The Queen V: Everything You Need to Know About Sex, Intimacy, and Down There Health Care

Rate this book
In The Queen V , the beloved OB-GYN, celebrity doctor, and star of Bravo's Married to Medicine reveals the twelve principles behind a happy and healthy vagina…and other lady parts.

After twenty years of private obstetrics and gynecological practice, there’s nothing Dr. Jackie Walters hasn’t seen. And now, in her new book, the widely-adored OB-GYN invites you to put your feet in the stirrups and investigate. Whether she’s covering libido, contraceptives, labiaplasty, or fertility, Dr. Jackie educates readers with her characteristic grace and pragmatism. Both funny and informative, she brings you on a quest through the female reproductive system―answering all the burning (and itching, and smelling…) questions you’ve always been afraid to ask.

Dr. Jackie knows that every woman is different, and she’s designed a reading experience that’s tailor-made for each individual. After taking a fun quiz to uncover your own vaginal personality (V.P.), you'll embark upon an eye-opening journey of self-discovery. Are you a Mary Jane, a Sanctified Snatch, or a Notorious V.A.G.? What’s the shape of your vaginal flower―rosebud, tulip, or carnation? Dr. Jackie reveals the answer and doles out advice so personal you’ll feel like you’re in the office talking to her.

For every time you've been draped in a paper gown and too embarrassed to ask that question, Dr. Jackie has you covered. Her book is a woman's guide to self-awareness that will educate, entertain, and empower others to achieve vaginal liberation. It's a must-read for anyone who owns (or loves) a vagina.

I loved the way Dr. Jackie wrote this book like she is talking to a close friend. There wasn’t any area in the book where I felt uncomfortable or cringy or felt like it was too much to take in. Truthfully, I caught myself laughing out loud or talking to the book like we were really having a conversation because of the dialect. Read full review here...

OOOOHHHHH MMMMMYYYYYYYYYY GOOOOOOOOOD!!! Dr. Jackie has done it again! I want her to be my doctor, like REALLY! You know how you hate going to the doctor, well i don't think that i would have that problem here. i love that this book is all inclusive and isn't picking on ANYBODY! There is so much jam packed into this book that i will surely crack it open once more and have my daughter read it someday. I feel well informed and just ready to explore further into the topic... i will call 2020 the year of ME. Thanks so much Dr. Jackie, you are truly a blessing and an inspiration. Please don't ever stop being you or doing what you do! Please take the quiz to see what your V personality is... I'm two meshed into one but that's for me to know and for my boo to explore to the fullest!👅🙃🙋🏽‍♀️

Its a tops for sure you all!!! 💚💚💚

I'm not sure what prompted me to pick up this book, but I must say that it was an interesting look into the Queen V, the good, the bad and the embarrassing.

Dr.Jackie takes us on a journey not only of our Queen V's but our own health as women. From sex, birth control and everything in between she takes an in-depth look into feminine health and answers all the questions that linger in the back of our minds.

I did this one on audiobook which Dr.Jackie, herself read. I'm not sure if I would have gotten through the entire book if it wasn't on audio because at times it lagged a bit and was a little repetitive. But in the beginning, she warns that you can use the book as reference and I think that is good advice. If you're wondering about a certain thing you can read that section.

The interesting part was her quiz that highlighted what king of Queen V you are. In any case, this book is a refreshing and open conversation about one of the world's greatest gifts.

This is a no nonsense, real talk book about your vagina. The problems it may have, treatments, when to see a health care provider, etc. When you go to the OB/GYN always be prepared. It felt like this book was written by someone who genuinely cared about my personal health. It gives lots of advice, a few tips (what you should ask at your annual appt.). This is definitely a book I wish I had in my early twenties. Dr. Jackie Walters talks about EVERYTHING, infertility, STIs, weird smells, self breast exams, etc. Dr. Walters also talks about her issues with infertility.

The only con I have for this book is the fact the Dr. Jackie Walters is an M.D. and this book has her list as just Jackie Walters and not Dr. Jackie Walters. It makes a difference getting the advice from someone who studied this and has decades of experience as oppose to someone who doesn’t have a medical background.

READ THIS BOOK!! Any one with female parts needs to read this. Dr. Walters talks about everything we need to know about dealing with pregnancy, periods, vaginas, birth control, sex, surgery, and everything in between. As a 21 year-old, this book opened my eyes to several issues that could come up and go undiagnosed because of not knowing about it. Dr. Walters is the best friend who will call you out on your BS but love you anyways! She uses funny experiences with patients while keeping everyone completely anonymous by using VPs (Vaginal Personalities) to speak about specific situations she’s encountered. Who knew I could get completely HOOKED on reading a book about vaginal health! Finished in a week, and I loved every bit of it! PLEASE READ IT! Take what you learn from the book and use it to live a better life!

Vagina, vagina, vagina. If you're curious about vagina-related health, this book is for you! She has a sense of humor about it as well; I learned a lot. Also inclusive, a big plus.

The Queen V: Everything You Need to Know About Sex, Intimacy, and Down There Health Care by Jackie Walters is a comprehensive and informative book that provides valuable insights for readers of all ages. I appreciated how the author introduced the concept of different “vagina personalities,” as it helped contextualize the advice and made the information more accessible by framing it from various perspectives. This approach ensures that readers with different concerns or interests can find relevant and engaging takeaways. The book is also highly educational, and I liked that it was written by an OB-GYN, which adds credibility to the information presented. The inclusion of patient stories further enriches the book, making the topics more relatable and grounded in real-life experiences.

What a wakeup call to have a better relationship with my GYN. The in-depth information with examples from a variety of women made it relatable. It was a vivid read without many images to view, but I could imagine what Dr. Walters referred to. She covered all the topics any woman wants to know more about with light humor, positive affirmations, and bringing specialists to give more details on a certain topic (if not all topics). This is the type of book I would share with my daughter (when I have a child). It did make me uncomfortable (mainly the STIs), but one of the mantras Dr. Walters used is “to get comfortable being uncomfortable”.

Required reading for ALL women!

This book is truly a treasure trove of vital information. Dr. Jackie talks about EVERYTHING...and debunks all the myths and legends around our most prized possession, our vagina. It's also an important reminder, or eye-opener, that we need to have open dialogue with our doctors and our daughters (and sons!) about our bodies! Thank you Dr. Jackie!!!!

PG-13

I expected to learn more from this book than slang names for body parts and sex acts. Also, I think it is strange for a female doctor, or any medical doctor for that matter, to say that not all women have 2 X chromosomes. I understand that not all those born female identify as women, but still need the professional expertise of a gynecologist.
