Rate this book
Jednak podczas wycieczki do lasu ciekawska natura Freda bierze górę i piesek ucieka w poszukiwaniu przygód.

A sweet little kids book that my seven year old adored. Little Rina the dog goes looking for her young owner Emi - this book reminded my sever year old of her own dog how much she loves him and made her think of the mischief he would get upto if he ever got off his lead.

My seven year old rates this book 4 out of 5.

Ruby is so happy when her parents let her adopt a little dachshund puppy who she names Toby. Toby is small, but it’s clear he wants to be in charge of every single dog he sees when walking. Because of this Ruby’s family decides to walk in the woods. There are less dogs there. But when Ruby’s little sister, Anya slips and scrapes her face, Toby runs off! Will Ruby ever see him again? I loved this cute story. It has a very happy ending and is to read out loud. I love any book from Holly Webb.

My daughter brought this home from the school library and couldn't put it down. She read it until she finished it, so I thought I'd read it too. I found it to be a cute but quick enjoyable story about a lost dog learning some lessons and then being reunited with his owner. When my daughter enjoys a book that much, it's a definite must read for me and a recommend read as well.

This is a cool story, but I think it would be better if Lucky met more people after he ran away and before he met Jake.

I enjoy this book because it tells me what happened to Lucky and how Cristy found him. It was good luck that a man didn't keep him.

As those of us who are dog lovers know, taking care of a new puppy is a lot of responsibility. When Christy's aunt gives her one of her dachshund's babies, she is thrilled because it's the very one she's had her eye on. It's love at first sight, of course, and Christy and Lucky enjoy going on walks and getting used to new routines. When Lucky disappears while in the back yard, Christy finds her in a most unlikely place, but that disappearance foreshadows a even more frightening one. When Christy's younger sister Anna trips and hurts herself while the family is walking in a woodsy area a good distance from home, Lucky's leash and collar become loose, and the puppy ends up lost in the woods. By the time the family realizes she's missing, she is nowhere to be found. Lucky lives up to his name, though, as a kind-hearted jogger finds her. Late elementary and early intermediate readers will enjoy the story, partly because of its animal focus and happy ending and partly because of how seriously Christy takes her responsibilities as Lucky's human companion and caregiver.
