I really liked this book. A lot more than I thought I would even. Cop/criminal romances have just never been my thing. But this book blew me away! I was hooked from the very first chapter and, before I knew it, the book was over! And I enjoyed every minute of it!
I’m going to have to be on the look out for more books by the author because I loved her writing style! I’m interested to see her play around with some of my favorite tropes!
An easy read and entertaining. I can't say this was a page turner, but it did keep me engaged. Jessica Zane is a Philly Narcotics Cop and went under cover to a club to find a Xavier, a local drug dealer who is selling a dangerous drug killing local teens. Never having seen X before, she wasn't sure what she was looking for and was not expecting to find him so attractive in all the right ways. As she was trying to find her way past the security guard to get to the back room, the club was under fire. X came into the hallway she was hiding in and they escaped through a back tunnel out of harms way.
As both were pretending to be someone else, they found a connection that was too hard to ignore. X kept Jess holed up in a safe house as he figured out what was the reason for the shootout at he club and Jess tried to keep in contact with her partner as she was trying to find out intel that could be used against X and not get discovered by him. I did like how they had to keep reminding themselves to "play the part" and not let the other find out who they truly were. I would have liked a bit more backstory on both of them though. It seemed like we got a little bit more on X's background as to why he was dealing drugs, but Jess hinted that her father was not proud of her although she didn't expand any more on that. Would have been nice to have more understanding as to why she chose the route of being a cop.
Overall it was worth the read.
I received an arc from Book Sirens for my honest review.
If you would accept surrender. Review of Dirty Dealing.
This was a fun, sexy read. Philadelphia narcotics officer Jessica Zane and her partner infiltrate a dance club to expose X and his drug gang .-dealing The investigation leads Jessica and her partner to the Goth Club in west Philly. Jessica disguises herself as Lilly; a socialite dressed for a hot night out. Jessica's ample cleavage gets her into the club and she is quickly picked up and is dancing with a gorgeous hunk of a man who she doesn't know is none other Mr. X. (Xavier Graham) The man she is here to arrest. A shot breaks out in the club and Mr. X rushes her out and escapes. They are on the run not knowing who the other is until later. Meanwhile, they have a lot of hot and sweaty sex in between. Lol. (Which i loved) This is my first enemies/to lovers book outside of Fanfiction and I really loved this book. I loved the characters. Jessica Zane was a badass. She was tough as nails and so cool! I liked the fact that Xavier was an anti-hero. He wasn't good however, he wasn't all that bad either. I'm glad that this author didn't make him an extremely horrible corrupt person. This is the first book ive read by this author and will not be my last. I read there is a sequel to this book from another review. I am off to buy it after i submit this review if there is. I like to thank BOOKSIRENS as well as the author for provided me a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Jessica goes undercover to take down drug boss X, only she's insanely attracted to him and he doesn't act like a sleazy, drug dealer.
Xavier runs his bosses operations with his partner, when a fight breaks out at the club he deals at he pulls 'Lily' to safety with him taking her to his safehouse. He protects her, servers her breakfast in bed and he doesn't behave like you'd expect a drug dealer to behave. His actions don't fit his profile and Jessica finds herself sinking deep, as well as having a lot of hot sex. I liked that she was a good cop but it was undermined by her fellow cops repeated actions showing lack of faith in her, I loved how she kicked ass towards the end.
If you like anti-heroes this is a hot, erotic read, with action and adventure. Believability is low, with cops texting her while she's undercover using her real name and not using code words, as well as three unmarked cars staking out their hiding place but if you can ignore that, enjoy the fall of a cop to the reluctant, sexy hot drug dealer and their happily ever after.

Wow going undercover was never such an eye opener!!
Jessica Zane is an undercover cop calling herself Lily Tomlin and she has one goal to get X. He is the mastermind behind the making and selling of the most addictive drug to hit Philly and Jess wanted it off her streets. She goes to a nightclub knowing X will be there but everything goes wrong when the club is attacked and X grabs her to get to safety. She chooses to stay under cover. He is the perfect gentleman. which throws Jess off. When they get to the safe house The sexual chemistry between them is off the charts and it isn't long before they are kissing. And thing start to move quickly.
X wants to be a better man but he has his reasons why he must continue to wear this mask but when he meets Lily everything changes.
