The Fontaines #0.5

The Secret to Seduction

Rate this book
Felicia Liddle has eight days to seduce Hollywood bad boy Luca Fontaine.

If she wants to keep her dream job, she needs to score an interview with the infamous actor—or with one of his equally legendary (and ridiculously sexy) brothers, the notorious Fontaine boys of Hollywood. And everyone knows that the Fontaines never give interviews—but everyone also knows that neither Luca nor any of his brothers can resist a charming woman, and Felicia’s sure that’s her way in.

The only problem? Historically speaking, Felicia’s way more likely to put her foot in her mouth (or generally make an idiot of herself) than charm the pants off of anyone.

Enter Roman Everet: media mogul (read: billionaire), insanely sexy, and—oh yeah—Felicia’s new boss. He might hold the fate of her job in his hands, but he’s more than willing to help her become an expert in seduction…

HOLY HOTNESS!!!!! The men in this book are delicious, and completely swoon worthy. As always Ember has come up with another fun and sexy read. Her stories always keep me captivated, and I fly through the pages. She has made me fall in love with the Cunningham's and now the Fontaine's. But I can't forget Roman either! I will introduce you to him in a moment.

Felicia is a woman on a mission. She has finally gotten her dream job, but it soon could be taken away in a blink of an eye. So, her only option is to seduce a Fontaine brother. The only thing is she's a nervous little thing that gets you get tongue tied whenever she meets hot men. She is super smart at what she does, and she is trying to find her way in life. I definitely laughed throughout the book, and I love her!!!

Now for Roman!!!! HELLO hot billionaire that is confident, sexy, knows what he wants and isn't afraid to take it! But, he also happens to be Felicia's new boss, that holds her fait in his hands. He wants her to get an interview with the notorious Luca Fontaine. So the boss has to now become the teacher. I'll tell you ladies to get ready to learn the art of anticipation. I just want him to throw me against the wall, and growl in my ear!!!

This story has some laugh out loud funny moments and an interesting plot. I liked Felicia very much, she was insecure, clumsy and sincere, things I can relate to in a character. Roman on the other hand was blah, by the end of the book I still felt I didn't know him or what he was about. All I do know about Roman is he is good looking, has green eyes, lives in a great house and runs a magazine. I don't even know what color his hair is, he's a mystery. The story started off strong, and then it just meandered off. The chemistry between Felicia and Roman just wasn't there for me. I really didn't understand what Roman was doing or why he was attracted to Felicia. And what I thought was an interesting plot became tedious and just didn't work in this story. There was some drama towards the end of the book, but it just wasn't enough to make this story good for me. It was an ok book, not terrible, but not great either. I love Ember Casey, she is a great writer, but for some reason this story just didn't resonate with me.

Not bad

Character development - mediocre. Story line - predictable. Chemistry between main characters - kind of present.
It was an Ok idea. Definitely done before but it was a somewhat funny and light read. Not enough to interest me in reading more of the series though.

"Seduction ... It's manipulation in its finest form".
Felicia's new boss, hot billionaire Roman Everett, knows exactly how to manipulate a situation to his advantage.
He has just purchased "Celebrity Sparks" the gossip magazine Felicia works for. In order to keep her job she needs to secure an interview with one of the Fontaine brother's, Hollywood royalty and notoriously interview shy. How does a clumsy, insecure but smart girl achieve this? Roman helpfully offers to guide her through seduction 101, and, of, course, he has an ulterior motive. He would like Felicia to see herself as he sees her and reach her true potential.

Several cringe worthy lessons follow, various miscues between Roman and Felicia, and, of course, our heroine doubts her own appeal and misconstrues various things Roman says and does. Eventually, a couple of HOT encounters and a happy ending for Roman and Felicia.

Very enjoyable book, somewhat predictable plot but I enjoyed the characters in the book. A promising beginning to a new series

5 Stars!!!

I was given this book to read in turn for an honest review!!!

Felicia never expected her billionaire boss Roman Everet to be so willing to help her seduce one of the Fontaine brothers for an exclusive interview. Is there more behind Romans actions? Are the feelings Felicia has for Roman reciprocated?

Ember Casey hits us with another brilliant HOT romantic comedy. Everet and the Fontaine brothers are every woman’s wet dream. Everet knows the secret to seduction and holy cow does he get you all hot and bothered, one scene left me needing a moment of my own! Ember Casey writes in a way you can feel and live the moment right along with the characters. I can’t wait to read more about the Fontaine brothers.

If you have loved Ember Casey’s His Wicked Games and Her Wicked Heart series without a doubt you will love The Secret to Seduction, if you haven’t and love a HOT romantic comedy you will absolutely love this book!

I was thrilled to have a chance to read another one of Ember Casey's hot romance stories. As with the Cunninghams, she has made me fall in love with the sexy Roman Everet. I look forward to following his love affair with Felicia.

