This is an easy book to follow and has some interesting parts however the first half of the book was a little boring. There is meaning within this book to appreciate the little things and what you have.
The characters are likeable and brought to life within the story.I received a copy of this book through the BOOK GENIE REVIEW PROGRAM

What an awesome read! Title is apt for the book. I am impressed by author's writing style. I loved the characters of the book. The book was little slow in beginning and I got bored. But as the book progressed, I was engrossed in the book totally. Language is easy. The plot is fast and I completed the book in one sitting. I enjoyed the book completely. I love the book and I appreciate author's skills. And the book comes with a message about how we should appreciate the small little things in our daily life.

Beyond A Mysterious Journey(2019) (#book1 : Spirits of Time)

What an awesome adventurous read!
Kudos to the author for such a huge improvement in both content and character presentation in her third book👍
The story builds up from the first page itself.
I was never bored while reading this whole book (which happens rarely).
The first part of the book deals with the couple, Nandini and Neelkand, deciding to take a break from their monotonous life of working all day long most of the time.
And whoa! What a change it brought to their lives.
Wait!
This is not even the start of the story.
Nandini has been followed by some unknown mysterious characters since the very beginning.
She happens to lose touch with reality now and then, gets carried away by fog and she keeps on hearing some mysterious whispers calling her out of nowhere.
Both Nandini and Neelkand tried their best to ignore such harmless warnings...
And then comes the second part of the book where the mystery starts unfolding by itself.
The real story goes back in history where there was a heartbreaking love tragedy between a beautiful bartender,Lillishya Alexandria, and one of the country's army, Georgo Angoloeise; the rule of the tyrant, Emperor Valentenus; the mysterious murder of the emperor; and the stories behind the two haunting spirits, Freddy and Athreya.
These spirits are going to control the lives of Nandini and Neelkand in the later half of the book.
One is the protector, the other the evil.
Why was Nandini's life in danger?
What were the roles of both the spirits during the time of the rule of Emperor Valentenus?
What are they still doing playing with the lives of the innocent?
What was the ultimate key they were looking for all these years?
Well, I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book.
I mean I read the first book written by the author...and now I am left speechless!
Well, some parts still need improvement to get the desired effect (the humour parts & the action scenes) yet I am happy with the whole package overall👍
The chemistry between the characters were palpable, serene and relatable.
The fantasy elements was the surprising part for me.
However, I am really touched with the character build up... H9w the characters change with each evolving scene.
Every chapter was getting close to my heart.
At first I was a bit critical about Neelkand. Btw the author nailed how his character evolves until the end of the book.
Nandini's views were clear cut and well written regarding life, basic human nature and habits; about one's beliefs; how we women make the basic sacrifices and compromises (without stating it separately as she does so in the book); how we human are as a whole; how dreams work with determination; on one's work and reflections on life and career.
I really love how the couple was portrayed from the very beginning.
👍What made the book work for me was its solid start!
👍I love how this book puts emphasis on taking a break without thinking much as in reality most of us are forgetting how to live and get caught up with our everyday mundane lives.
This book is nothing but showing the appreciation of being us ourselves and appreciation of who we are with.
It's about fighting our own devils and unknown fears.
I totally loved both the evil and the good spirits.
One of the most unforgettable reads for me👍

Phewww! Finally I'm happy with reading a fantasy book after long time. The book is "Beyond a mysterious journey" which is a story of a coupe named Nandini and Neelkand. They both decides to go on a vacation tour to Georgia. But unfortunately there takes a series of supernatural events which trouble the couple in their vacation in a castle. And in order to come out of such miserable game Neelkand follows some steps so as to end this game. What are these kind of supernatural amd strange things that happen to them? Will be Nandini be saved?
The title of the book is okay. But I loved the attractive cover of the book. The starting of the book was not that interesting but somehow it takes pace after reading some pages. As this is debut book of the author it is quite good with well plotting, but characterisation could have been well developed. The narration needs to be improved a little though. Some grammatical errors were there which can be improved too. Waiting for next part of the book.

This story is about mysterious journey of Neelkand and Nandhini. They are newly married couple. They are talented and are working in the same IT company and on various projects. At a times, they got stressed out and sometimes they felt the emptiness too. So they wanted to have more fun in life by travelling around the world.
Nandhini wants an adventurous life so she convinced her husband to go for a vacation cum adventure trip. They planned about choosing the places and a travel guide and finally went to Georgia. What will happen to them? What is that mysterious journey? How they are trapped in that ? is the remaining story.
First few pages were very slow. It was dragged by their love story. It made me more anxious about when that mysterious journery will begin. But after Freddy entered, the book turned into a page turner. And the main characters of Story are Freddy, Athreya, Georgo, Lillishya and the prince. I liked that part where they trying to found who killed whom. This book is an interesting one.

