no, and it’s led him into some less-than-healthy relationships. While he’s determined not to repeat his mistakes, it’s clear Hank is different.
They’re both willing to take it slow and explore the feelings building between them, but even in a foreign country, their pasts are catching up, and that could hurt more than just their budding romance.
Hank and Grant’s love story was magnificent. They are wonderful additional characters to the series. The two of them really needed each other. Both had terrible exes' that ruled and dominated their existence and together they gave one another the courage they needed to finally be free. An added bonus, as with the first four books of the series, we got to spend time with Zach and Bull and the rest of the guys while they toured Italy while the club was being repaired and remodeled after a fire. This series really should be read in order to understand how the characters came to be together. Get to know all these wonderful guys because they are nothing short of amazing.
4.5 stars I loved this story, it had everything in it: Lovable guys, a good plot, angst, emotional at times, and a satisfying end.
This is book five of the Bronco’s Boys but can easily be read as a stand-alone. It certainly made me want to read the previous ones and especially Bull and Zach’s story!
Grant broke up his unhealthy relationship but somehow it follows him everywhere. When Grant got forcefully approached at work, we see his problem, Grant can’t say no!
Bronco’s Nightclub will close for a few weeks and get renovated. The staff will go on a trip to Italy. Hank broke up his relationship and now needs a roommate for this trip. After pushed by colleagues Grant shall join them and be his roommate, even though they don’t seem to get along. Hank is always a bit short and cold toward Grant.
In Italy, Grant and Hank seems to get a bit closer, they weren’t always honest about how they really felt about the other. The trip to Italy is not the relaxed one they all thought it would be. The past of not only Grant’s but also Bull’s, is getting in the way and it gets nasty and dirty.
This was a captivating story with a good portion of angst. It was well developed and pretty entertaining. The spotlight pointed on just the important things making it not too complicated. Even though I was engrossed by the events, I would have loved some more romance, after all we are in Italy, it got put on the back burner by the storyline. The main characters were elaborated well, both had their own intriguing background. Overall, well written, well-polished story. A book from this author’s hand is always original, carefully developed and worth reading!
This was a great addition to the series and I was so happy to see a new Bronco Boys book. It was a fantastic story with all the gang going on vacation to Italy, but trouble soon follows the group. Hope to see more, thnx Mr Author :)
The wonderful thing about this installment of a series that brought together four couples comprised of four men in their early 20s with four men in their 30s is that in each case their paths to love were complicated by nefarious deeds.
In this one the MCs are closer to each other in age (mid 20s early 30s), and even though a good portion of the beginning takes place in Bronco's, the bar where they work in their hometown in Pennsylvania, their relationship doesn't develop until they are on their way to Italy for a vacation plotted by the other four couples, each of which is involved in Bronco's world.
Once they get to Italy, the book splits into three plotlines: a brilliantly described tour of Rome, Florence, and Venice; a slowly developing love story between Hank, the older bartender (on the cover) and Grant, the server; and surprise nefarious twist for these two which works its way into their private lives and reaches back in time to the previous lives of Bull and Spook, the two older men from the first two books.
What could have been a complicated plot is smoothed by Andrew Grey's keen appreciation of how to shift the focus from tour to tryst to troubles--especially when he throws in a sharp parallel between Hank and Grant's previous partners that moves their own relationship along.
I was particularly impressed that Grey gave us two characters who are for the most part not the sharpest knives in the drawer but who gain confidence and strength step-by-step on their way to what looks like a HEA.
There's another book coming in the series--I'm hooked and will be prowling to find it when it comes out.
