As soon as I saw her, I wanted her.
But I knew I couldn’t have her.

I’ve taken over as president of the Kinsmen MC.
My father started the club and now it’s left to me to keep things going.
Every inch of my life is boring and routine, until she walks into my bar.
Sweet brown eyes, wavy dark hair, kissable lips…I was done for.
If I have just one taste of her, I can let her go – at least that was the plan.

Now the club is in trouble, and it’s up to me to save them. Isabelle White starts to be the only thing keeping me together.
I just hope I can save the club, without losing her in the process.

I have been on a run of badly written books lately and this is yet another. Feels like a first time writer who hasn't polished it up yet before hitting publish. A lot of short sentences. I might come back later and try the second book to see if it got better or not.

I'm reviewing this before I've finished reading it because it's pissing me off. There are so many grammatical and spelling errors to throw off your reading. Example's: "ried" instead of "tried", and "ws" instead of "was". Come on, even spellcheck would fix those. How about this one.... first sex scene and the guy, Jaxson is trying not to come in his pants before they have sex. He says as much once, the second time he says it, it's written, the wrong word was substituted...."The sound was more than perfect. It made me throb so hard for her, I actually might have just come in my parents if I were younger and less experienced." Seriously? Talk about a mood killer and seriously wrong word choice! I like the chemistry between the two characters, but if the writing is this bad technically, then I can't continue reading the series. Even something simple as a quote missing was confusing. See below:

"Hm," Jaxson said, practically purring into the phone. Good. You can tell me about it later in bed. I can't wait to see you."

This book is credited to two authors. So all the mistakes made it past both of them. Did they not have a friend or family member to proofread it?

I'm trying to finish reading it, but all the mistakes as they pile up are just making it increasingly difficult. One star rating because I can't give it anything less. If all the mistakes were corrected, I'd give it 3 stars for the chemistry between characters. Still feels like too much plot was taken from Sons of Anarchy.

Need major proofreading/editing

While the storyline itself was good reading it was very hard. I caught myself skipping over paragraphs because there were major spelling and wording errors throughout the book making it hard to follow In some places. I also didn't like one section being from her point of view then the very next being the same part from his point of view. Granted I am not a writer but maybe starting where she finished then moving on and him telling how he felt on certain aspects of the subject. It just seemed redundant having the same storyline. That's just my opinion. I would love to hear about the other brothers finding love but I can't finish this series after skipping over several pages.

The Basic story had potential, however the editing was non existent and the book is full of spelling and grammar errors (she turned red as a beat - try beet that's the red vegetable, there is no indication she had been beaten until red), not mentioning the typos throughout.
Another let down is a complete repeat, word for word, of the conversation in the previous chapter only from either Isabelle or Jaxson's perspective depending on the chapter. I skimmed through these as it just made the book repetitive and boring.
I'm glad I got this through KU and didn't spend my hard earned cash on it. Although enjoyable enough it felt it had been bashed out and then published, not a quality read.

This is the first book in a new series from this talented duo of authors’, and what a great introduction this is. Jaxson is the new President of the MC, and has a lot of issues to deal with which were left when his father passed away, so he has no time for relationships or love. Isabelle is new in town in order to work on her masters’ degree in playwriting. When she is dragged out by her flatmate to an MC pub there is an instant attraction between her and Jaxson, which he deals with as being extremely rude to her. No spoilers; this is a must read, you will not be disappointed! This is a well written story which is filled with drama, twists, and love. I was totally intrigued and captivated throughout this addictive page turner, and I cannot wait to read more in this series.

Kinsmen MC is not a charter member of any other club. There are only two in existence. This one and one in Ireland where the original founder was from. His oldest son Simon wasn't as involved in the club as Jaxson was, so when their dad died, Jaxon became president. Not your stereotypical biker president, Jaxson had a heart, just as his father had.
Hazel Parker and J.C. Allen have given us an MC story with a heart. One that includes family, values, a conscience. The characters are strong but flawed enough they continue to grow throughout the book. The plot weaves itself seamlessly through the storyline but open enough there could be repercussions. This was an enjoyable read and a story I'd gladly follow.

