As the only female member of King Security International’s field team, Eden of Clan Dagaz has always been treated like ‘one of the guys’. Secretly, Eden reads romance novels to escape to a ‘Happily Ever After’ that she’s convinced will never happen for her. Assigned to guard a comatose patient, Eden finds her predictable future changing in ways she never expected as the patient becomes the most important person in her life.
Kellan Huntley is a money guy, but he doesn’t work for just anyone. As one of the only humans working on Clan Odal’s accounts, Kellan has made them millions of dollars—the only problem, 15 million has gone missing from the Clan accounts and Kellan is in no position to defend himself.
Despite the evidence being stacked against him, Eden is convinced that Kellan is innocent. She’ll do everything in her power to protect him from the Clan he serves and see that justice is done. But there’s something larger, and much more dangerous, lurking in the shadows that could tear the Kindred world apart.
Kellan’s survival, and Eden’s future, depends on discovering exactly who is behind this attack on a powerful Clan, and what it could mean for humans and Kindred alike.
Moxie North loves shifters. Really, she does. A lot. Big burly men mixed with fierce protective animals makes for hunky alpha shifters that will move heaven and earth for their mates.
Her heroines come in all shapes, sizes, personalities and backgrounds. They’re looking for love but want their men to win them over. Together they find their soul mate on their journey to true love.
Moxie lives surrounded by trees, wildlife, and the occasional lumberjack. She loves sci-fi, sugar in any form, and speaking only in movie quotes. Moxie went from an avid reader to a writer and loves being in the romance community. Meeting readers and talking books keeps her writing and loving her job.
What we’ve seen of Eden so far proves she’s definitely a kick butt and take names person. She’s one of the best at what she does, even when her strong personality and sense of what’s right gets her removed, at least temporarily, from her bodyguarding of pop star, Bliss. Call it luck or call it fate, but her next assignment, which is to guard a suspected thief who is currently in a coma will bring her face to face with her destiny. And then she’ll get around to that kicking butts and taking names part.
Eden and Kellan fit together. He’s a bit unbalanced, emotionally and in the pride department, by being told he’s Eden’s mate. As a human… and as a guy… he’s programmed to believe that he’s the protector, the provider – and right now he’s in a heap of trouble with only his mate and her agency on his side. He knows he couldn’t have, would never have stolen from the Clan — but all evidence points to him on the surface. “Unexpected Bride” provides an intriguing mystery to solve, and a chance to see Eden fall, to see her softer side as she hears her mating call. I would say that this is a pivotal story in the series for there are threads woven here that appear to move on to the rest of the series. We get answers… but also so many more questions in Eden and Kellan’s romance that will be dealt with as the series moves along.
I liked the reality of the various decisions that Eden and Kellan now have to make. Just because the mating call sounded that doesn’t mean that the realities of life, work, and where to live just magically are solved. And we once again get to visit Cora’s closet with a new member of that exclusive club. I had a great time stepping back into this world again, and I’m definitely on the lookout for the next in this series to release.

Eden's co-workers may see her as one of the guys, able to handle anything they can, but she's not. However, being the only woman at her job calls for a certain type of strength, a facade in some ways, and she keeps parts of herself hidden - the one that enjoys romance novels, that wishes for a mate though believes the path isn't meant for her. When her current long-term assignment, guarding famous singer, Bliss, is put on hiatus, she's given another, that of watching over a man accused of stealing from a wolf clan. The catch? He's not only in a coma, he's her mate. Eden knows he's innocent, but she needs to prove it, after ensuring he's safe.
Kellan knows money, and that skill landed him a job with his best friend, Beau's, clan. The members have become his own little family and he's very good at what he does, until he isn't when he's accused of stealing quite a large sum from their accounts. He didn't, though he has no way of proving it. What he does know is he hadn't felt himself for a few weeks and it seems the actual thief is behind that too. When he wakes up and sees Eden, he wants nothing more than to get to know her, unfortunately, he might be facing jail time for something he didn't do, that is, if he survives.
As Eden and her co-workers try to prove Kellan's innocence while keeping him safe, the two of them must navigate the new path their lives have taken while doing everything they can to keep Kellan free from life behind bars.
Who was behind the theft and almost killing Kellan? Can King Security International prove Kellan was set up? What happens after they do? Kellan and Eden live in two different states, have ties to two different clans, so who will uproot everything to be with their mate?
One-click now and follow along as two people are brought together by dangerous circumstances and find the one person meant to be theirs.
**I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.**
Eden, a bear-shifter, worked for King Security as an agent. Her current long term assignment is with a young rock star. She's become friends with the young woman and isn't fond of her management team, her mother. After she expressed her opinion of a promotion stunt she was asked to be replaced. King moved her to another less volatile situation. The human she was assigned to protect was in a coma. How much trouble could she get into?
Kellan has worked for the Bear clan for a long time. He's a good friend with the clan leaders son. He's accused of betraying them. Eden has a sudden feeling that not only is he innocent there is something about him she refuses to accept. She's never felt this way about a human. With the support of the leader's son and the instincts she's always relied on, Eden may find the truth and possibly save the lives of important people.
I really like all the characters and as always with the author enjoy the intrigue and suspense along with the romance. Don't worry if you haven't read the first two books in the series. Each book stands alone. Of course, you will probably want to read more and go back to those stories before the next one comes out.