My Opinion: I love reading fantasy book & since long, I didn't got any chance of reading a good fantasy book, so I decided to give it a try. After reading this book, I am totally amazee by the writing & the elements used by the author. The mosf surprising thing is that it's her debut novel. The book takes you to an unusual journey of the two main protagonists. I felt like a movie because the plot was well developed. Many times, the book proved shocking because the incidents were like fairy land. I initially got bored and as the plot moved, my curiosity started to rise more & more. The book definitely was intriguing. Taking about cover, I personally think it could be more better. The title does go with the book. Now, I am really am impatient to read the next book in the series.

Pros: Fast paced plot made the book interesting. I love the characterisation. I really adored both the characters. Though the book was more than 200 pages it is a one sitting read due to interesting content & bigger font size. I loved many bits about the book. Language was easy to conceive. I do recommend it to all my fellow book lovers.
Cons: There was lack of information about the on going situations. Many jumps created a chaos. I loved the book initially.

Shouldn't be enough to say how mesmerizing her scripting were. Depicted well enough to enjoy every ounce of situations and reality that has been done in.
She slayed with her art of writing. I admire #Madhuparna Suman for her confidence and believe that she showed after her first book which makes her to start up this book.

I like the way story begins with. This is such a write that I always want in reading. Author make us realize to appreciate what we have is far better and fortunate than those who wish to have and seek to have for. She also made us realize to Appreciate love, job,home, relationship, living style and more. The purity of love between couple were shown ,how they admire and thankful after the adventurous and fantasy journey which they gained and lost. Mundane lifestyle which was kept them less appreciative brought to see in different way to appreciate more than they thought. In reality evil spirit as well as good spirit do exists so in the books too. After all the win is in the favour of good spirit or for goodness. Story narration is captivating through traveling , exploring, discovering the beautiful nature through the eyes of characters that lived in.
I recommend this book to beginner, reader,avid reader and the lover of fantasy depiction follower. I just can't wait to have another book of this series.

#narration : Narration could have been more precise,the story presentation was quite bumpy. Sometimes I felt a bit detached with the story. As the theme of book includes magic and thrill which needs a powerful narration.

#characters : Character build up is quite nice in the story. The book is plot driven novel but the representation and growth of protagonist Neel and Nandani is nice. Though I think a little scope of improvement is there in character development.

#myviews : Overall I think the theme of the story and I like how the author touched some difficult elements like time travel and magic. But the execution is pretty loose. But I like the action sequences, they were pretty entertaining. I congratulate the author @authormadhuparna for attempting a story like this. Story filled with thrill, romance, magic and time travelling.

#narration : Narration could have been more precise,the story presentation was quite bumpy. Sometimes I felt a bit detached with the story. As the theme of book includes magic and thrill which needs a powerful narration.

#characters : Character build up is quite nice in the story. The book is plot driven novel but the representation and growth of protagonist Neel and Nandani is nice. Though I think a little scope of improvement is there in character development.

#myviews : Overall I think the theme of the story and I like how the author touched some difficult elements like time travel and magic. But the execution is pretty loose. But I like the action sequences, they were pretty entertaining. I congratulate the author @authormadhuparna for attempting a story like this. Story filled with thrill, romance, magic and time travelling.

Well to be honest, when I started this book I thought this was going to be another contemporary romance. But Guess what.. It turned out to be a wonderful book of adventure, magic, excited and whatever can make you feel goosebumps in a positive manner tho'😅

They were enjoying their personalized vacation in Georgia,- the food, the scenarios, unless and until they decide to visit an old castle. Their life changes forever - for good or bad.? You need to read to find out. From the beginning, Nandini feels something eerie which she cannot decode. They travel back in time- in past which changes their future- throughout being accompanied by an unusual friend. .
The action scenes are hilarious and you would love reading it! It is a magical beauty one must read! Go grab your copy and join the adventure of Neel and Nandini.. And watch your steps because a single step can led you in something unexpected!