I am so in love with this series. So in love with these guys. And as much as I love them, I do have to warn you, there could be possible triggers. There’s drugs, abuse, kidnappings, stalkings and pasts coming to the front from some of their lives as mercenaries. I also strongly recommend you read these in order. Because these books are all connected and some coincide with each other. If you read them out of order, you will be lost. Trust me. Part of why I love this series so much, is because even the big bad ex-mercenaries have a weakness of some sort that shows they really are not as cold as they are made out to be. Not as heartless. The weakness is their boyfriends, husbands, mates, whatever you want to call them. But what I love about these guys, is that as scared as these guys are for their loved ones, they often underestimate them and it bites them in the butt. Sometimes literally. Lol ;) But what impresses me even the most, is other than Bull and Spook, everyone else are normal civilians. And most of them with bad pasts that deal with abuse of some sort and more. But these guys have shown in so many ways, how strong they really are. And in the face of danger, when they feel so weak. For Hank and Grant, both have exes that were very bad for them. Hank had a issues that he got help for and in spite of being told it would, never be brought up again, his ex is hanging it over his head to try to control him. For Grant, it started out with some kink with his ex, that turned to the darker part of BDSM and into control again. And with both, things are escalating. A vacation seems like a perfect thing for all of them, as the group is heading to Italy to vacation during the bar remodel. But Bull’s past is catching up with him again, and this time it involves Grant as well. They are being stalked by someone else who is in the game Bull and Spook were and he thinks Bull has something he wants. And even if Bull did, he’d never give it up. But because of who this guy is, he’s also after Grant. He’s the cousin of Grant’s ex. And the ex told their private life in detail to this cousin and the sadistic butt wants his claim on Grant. And he’s determined to do anything he can to get his way. Including kidnapping, drugging them and more. But Grant, Bull and Spook have had enough, as well as Hank. And it’s time to turn the tables on this guy. But they need to do it before the guy gets to them first. It makes me so angry when people in the BDSM scene use the lifestyle to be a punk. They think it gives them the right to abuse people and it’s so far from the truth. The fact is actually the opposite. And because of all that has happened to Grant and to Hank as well, it’s left its mark on both of them. They have a hard time trusting and are scared to death to try something new with each other, although they’ve been circling each other for a while. And now this new psycho isn’t helping. But it’s at the moment that we feel our weakest, that sometimes we are the strongest. There are times when we have to be silent and do what needs to be done and there are times to take action. And Grant and Hank both had to learn that even though they felt weak and not helpful, they are actually quite stronger than they know. Especially Grant. He buoyed back and did what he never thought he could do. He stood up to a ruthless bully and killer and stood his ground. He showed that even though he was afraid, he would do what needed to be done to help protect himself and those he loves. Yeah, after it’s over, he may break down, but in the heat of it, he’s learning how strong he really can be. That’s what I think I love the most about this series. Even in the face of all the danger they are facing, the fears, the doubts, and everything else that they’ve endured, they still keep getting up and showing how strong they really are. They learn not to back down. They’ve learned and are learning, strength isn’t always in how physically strong you have to be, but in how you handle yourself and keep going. How in the face of adversity, you never give up and you don’t break. Even when you desperately want to and the others do all they can to dampen every fire in you. They’ve learned so much and they’ve all grown so much. And I’m so happy I’ve gotten to see these boys grow.
Hank and Grant work at Bronco’s. Hank is a bartender and Grant a server. The club is closing for a month for renovation, and the owners have a vacation in Italy planned. Hank was supposed to go there with Danny, his boyfriend, but after a bad breakup, he needs a roommate to share the bills with him. Grant is invited to go with him, to be Hank’s roommate. The thing is, Grant isn’t sure that Hank likes him, so guess he will have to discover the answer in Italy. Over and Back is book 5 on the Bronco’s Boy series by Andrew Grey.
Hank is a hunky bartender. He had a bad break up with his ex-boyfriend, Danny, who forbade him to date anyone, especially Grant. Hank is attracted to the sweet Grant and sharing a room with him for 2 weeks in Italy will be pure torture for him. I like Hank, he isn’t the stereotype of the hunky bartender, he’s more a huge teddy bear. He’s really gentle and kind with Grant. He’s more fragile than what I thought at first, and I like that about him.
Grant is a cute little twink. He’s a good man, a good server. He’s kind and sensitive. His last relationship was toxic at the end for Grant, and some trauma settled inside Grant, but he fights back and tries to find his footing in life, to be himself without fears. The opportunity to go to Italy is something that he would never have done alone, and being with Hank is the cherry on the cake. I adore Grant, he is adorable, cute and fierce. He seems to be fragile, and he is fragile, but he’s also very strong and fierce, he’s blunt, he isn’t scared to speak his mind, and I love that about him. He’s not a damsel in distress—he’s a fighter.
