Bu kitap tamamıyla, gezegenimizde yolunda gitmeyen şeyler, bu şeyler konusunda yapılması gerekenler ve senin bu konuda nasıl yardımcı olabileceğin hakkında.
Susan Meredith grew up in Yorkshire, and when she wasn't playing out or dancing, she was busy reading or making little books of her own, mainly about ballet. She's now written more than 20 real books for Usborne, on subjects ranging from saving the planet to playing football, from world religions to the human body. Her book Growing Up won the Times Educational Supplement's senior information book of the year award but her own personal favourite has to be Hamsters.
This colorful and fun illustrated book provides information about taking care of the planet. It explains the concepts of saving energy and "going green," recycling, pollution and conserving water, the benefits of growing and eating organically, and protecting the wildlife and environment.
The way in which the text and information is structured is unique and effective. each section starts out by asking a question and is then followed by the answer. I think this is useful because it gets the kids interested and curous before they read about the facts. It is also helpful that after ever section, the book provides practical suggestions for applying the information they have learned so that hopefully they will start to think about the environment and make and effort to help.