Beyond A Mysterious Journey is a book in the genre of fantasy basically. It contains the two characters named as Neelkand and Nandini. They're married to each other and very much in love. They worked together and continues with their daily routines in life. They missed being enjoyed and the spark in their relationship starts fading. They started living their life like a robot which they're now regretting. So to get a break from their boring and dull life, they plans for a holiday at Georgia, a historical and beautiful country.
Some uneven things started happening to them while they're planning to visit Georgia. Nandini started facing nightmares and it leads her to a stressful days. But she ignores these and started enjoying the mesmerising and the very beautiful attractions of the great Georgia. While visiting the places they often leads to some unevent happenings which leads them very worried. And one day they visit to a very old building which Nandini discovers and ended up risking their lives. Nandini got captured by an evil spirit who wanted to possess her body while her husband Neelkand tries to fight back with the demon by taking the very help of a good spirit present there and finally managed to rescue both himself and his wife from that place.
It's basically a fantasy and mysterious story. At very beginning of the story it shows us the life of a couple and how they do day-to-day work and the second phase of the story is totally different by creating all those mysterious characters and spirits and forts and old empires. I liked the story and would love to read the second part of the book.

The Author has tried her best to put her imagination into words. I liked the flow of the story where Nandini and Neelkand, a normal couple come face to face with supernatural beings during their Georgia visit. Beyond a Mysterious Journey is a mix of fantasy and fiction. You get to see fictional characters landing in fantasy/unusual circumstances at some point of time in the story which is really interesting.
The story also gives some relationship message to the readers. Sometimes life gets so monotonous and relationships do not seem happening anymore. It’s always a good idea to take a break and do something different to get the entity of marriage running.
However, the e-book copy I read had a lot of errors in terms of spelling and grammar. I would suggest the Author cover it up at any cost as soon as possible so that the book gets good exposure which it really deserves. No matter how good the content is, weak editing can sometimes backstab the whole effort Author has put in writing the whole book. I really hope this suggestion will be taken with all good spirits.

A fantastic thriller by the author ..it's a debute novel of her and she done a perfect job ..The story has a fine grip on the plot and scenes.The characters were well carved from an ordinary to an extraordinary characters.The story has no unnecessary dragging...Other than these I can say that it's a picturesque travelogue as any reader can easily visualize while reading it..I rarely connects with mystery plots but with this story I connected immediately which made me not to put down the book..The love bond between two characters were very well depicted..The scenes in the story flaws eventually ..The spirits in the story gives a perfect twist in the plot ..I would eagerly wait for its sequel now..

I really liked the plot of the book as it belongs to something unpredictable. The story of two corporate officers, Nandini and Neelkand who are bored of their usual daily routine plan to go to a vacation to Georgia.. without knowing what life has for them. Though you'll find the plot a bit unrealistic because of the happenings in the story..but I would invite you all to come and experience the magical and mysterious world of Nandini and Neelkand.

'Beyond A Mysterious Journey' is definitely a mysterious book that will leave readers wanting to know what happens next. There are some typos and the book is a little rushed but overall, I found the book interesting and entertaining to read.

Beyond a mysterious journey ( spirits of time book 1) by Madhuparna Suman is a story of a young couple Nandini and Neelkand who decide to go to a different place for a vacation to escape the daily grind. They pick Georgia for its beautiful landscapes, castles and history. The couple wanted to have a relaxing trip discovering a foreign country eating it's cusine, meeting new people. However something keeps troubling Nandini with strange things. Will they have the vacation of thier dreams or will it turn into a nightmare?
Being a Stephen King fan I'm always excited to read anything in the supernatural genre.
The plot is slow in the first half of the book and picks up pace once the couple reach Georgia. I had to force myself to read the first 50% of the book, but the second half was so interesting that I couldn't keep the book down. The characters of Neel and Nandini are decently developed. I liked how the author has combined a mini travelogue along with supernatural elements. Even though the language is simple, grammatical mistakes made it difficult to understand the story completely. The book is a mystery/fantasy novel. It follows a simple language and setting. I received a copy of this book through the The Book Genie Review Program.
The story is about Nandini and her husband, Neelkand. The book has a sort of supernatural element that joins in later into the story. The couple, bored out of their monotonous lives, decide to take a vacation, a trip to Georgia. And hence unfolds the tale of travel and adventure.
The book did not meet my expectations. Initially, it was really slow paced, but it started out great. But as it went on, the writing became a bit sloppy and at times, childish. There were certain grammatical errors that made it hard for me to read and at some points, hard to understand. There were certain plot blunders that went overlooked. The mystery element seemed unnatural and ill-fitting. I liked the fact that the author described Georgia and the visiting points while the characters toured, however their relevance seemed purely informational and I couldn’t really connect it with the story. The characters seemed very stereotypical to me, too mainstream and regular. The characters deserved to be given more depth and compassion, in my opinion, rather than being plain.
I do not really recommend this book, but it was a good effort on the author’s part.