I adored those two guys. They’re a good match and a good fit. I adored that it was Grant, the cute twink, who protected Hank, the hunk bartender. I love when nothing is like what we see, so I loved that the author mixes their roles and appearances.
The plot and the story was very good; we follow them on their trip to Italy. It was well described, I had the feeling of being there with them actually. The writing was dynamic and fluid, and I had a good time with them.
Over and Back is book 5 in the Bronco’s Boy series, but it can be read as a standalone. I didn’t read the 4 previous books in the series (not yet), and I didn’t have difficulties in reading this one and getting attached to the characters.
Over and Back is book five in the Bronco's Boys series. Each book is about a different set of characters connected to Bull and his Friend Harry's nightclub Bronco. This book is about the bartender Hank and Grant one of the waiters. Hank and Grant eye each other but Hank seems to be ignoring Grant and short to him. Grant thinks he likes Billy which is Grant's total opposite and a trouble maker. Grant has just come out of a bad relationship and doesn't want a controlling man so he has sworn off the big buff types like Hank. That doesn't stop his attraction. Hank too has his secrets and his feelings for Grant is one of them and he can't act on his feelings for him or he could lose everything. Bronco's is closing down for a month for renovations and the group is going to Italy for two weeks vacation. Hank had tickets for him and his ex but now he is stuck with hotel reservations needing a roommate since he can't cover all the expenses himself. Zach, Bull's Boyfriend, and a cute twink tells Grant he should go that it would be fun. Grant wants to but isn't sure how he can share a room with Hank for two weeks and not show how he feels. He ends up going and Grant and Hank hit it off well as good friends. But not only Hank and Grants past catches up with them but so does Bull's and not only do they have fun in Italy but they have some danger too. I loved all of these characters and though I have read a book or two in this series I haven't read in order and it is easy enough to follow. Of course, as with any series, it would enhance the experience knowing all of the characters by reading in order. Each character has a depth to them that drew me in and I loved getting more of Bull, Zach, Spook and the others. The story was like getting a tour in Italy and I loved it. At times I felt like I was along with them. The suspense of the danger following them and trying to figure out why and how it connects Grant and Bull broke up the trip and added a layer of depth to the book so it didn't feel like just a tourist guide. There is a lot of hot sex scenes between Hank and Grant too. The ending was happy and I loved it but I felt like there were a few loose ends. If you like great characters, Bartenders, bouncers, waiters, mystery and intrigue, a beautiful setting, vacation getaways, and hot man-sex you will like this book!
Grant is a new hire at the club, which is going to be shut down for a while for renovations, so Zack and his friends invite Grant to come on the trip to Italy that they've planned. Hank, the bartender, is also going. Hank recently broke up with his boyfriend and can't afford the trip on his own, so having Grant as a roommate will help ease the cost for him. The problem is that both are attracted to each other, but also scared to get involved after each of their last relationships went bad.
I found myself disappointed in this book. I really enjoyed the earlier ones in this series and was looking forward to seeing everyone again. I felt like the romance and connection between Hank and Grant took a back seat to the drama caused by someone from Bull's past. Bull was surprisingly unsure of himself and his course of action, and he and Spook really had lost a lot of their edge as they allowed this person to continue to harass them on vacation. I also was disappointed in how the story lines with Hank's ex and Grant's ex were handled in the end. I felt like they were built up to then be left in the wake of Grant and Hank realizing that they could handle things together.
I did like watching Spook try to play matchmaker; it was amusing. I enjoyed seeing the characters from the earlier books as well. It was nice to see Grant standing up for himself more and more as the story continued, and I was pleased to see Hank choose Grant over one of his own issues. I was happy that they both took a chance on the other and opened up to each other, but I just didn't feel their connection growing with the travel and escapades with Bull's past. I also felt like the end solution to their problem could have been done much sooner once things played out.
This book was a miss for me. Other readers may enjoy it more.

I like this but I didn't love it as much as the others in the series. The Jarrod guy got on my nerves he was constantly dogging them on their vacation to Rome Italy and Venice. Nowhere did they go that he was not there he started doing this before they ever left.
Hank who is the bartender at Bronco's need someone to come with him to pay their half after his ex became his ex. Grant is one of the waiters at Bronco's and he needs a trip away as well after the things in his past with his own ex who was extremely controlling.