Could these two ever be anything other than a drug dealer under investigation and an undercover cop???
Wow the twists and turns in this book just keep you hooked. You just dont know what is going to happen next. And the attraction between X and Jess is like a fire cracker going off. Super hot Super Addictive.
This is my first book by Sloan Quinn and I'm very excited to read more
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
This was my first book by this author and I was impressed! The blurb drew me and after reading the excerpt from the book, I knew I needed more of this story. Jess has dedicated 5 years to catching the infamous X and now has her chance. What started out as a simple undercover mission turned into so much for more Jess. She didn't expect to feel sparks and be on the run for her life. Her and Xavier have so much chemistry and most of it in the bedroom lol. There's a lot of sexy times between them in this book. Xavier got wrapped up into the drug game and hates it. He wants more for his life. He wants to take care of his family the right way. Meeting Jess wasn't expected but it was the sign he needed to make his mind up about what he wanted. He and his boy Elon had a plan. He was good at his job and knew it but it wasn't him anymore. This book was super well written and despite this being a dark book, it had characters you instantly fall in love with. I loved both Jess and Xavier together! They were explosive and truly loved each other! Very good book! I need more from this author! I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Jessica is working undercover to gain information on a street drug X including getting details on those in the distribution hierarchy. She is smart and supported by her team while she goes to a club to gain this information where she meets Xavier. He is sexy a hell and the man the Jessica is looking for.
Xavier is a ruthless drug dealer who finds himself drawn to Jessica, unknowing who she is. During their first encounter at the club the two find themselves on the run and depending on each other.
Their story is the discovery of who they each are and the lengths they will go to to protect themselves and their hearts.
The overall premise of the story is good and I could feel the chemistry between Jessica and Xavier so I wanted to love it more than I did. Their story happens so quickly that I would have enjoyed slowing it down a little to fully understand the depths of the attraction between the two other than just being physical. The overall story wraps up a little to quickly for me as well and I think I needed a little more depth of story here.

Jessica Zane is a police officer who has been trying to bring down a drug dealer known only as "X" for years. Undercover as a society girl named Lily Tomlin, she finally has him in her sights when all hell breaks loose at the club they are in. X aka Xavier pulls her along with him when escaping the melee. It isn't long before she begins to realize that Xavier is caring and protective and not anything like she imagined X would be. Jessica is a tough, capable woman who can handle almost anything - except maybe her growing feelings for Xavier.
Even though Xavier is a criminal who has done a lot of bad things, he actually has a good heart and keeping Lily safe becomes his primary concern. Jessica and Xavier are likable characters with great chemistry and plenty of heat. I really liked this steamy romance a lot. The story pulled me right in and kept me interested until the very end.
I am voluntarily reviewing an advance reader copy of this book.
I voluntarily reviewed a copy of "DIRTY DEALING" This was my first read by Sloan Quinn and I was very impressed with her writing and how she portrayed her characters that were strong, sassy, sexy as sin, feisty, and they pulled you right into the storyline. Jessica Zane aka Lily goes undercover to a Club in Philly to take down the known drug dealer she'd been after for 5 yr Xavier Graham who will be there. Xavier and Lily are dancing when the shooting starts from a known enemy Cartel he takes Lily with him to protect her to hus home things developed and they have a scorching hot one stand. This was full intense drama, intrigue, danger, suspense, secrets, and twists that make for a very entertaing read I definitely recommend I thoroughly enjoyed I can't wait to read more by this Author.
Dilemma between two worlds 4,5 Very good romance, very well written, that I did not let go once started. The characters are good: Jessica is an undercover agent and she goes to a club to get evidence against X (Xavier), who would provide drugs. She does not know what he looks like, and she's attracted to a man she lets go before discovering that he was her suspect. But a shooting breaks out and Xavier takes her away. Nothing happens as expected and Jessica, Xavier and Elon his sidekick, finds themselves in the middle of a gang war in which they are the target. The opposition and the attraction between these two characters is exciting knowing that only the reader knows the cover of Jessica and that at any moment, if they discovered who she is, she's likely to be killed.