A really good read

Wow just wow I absolutely loved this book as I can relate to Felicia in a way ( the part about being Terrible at flirting not the Hot Boss or magazine job lmao).. this story really intrigued me from start to finish and how Felicia who doesn't want to lose her job will so anything to keep it, even the impossible... So with the help of her incredibly hot and sexy Boss *Roman* she is able to learn a few tricks of the trade to entice The deviously handsome Fontaine Brothers in the hopes of getting an Interview so as to safe her job.

But as their "Lessons" progress Felicia starts to feel more for Roman than something Purley professional and as the sparks fly so does her attitude making her more confident and bold to take ahold of what she wants even with a close call in a Public Bathroom. 😉

A great book and I can't wait to read more about the Fontaine brothers and the women who drive them to distraction This had a little bit of everything and can help a person relate to the main character, a good paced read.

Now this is a very enjoyable sexy read! Read in one sitting, and definitely deserving of 5 stars!

The Secret To Seduction introduces us to members of the Fontaine family, but concentrates on the relationship between Roman Everet and Felicia Liddle.

Roman is Felicia’s new boss. In order to keep her job at the magazine publication he’s just taken over, she's got to secure an interview with the man of the moment – the one and only bad boy Hollywood actor, Luca Fontaine. The trouble is he never gives interviews, like ever!

Felicia comes up with an idea of how to bag the interview – by using seduction – but things are easier said than done, and she's offered help from a very unexpected source!

Loved this!

The Secret to Seduction is the first in the Fontaine series. The Sweet Taste of Sin and The Lies Between the Lines are also available.

Ridiculous

Very slow moving! Clearly Felicia is lacking in self esteem and grossly clutsy. The author would have us believe that her boss, Roman, will teach her the art of seduction so she can get her desired interview with the Fontaine celebs. Obviously Roman has his own agenda. The idea that Roman pays for some fancy gown, make up and hair for Felicia at big hullabaloo only to be standing among a zillion photogs behind a fence all yelling out to celebs was grossly over done. Roman thinks sex is the answer to override Felicia's lack of self esteem for his own self serving needs. This whole story is ludicrous.
It took reaching 49% of the book before any kind of weak story begins. Yes! I was desperate to find something to read.
Had potential, it just didn't happen.

The book I’m reading is called “The secret to seduction” the Fontaine series by Ember Casey. This is a prequel introduction to the Fontaine family where the brothers are famous actors and Felicia has to seduce one of them, Luca Fontaine. If she wants to keep her dream job, then to prove, her boss Roman that she can do the job. I love the relationship between Roman Everet and Felicia Liddle. It was just cute and so funny to read, yes it is a slow burn, and I was expecting for more spicy and actions instead of her being the narrative, the story. I loved how Roman was teaching her while he was really seducing without her realising it. As a result, did she get her interview with Luca or did Roman make her forget an interview with one of the brothers? You can decide.

Sweet and humorous office romance.

In spite of the cover this is an office romance. The CEO of a celebrity magazine teaches one of his journalists the art of seduction, in order to obtain an interview with a famous playboy actor. The ensuing romance is inevitable, slow and sweet romance, with a few steamy scenes. Some humorous situations with the insecure Felicia and her teasing boss. A fun and enjoyable romantic novel set in Los Angeles. Well written and edited, as all of Ms Casey's novels.

You know, I don't require actual strict realism from books because that would be boring, but a book set in real life should maybe seem like actual human beings may speak and behave in the ways the characters do. I'm just saying. I'm just saying this book was bad, mostly, is what I'm saying.

Edit: Skimming through the reviews here after reading it, my faith in the "I was given a copy in exchange for my HONEST review" system is once again destroyed. Y'all. I understand you want to keep the free book train rolling, but you're spewing some straight up BS and you know it.

Felicia will do anything to keep her job. Even trying to seduce one of the Fontaines Brothers. Only problem: she can't flirt. At all.

What seemed as a good enough plot turned out as an okay read. Not more, not less. Some parts of the book I really enjoyed. Some dragged on and on and then I made the mistake of picking up another book. So this has been kind of on the backburner for a while. But now that I finished I might even pick up the second one. ;)

A Sexy Romance. The author Ember Casey did a wonderful job in telling a story about teaching the Art of Seduction. It reminded a little of the Movie Pretty Woman only with Roman Everet teaching Felicia a women who has a low Self esteem and teach her to believe in herself and how to seduce men. How to believe in herself. An unforgettable love story of how a rich man can fall in love with an ordinary reporter.

Interesting premise. Not sure how she has gotten so far in her career before…. But now she needs to learn how to cozy up to male celebrities to get interviews. It was kinda fun that he could see so much in her that she couldn’t see in herself. A nice twist near the end. The sex was very nicely handled to heat you up… but tantalizing vs a biology lesson. This is first in a series named for a secondary character family.

Felicia is out at a bar trying to pick up men but failing miserably. This was so awkward and embarrassing that I really couldn't get into it. I need my heroines to have a tad more self respect...or more of a sense of humor.

I liked the characters, there were some very funny scenes, and there were several exceptionally sexy scenes (and just when I was getting very bored with the endless "routine" sex descriptions in most of the mainstream romance novels I've recently read).

Predictable, lots about the act of seduction, not what I thought this book was truly about when I got it.