Everyone from previous books are there though we didn't get much Kevin and Tristan and their guys as I would have liked. It was more centered around Bull and Spook with Grant and Hank plus plenty of Zack who was extremely happy to be in Italy
I did love the information we got in this book about the places that they went. I guess I was hoping that they would have more of a relaxed trip instead of kept interrupting as much as I did but that's my issue. This was a great book and there was nothing really wrong with it it's just I could not get into the bad guy this time. Or his motives they drove me nuts constantly doing stuff ruin things. Which of course is what bad guys do. I was glad when he finally got taken away.
I was very surprised when I realized that Andrew Grey had written a fifth book in the ‘Bronco’s Boys’ series. I had assumed (bad reader!) that there would only be four books in the series, one for each of the Fab Four – Zach, Jeremy, Tristan, and Kevin. The idea of the gang overseas vacationing while the bar/club is being restored, plus seeing Hank and Grant potentially begin a relationship sounded like a ton of fun, and I couldn’t wait to jump in.
Hank and Grant are more alike than either can imagine in the beginning. Grant had a long-term D/s relationship (although it was less about submission and more about being dominated) that left him in a very bad place mentally and emotionally. He’s still trying to come to grips with what happened and learn to be happy. Grant doesn’t want that lifestyle – it was something he gravitated toward when he was young and thought he needed someone to tell him what to do to help him clarify what he wanted from life.
The boys of Bronco’s take a two week trip to Italy. A once in a lifetime trip. Bartender Hank, his recently ex has backed out and is now rooming with waiter Grant. Hank has been crushing on Grant from a distance. Things heat up as someone from Bull’s past tries to crash the vacation..... this book is full of nail biting suspense, and all the other beautiful feelings from a Grey book. Love. Laughter. Heart pounding romance and it pretty much takes place entirely in Italy. Another one I just about read in a day. I just love these boys of Bronco’s.
I was very excited anticipating Hank and Grant’s love story and I wasn’t disappointed!! They are wonderful characters in need of each other and on top of that we get to spend more time with Zach and Bull and the rest of the guys while touring Italy. You should read the first four books so you know all the characters and because they are amazing. You shouldn’t miss this.
Honestly, I was not impressed. I really liked the traveling descriptions but this entire spy business and adventures of self-appointed sleuths were so unrealistic they were ridiculous. And both exes of our romantic couple were so OTT, a had multiple eye-rolling episodes. I had higher expectations and they were not met. But that's my personal opinion.
This was an exciting read! The twinks just can’t stay out of trouble. The authors intersections of Bulls‘ past with Doug’s present made this an even more intriguing story.
It's been a while since I've read part of this series; I read books 1-4. With finishing book 5 I remember how great Andrew Grey's writing is. I have book 6 to start next and I'm looking forward to reading it.
I loved this series and was excited to see this new book. It has been 5 years since the last one so I was so happy. This book revisits the first 4 couples and introduces a new couple just meeting. It was cool that most of the story was in Italy. It was so worth the wait. Mr Grey did another awesome story. Here is hoping for more of the same.
Over and Back is book 5 in this series, but can easily be read as a standalone. I thought this was a fun and intriguing read, one that has a bit of everything. There's great chemistry, a bit of angst, sweetness and some good suspense. Oh and the scenery is incredible as well. This book is another example of why Andrew Grey is a go-to author for me.
I really liked Grant and Hank, they are both a little bit broken from previous relationships and leery about getting involved with anyone again, but this trip to Italy throws them together and their attraction to each other is undeniable. It takes some time but they start to open up to each other, getting to know the good stuff and the rough stuff too. Even with their fears, something special develops between them.
One of my favorite things in this book was the open, honest relationship that develops between Grant and Hank. I felt like they really brought out the best in each other and it was easy to see the real love that existed between them right from the start. Grant sees himself as weak and as a pushover, but Hank sees the strength in him and is quick to tell him he sees it. I think there was just the right amount of angst and stresses for this group too, it kept me reading, needing to know more but it wasn't too much. I absolutely adored the way this story came together for Hank and Grant. I really like this group and would definitely love to spend time with them!