This book is a good start to a new series. We start off almost at the beginning in that Jaxson's father dies and Jaxson becomes the replacement president for the Kinsmen MC. This is not an easy feat as he now has to jump in with both feet and deal with not only the new things that come in but a few past items that were not dealt with. Add to the mix the lovely Isabelle that enters Jaxson's life and puts him in a tail spin. What is he to do......what he knows and wants which he thinks will scare her off or does he try to change himself to keep her close? These characters have some spice to them and layers that we get to see as the events of the story unfold. Interesting to see what else the series has in store for this MC.

Looking forward to more of this series

Jaxson has taken over the MC after his father died but he feels like he’s in over his head. The MC has tried to stay on the good side of the law but with unexpected expenses coming due he’s afraid that may need to change. Add to that his attraction to the new girl in town, he’s being pulled in too many directions and may make decisions he’ll live to regret.

Isabelle is in town to complete her degree. When she stops to have a drink while her car is being repaired she notices Jaxson. Her roommate sets her straight as to what kind of bar she was in but they still go back for a party where Jaxson tells her to leave in no uncertain terms. Can there be a future for them?

I haven't read an MC book for a while so this made a change. It's not as rough as some MC club books are, Jaxon is rather sweet.

The story is told from both POVs and sometimes seemed to repeat things a little too much for my liking.

Isabelle is a busy woman studying playwriting. I did like her, but some of her thoughts when they had full-on sex the first time, made me spit out my tea - not exact words but 'she was so turned on she was worried to open her legs in case she dripped on the floor' lol.

The story was not the most exciting, it was more easy reading than MC but I managed to finish story.

I actually had an Audiobook and the narrator did the voices well, gave Jaxon a gruff voice that worked for me.

For Jaxson was it love at first sight? That's the only thing that could make him be so rude to someone he didn't know and that was his reaction to it. Isabelle is town to work on her Masters and was invited to the pub by her roommate she never expected to encounter Jaxson or his behavior. They meet again and this time he is apologizing for his behavior towards her. As their relationship develops, Jaxson MC finds itself in trouble and his time is spent between the MC and Isabella. Will he lose his budding relationship with her? This MC is packed with action filled drama that will keep you captivated and on the edge of your seat.

This has the makings of a wonderful new series and as always Hazel Parker has written a tight storyline that has you immersed in the world of her characters

Jaxson's live is full he has just become the new president of the Kinsmen MC taking over from his father so he is handling not only new business but also things not completed by his father. He meets Isabella at a local bar he is instantly attracted but doesn't have time so he is a typical male and behaves like a jackass when he meets her again he apologises for his behaviour Does he have time for love along with duty and when danger threatens his club what will he do

This was so boring! I say this a lot, I’ll admit - but this book makes me want to reread anything I said was boring previously and beg forgiveness.

I made it 75% and the biggest drama was some issues with taxes needing to be payed. In an MC romance book. Tax issues!

I read these books because they’re ridiculous, they live outside of the law and outside of our normal boring lives.

I have read a few reviews where people are delighted when they rate an MC book ‘safe’, so for those people that want no drama and absolutely no chance of anything interesting happening, this one is for you.

For those of us that want gritty, drama filled romance then do yourself a favour and skip this one

Overall, this was a good read. Jaxson is the president of the MC but is starting to have some issues and might lose the building the club is in. Isabella is new to the area and completing her master's degree. This is an unlikely pair but they work. The storyline itself was lacking at times. The issues with the MC losing the building was boring and didn't seem like a big issue. We heard about it but there wasn't depth to it. Despite this, I enjoyed this read.

My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read.

A good start to this new series! Jaxson is the President of the Kinsmen MC and when it becomes clear that the MC is in trouble, they start looking for ways to resolve the problem. However, Jaxson gets distracted when he sees the most beautiful woman in his bar and he starts to pursue her. Isabelle is new to town and quickly gets the attention of Jaxson. She’s not sure if she’s relationship ready especially with her studies! But Jaxson slowly wins her over😀

Thank you to Hazel for my advanced copy for which I leave my honest review.

Love this story of Jaxson and Isabelle. Jaxson is the president of the Kinsmen MC since is father past away. Isabelle is a is in college and also teaches a class. Her car breaks down one day and she goes into the club while she waits. Eyes meet. Things are going on in the club and Isabelle needs to get her play writing done. Can they stay apart or will they come together? Can Jaxson save his club or will he lose it? Can Isabelle accept a bad boy? Will Jaxon turn to criminal stuff to save the club or will he chose Isabelle? I received a free copy for my honest review.

