Rate this book
This manuscript will give you a brief glimpse into the mind of a contemporary Sikh. Unable to compromise, I give to you acollection of poetic, philosophical, and factual confessions.

Chapter One
Mothers and fathers were murdered, sisters were violated, brothers weretortured and executed, friends were ambushed and sprayed down withbullets, households were looted, the Golden Temple was near-decimated,rare Sikhie manuscripts were turned to ashes, and a quarter million were annihilated. The invasion of Punjab by the Indian government in theyear 1984 to 1992 scarred the Sikh collective consciousness. Forgive wewill... but how to forget?

This chapter is an expression of thefeelings that still haunt the Sikh nation, and a factual representationof the attempt at genocide by the Indian government.

Chapter Two
In the year 1699, the spiritual realm conspired and inspired the GreatGobind to establish the Khalsa, the foremost covenant of the past 1000years. This chapter is a salutation to that mystical union.

Chapter Three
The Sikh nation is still under attack, but not in the traditional sense, and not only from one direction. Of this, Chapter Three is anexpression.

Chapter Four
It is victory over the fivethieves and submission to The Absolute Condition; it is victory overMaya and submission to Heaven. This chapter briefly explores some of the leading numinous lessons presented by the Sikhie philosophy.

Mike Bhangu

Mike Bhangu was born in Canada, to immigrants from “the land of a million martyrs”, Punjab, and from a very young age, Mike’s rebellious nature predisposed him to challenge the status quo. His metaphysical knuckles are yet to completely heal, and on those hot and dry days, the scars are quick to act as a Morning Glory flower. Fortunately, Mike’s fascination with philosophy, sociology, political science, popular culture, religion, theology, mysticism, and history focused his defiant predispositions and tamed his tendency to make fists.

Mike’s attraction to knowledge gave meaning to the passions, and motivated by reason, he unclenched and picked up a pen to communicate his rebellion. The by-product has been several unique and insightful non-fiction publications. Each challenges the status quo and each highlights ideas that will help free the mind from the illusions that enslave us all.

Bear Witness.
