Note: This is a collection of short stories including a Valentine's Day story that falls between A Merry Little Murder and Murder Among the Roses.
Welcome to a very flapper Valentine’s Day!
Are you ready for the roaring twenties? For spunky young women crafting their own lives? If so, you’ll love Violet, Julia, Abigail, Evelyn, and Rosemary.
Inside, you’ll find four short Valentine’s day adventures, 1920s style including roses, chocolates, kisses, and cocktails. With stories from The Violet Carlyle Mysteries, the Piccadilly Ladies Club Mysteries, the Abigail Dutcher Mysteries, the Jazz & Gin Cozy Mysteries, and The Lillywhite Mysteries.
For fans of Carola Dunn, Jacqueline Winspear, Georgette Heyer, and Lee Strauss. A light, cozy mystery with a fun peek into a Valentine’s celebration of a bright young thing.
I’m not usually a fan of short stories, but I’m in the middle of a bit of a cozy/1920s reading jag, and thought I’d give it a whirl. I was pleasantly surprised. Interesting stories that don’t need the series’ knowledge to make sense. I’ve gone on a bought a couple of the series and I’m looking forward to Carolyn L. Dean’s “Jazz and Gin Cozy Mysteries”.
One horrible, typo riddled short story ruins this collection
Pamela Welsh's "Mercy or Murder" is riddled with typos and grammatical errors, besides being an unresolved mystery. I started taking screenshots of the errors so I could list them, but it got tiresome after a while.
The other stories were good, though if saccharine stories aren't o your taste, thre proposal featured in the Piccadilly Ladies Club Mystery short story may be too much.
I am thinking of checking out Emily Queen's new series when it comes out in April. Interesting introduction of her main characters.
O loved these stories, the characters are really well written and enjoyable to read , I would recommend these books to anyone who enjoys cozy mysteries.
This is a nice little collection of short stories. A couple of the stories are similar in cast of characters, but the stories are all different. I enjoyed them all.