I received this book free for an honest and voluntary review. This is a matter of opposites attract, Jess is a narcotics officer and Xavier is a drug dealer. She's supposed to gather information and arrest him as the king pin of a cartel. But as I said, opposites attract, and the sparks were immediately flying, when to "avi" she was nothing more than a pretty woman in a bar, and to Jess, aka Lily he was also just a patron in that bar. But when bullets start to fly, they end up escaping together, and she finds out that she's hit the mother load so to speak and decides to see where that road will lead her. Can she tame the bad boy, or will the cartel win out? Loved the heat and sparks that radiated off the two of them. Look forward to Elon and Ava's story
I recieved a digital cop of this book through BookSirens in exchange for an honest review. All opinions made are my own and given voluntarily.
Another cliché style romance by I still really enjoyed it, I kept guessing what was going to happen next in relation to the drugs and action however the romance was very obvious and I really disliked the Instalove, which is basically what happened. Its just a little unbelievable from the story.
The pacing didn't fit it only lasted a few days and yet they're in love? It makes no sense to be honest. And makes it less believable as a story however I really liked the authors writing, and the way she described everything.
I will probably check out the next book when that come

This was a really nice read, i liked it . I liked Xavier more than Jess tough , because i hated how she was cop style and tried to make him the bad guy even when he was so sweet to her... yeah i know this is how a good undercover cop should be but well i usually don't like it. But yes this was a really nice undercover story, and they finded they happy ever after together . The writing style was good and enjoyable . The reason i give 3 stars is because i read so many books and it's rare for me to find a "wow unforgettable book anymore" i need more in it. For who want a nice read this is the perfect book. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Fast paced action and two characters that have real and intense chemistry. But she’s a cop and he’s a drug dealer and her target. A surprise shoot out and she’s suddenly “saved” by her target. As Jessica Zane (our cop going by the name of Lily) gets to know Xavier (our drug dealer) she discovers there is more under the surface. True love unites them but they are separated by the line between good and evil.
There were some areas that were ridiculous (three cop cars staking them out) but the relationship was hot, the characters were interesting and the story intriguing. (I voluntarily reviewed an ARC).
Recieved an ARC via BookSirens. Jessica Zander undercover cop is going by the name Lily Tomlin to try and catch X, the person behind a drug. Going to a night club she meets him but the club is attacked and she finds herself in a safe house with X who still thinks that she is Lily. Determined to find the evidence that she needs she stays with him but begins to see a completely different side to him. The chemistry between them is intense from the beginning and their relationship seems to move quickly despite the lies on both sides. This book is well written and there are lots of twists in the book and would say it is worth a read
Xavier and Jess, well what a ride this book was. A new author to me, I really enjoyed the forbidden lovers story line. Plenty of drama and twists and turns to keep the reader turning the pages!
Xavier, although not necessarily a good guy was addictive, he certainly let his softer side come through for Jess. Now talking of Jess, she was predominantly a hard as nails chick, but in parts was a little annoying. Loved all the supporting characters, both good and bad, they really made the overall story what it was.
Definitely recommend this book to anyone who likes a little bit of the darker side of romance.
This story was decently entertaining for me. I'm not a huge fan of unexplained instalust, so their immediate connection didn't grab me. The way they started to get to know each other afterwards helped, though honestly the way they let it overshadow their duties stood out more. Truly the worst law enforcement officer and criminal EVER. I just couldn't get over their stupid decision making when it came to their professions, not to mention disregard for their own safety. So yes...the plot was OK, but that kind of undermined it.

What a great read that captured my attention from the beginning and I couldn't put the book down until I read the last word with characters you want to know more about and a great story that was suspenseful, steamy, and fast-paced. I loved the instant attraction and scorch-your-skin-off chemistry between undercover police officer Jessica Zane and criminal drug dealer Xavier Graham. If you like well-crafted suspenseful romance with a bad boy alpha male and bad-ass female, don't miss "Dirty Dealing" by new-to-me Sloan Quinn. I received an advance reader copy of this book from Book Sirens and am voluntarily leaving my review.
Recently I have been leaning more towards audio books because I have been having a tough time finding ebooks that hold my attention.
That was NOT an issue with this book, the blurb drew me in and then I couldn't stop. I read it all today, almost all in one sitting. It was so entertaining and even had a few funny parts. I enjoyed the characters and the story line itself. I loved watching Xavier and Jessica's relationship develop and I thought the sex scenes were great!