Have to say I loved the story but finished it thinking it wasn’t quite what I wanted. Will have to see where we are going in the rest of the series. Have a few ideas but???? Kellen was lovely but I felt his loyalty to Clan Odal was blinkered. At the beginning I thought the story was about Bliss the spineless. Thank goodness it wasn’t as I would have put it down. Eden, what to say. We kept getting told she had a softer side but it never really came through, apart from the fact she is turning her whole life upside down and around so Kellan can stay working for Clan Odal. I felt we are going off into territory that has been done to death. Anti shifter, in this case kindred, humans, out to eradicate all who are not PURE human. Don’t get me wrong, the story is intriguing enough that I will be reading the rest of this series but I think I just wanted something more. Think the fact that Kellan stayed with Clan Odal even though their leader showed NO support for him at all, until right at the end and only then as his daughter is now affected. Loved how the background characters kept revolving around in this book too. This is my honest review of this book.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. This is Eden and Kellan’s story. It was a bit slow for me in the beginning, outside of the Crone’s scenes. Those always crack me up. While the guys may view Eden as “one of the guys” her entire story pretty much reads like a girly girl. I was so used to her kind of being referred to as not quite girly that there were parts that made her seem too soft even though we know that she’s a bada**. Kellan on the other hand, is a human who has deep ties to a powerful wolf clan. He starts out a bit insecure but quickly comes into his own and knows that he’s not weak by any stretch of the imagination despite a lack of teeth or claws. He’s smart and he’s good at his job even if circumstances have him questioning himself. By the time their story really started picking up, it was over and ended in a bit of a cliffhanger. I won’t complain though cuz Moxie North’s stories usually leave you breathless and wanting for more, so I know that when we pick up in the next story that she won’t disappoint.
Moxie North romances us with her third full length novel in her 7 Brides for 7 Bears series, Unexpected Bride.
Following her novella, we get to meet Eden, who truly is NOT expecting to have a mate. She is an independent hard working bear who needs to be part of the action protecting others.
When Kellen becomes part of her protection detail, her world is turned upside down. There are such sweet moments in this mystery, along with the physical needs of a mated pair, that Moxie North allows us to enter and become part of the precious experience, Loving Moxie’s words,,,and can’t wait fir more 7B7B <3
This is the third 7B7B novel & they just keep getting better. You definitely want to read them in order, because in addition to shiftastic romance, the series offers up an intriguing underlying plot that affects the entire Kindred universe, where this series "lives". Another bonus in Moxie's tales are the moments of intimacy & humor that season each of the stories; this one is no exception. The characters are engaging, with "identifiable personalities", which is a hallmark of a good writer & great storyteller.
Kellen is human and a bean counter. He was found slumped in his desk, in a coma, and poisoned. Somebody is trying to kill him. Will Eden try to tell him she is her mate?
The characters are sexy, feisty, and unique. The fast paced drama is quite puzzling. Sent this is a continuous line of books, I don't really mind the mystery at the and of this book, I can hardly wait for the next book. I love a good mystery. Highly recommended.
I honestly wasn't sure if I would like the main female character being the Kindred and the male being human but it so worked and I am so loved this book.
It was amazing seeing Eden show more of her softer side. And her mate Kellen was her match in all ways.
Now I'm hoping Harlow the wolf kindred is next and she gets her HEA.
What a fantastic continuation to the series. Although this is the third book in this series it can be read as a standalone. It has plenty of action, suspense, intrigue, and of course steamy romance to keep you hooked from beginning to end so looking forward to seeing what else is in store for this series. I voluntarily read and review this ARC no monetary compensation was received the opinions I have expressed are my own.
I love reading stories where bada** women goes all soft and gooey for the man she falls in love with. And Eden's story certainly doesn't disappoint in that department. I love that she stayed true to herself after she found her mate. His personality really complemented hers too. Looking forward to the next book in this series.
I’m absolutely loving this series! The suspense and mystery while at the same time having romance and love is just balanced so well. Makes me wish the rest of the series was ready so I can just binge all the books one after the other. I didn’t want to put this book down just as I didn’t want to with the first two.
This series just keeps on entertaining us! I love the Loyalty, strength, integrity, and intelligence portrayed by the characters, but I really enjoy the inputs of the crones...they are a hoot, as well as being bad-a**!
I found this story very interesting and well written and your use of your characters well done in a pleasing way, that kept me interested and looking forward to reading more of this series!
When KSI Security is hired to guard a human comatose patient, the first question is why? When the clan leader says he stole millions of dollars, the next question is, then why is he comatose?
I love the Kindred romances. I wish they had found out who was behind the theft of the money and who tried to kill Kellan and Harlowe. I really think Harlowe and Zion are meant to be.
Moxie has once again released a page turner. It’s like she bewitches the words on the page to make you read until there’s nothing left! The book was amazing and I can’t wait for the rest of the series. ❤️
Eden gets her chance to shine in this great book!. A human man named Kellan of Clan Odal, is being blamed for something and her and Zion are sent to guard him. What they discover about the incident has many Kindred questioning what the anti-kindred are up to and why.
I can't say enough about this story it makes you want to read them all. There is drama and suspense along with sizzling passion, I really enjoy a strong heroine who is absolutely amazing and heartwarming. I'm excited to read the other stories in this series.
Moxie has done it again. She continues to follow the KSI team. This time Eden, the team's only female, finds her mate. Eden is strong, independent, and capable. She deserves this love. You deserve to lose yourself in Moxie's stories.
I actually liked this one the best in the series so far. It feels like a story line bigger than the stand alone’s is being set up. It was significantly shorter than the previous books and it felt noticeable.
Well written story and well developed characters! Who's the real enemy? I was totally engrossed in this book from the beginning! Oh, I hope King gets his own book, too!
Oh my.... they just keep getting better!! Oh Eden you go girl get your man!! Kellan is yummy! Love the KSI family! And umm can I visit cora's closet too??
