Pergunte a Deepak Chopra sobre amor e relacionamentos

Rate this book

I am sure this was probably the worst Deepak Chopra book I could have chosen as my first read of this author. It was one that I received free, however, so I can't say as I would have sought out his work otherwise. Regardless, there I was. I read it, and was very happy when it was over.

This book is mostly just a Q&A session with Chopra. There are countless questions posed that cover most any relationship issue one might run into from "How do I find a partner?" to "What do I do if my partner won't have sex with me?" While it is certain that the author has some great advice, I just didn't get into the book overall. It kept nagging me that these folks were writing to someone they likely had never meant looking for advice and validation so they could move forward in some way. I don't feel very comfortable with that.

Good insights on a variety of topics. I was not completely sold on some of the metaphysical aspects. However, I was happy to see that most of the answers encouraged a shift away from the ego...letting go of the desire to take everything personally and connect one's identity to a situation or another person. I also respected the fact that sometimes the author simply answered "I don't know" instead of presuming to have the answer to everything.