Overall, it was a great steamy romance. :)

This isn't a gritty crime family saga this is a fun read based in the world of organised crime and Jessica(Jes) and Xander have some fairly great chemistry going on between them. She is undercover in a underground club trying to find the elusive X a man running drugs in her precinct She is dancing with a hot guy when all hell breaks lose Xander is drawn to the ditsy woman he is dancing with but feels there is more to her so he take her home when a rival cartel causes issues. Will these two have any future together and why does a bad guy seem so nice You will have to read to find out
This is my first read of this author and I was not disappointed. I have a weakness for bad boys romance books and this book was certainly up there on my favorites. Can I just tell you Xavier is the ultimate hot alpha dominant guy! Yeah, he's a drug dealer but look past that and he's a total heart throb. Good girl cop, who has more spitfire and sass than I've ever seen, total girl crush! Jessica, you go girl! This book is going on my favorite bad boy reads! I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Dirty Dealing is the story of police officer Jessica Zane, aka Lily Tomlin, going undercover to capture Xavier Graham, aka X, Philadelphia’s leading drug dealer. From the first page of this book, I was hooked. The tension, action, and mystery were thrilling. The heat between Jessica/Lily and Xavier was off the charts, and getting to know the motivation of why Xavier chose this dangerous and harmful path, gave the story more depth and had me invested. This is a steamy story you won’t want to put down. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this story.
Action, Danger, & Sizzling Steam!!! This book had everything! There was danger, action, and sexy times between some unlikely people! I liked Jess/Lily and loved that she was a total bad@ss! Xavier really drew me in though. His internal battle and self loathing made me instantly want to know more of his story. And when I finally learned all of it...I was so heartbroken for him, for what he was willing to do to protect and save those he loved. I can’t wait to read about Elon!! I need to know what happens to him! I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
I really enjoyed Dirty Dealing by Sloan Quinn. I was hooked right away and the chemistry between Lilly aka Jessica and X aka Xavier is hot! From the beginning they are drawn to each other and the sassy, sexy, action packed interactions kept this story moving. Lilly goes undercover at a night club ready to take down the mysterious drug dealing X. They end up fleeing the scene and find themselves alone in a safe house. X and Lilly are so drawn to each other they risk everything just to save each other.
It's been a long time since I have read a book in one seating. This book caught my attention at the beginning and I just wanted to keep reading. The whole good girl, bad guy never seems to lose its appeal, it is still as sexy as ever. Obviously, I really enjoyed the characters, the storyline and the ending. I can't wait to find out what happens to Elon and Ava in the next book.
I have to let you know that I did receive n advance copy of this book from Booksiren, however,I am leaving this review voluntarily.
This book has a well thought out and delivered plot that held my attention and kept me entertained from start to finish. The characters are well rounded and have great chemistry which leads to some steamy scenes and some really great dialogue. There are some twists and turns, drama, suspense, intrigue and romance in this story which all results in a great read! This is a stand-alone novel and there is a HEA. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
This was a new author for me, and I found the book to be very well written. I loved the chemistry between Xavier and Jessica, he is a alpha male and she is a hot and sassy woman that doesnt take anything off of a man she can give as good as she gets. This book contains just about a little bit of everything its action packed, full of drama, intrigue plus hot hot romance. I would certainly recommend this book to my friends.
Sloan Quinn is a new author for me, so I came into this with no preconceived ideas as to the writing style. The story flowed well with a clear plot that took twists and turns keeping my interest piqued. The characters are both strong willed, hard headed, and determined in everything; including the chemistry between them. There's action, adventure, sexual chemistry, mystery. I received a copy of this book and this is my voluntary review.
I voluntarily received a copy of this book for an honest review! I was really enjoying the relationship aspect of this book. And quite frankly and the action drama that was involved was great. I wish it had been a longer book, just so it all didn’t seem rushed at the end. I really like the new career paths they choose at the end, I would’ve enjoyed a more enlightening glimpse at their future. But I’m more excited to read the next book.
This is the first book I have read by this author. It will not be the last! This book had a great story-line that was well-written. It grabbed my attention from the start and never let go. Jessica and Xavier had a lot of chemistry between them. Actually, I don't know how anyone couldn't have chemistry with Xavier! Holy Smokes!!! Loved him!