Jaxson Kinsmen is the president of a MC with the same name as his last name. He ended up as a president because his dad passed. Isabelle is new to town moved in for Grad school. Their first meeting is at the MC when she's passing time waiting for her car to be serviced. They don't actually meet more than spy each other. They would officially meet at the club a few nights later, and Jaxon would tell her to leave because he knows she's all wrong for him. But love has other ideas.

I enjoyed this book and thought it was a very good start to this series. I liked both these characters, I thought it was easy to feel their attraction and thought their chemistry was steamy. I really enjoyed Jaxson's struggle with the intense emotions he felt for Isabelle and the turmoil he went through between what he thought was the right thing to do and what he wanted. I'm posting an honest, voluntary review.

A very well written MC romance. Nice storyline and plot. Likeable characters who develops well through the story. Nice chemistry. A story about opening up and let others in heart.
A couple that has some issues they have to deal with before they can have their HEA. Can they accept it all? Two very different characters that have an instant attraction but are afraid of acting on it.
Very captivating and engaging story that is recommendable to others.

This is book 1 in the Kinsmen MC series and it features Isabelle and Jaxson. Life is full of choices. Certain choices lead us down one road and others another. That’s really what their story is about. The steam factor is off-the-charts! Jackson is a BEAST!

The story line is good but it needs to be a little more detailed with more filler story and also needs a good proofreader. I normally wouldn’t comment on this but in this instance the grammatical/spelling errors were very distracting.

This is the first book in a new MC Series and it promises to be good. The storyline is very good, well-written, has drama, intense emotions, a love interest, conflict and a struggle to do either the right thing or what the H wants. Both characters are developed and interesting with very good chemistry and interactions. This is an engaging book and I liked it. I voluntarily read an ARC and this is my honest review.

An enjoyable well written MC romance written in dual POV.  This storyline is a smooth flowing action filled drama with twist and turns and unexpectible surprises as Jackson struggles to keep the group together without delving into illegal activities. The characters are interesting, realistic and reliable with hot steamy chemistry. I really enjoyed this solid well defined storyline as I was captivated from page after page. I voluntarily reviewed this ARC.

Boring

Reading this book was like having teeth pulled it was so bad. It was just so boring the storyline was poor the characters weak, there were mistakes throughout and so much was repeated from each of the main characters. It took a lot of effort to finish reading this but I am always determined to finish no matter what but boy do I feel like I wasted some of my time. Very poor.

They have taken the most important thing in life leaving very little options for justice to intervene. So payback is given in the only form of restitution jane thought the Savage Saints MC. But every action has a reaction or inthis case a price of redemption that the Pres.of the MC demands be paid. The question remains is it to high a price for Jane?

Serious edits needed

Ok, the idea behind this book is cute. Very little danger involved. More true of a normal romance than an MC book maybe. That being said, the book needs edited. Badly. And also, don’t call it an epilogue if it is just two pages of clearing up the mess you made at the very end. It’s like the author just wanted to be done and took the easy way out. What needed at least another couple of chapters was put into two pages as an epilogue.

Jaxon becomes prez on his father's mc club once he dies, but running it has its issues, living in the shadow of his father's ghost. Isabelle moves to town for school, their paths cross as they start on the wrong foot. But the attraction between them has a stronger pull. The love pulls them together finally pushed them apart. Great story, enjoyed the plot.

Not as good as it could've been

I expected this book to be better. The story line was good and the characters were well developed but the point of view was totally unnecessary and not handled well. I also thought the time jumps weren't necessary. Hopefully the series gets better.

An MC President & A Playwright

Jaxson is drawn to Isabelle the minute he sees her, he needs to protect her so he tells her to not come back to his bar, that it's too dangerous.
She can't believe how rude and arrogant he is but also so deliciously hot.
His MC club is in trouble. Will he choose Isabelle or choose his club?

I really enjoyed this book. Jaxson spotted Isabella across his bar and wanted her right away. But he thought she was to sweet and innocent for a man like him. Things heat up between the two of them. Then trouble with the club presents itself. These two together sizzle. I think I am going to enjoy the rest of the brothers finding their old ladies.

Could not even finish. So many typos I lost count. Storyline was blah. What kind of MC was this? This is like definitely "mc light" as I call it but also one of the few I just couldn't bring myself to finish. I think the last typo of "coming in my parents" kinda put it over the top. Guessing author meant pants? We can hope.
