Desperate times call for desperate measures, like seeking a mail order groom.
Saul McCormick isn't the kind of man who believes in fairytales like love or trust. After a terrible breakup left him publicly on the ropes, Saul disappeared to the mountains to find himself again. He's just not ready to do people again, yet.
Kyler Nielson thought he had it made at the Tall Oaks Country Club, until he was suddenly canned. Stuck trying to keep his father in a comfortable living facility for dementia patients, Kyler needs cash now. Mail Misters, an online mail-order groom service, is waving the green in his face. Can it be that bad?
With Kyler desperate for cash and Saul desperate for companionship, the two seem like a perfect match. But Hollywood just won’t let go of Saul’s name, and Kyler can’t help but notice the seclusion isn’t great for his soon-to-be fake husband. Unfortunately, the city means exposure—and they can’t have that.
These two are brought together to fake it until they make it. But when Saul's trust fund is put in jeopardy, can they make things work for real? This standalone contemporary gay mpreg novel is for adults only..

Mail order bride. Yap. Something fun.
This was exactly that for me. Fun.
For some reason if had the feel of a ‘short-read’ to me? It’s like everything flew by in a blink of an eye and you just afterwards know that you enjoyed what you just finished.
I liked both characters. I enjoyed the story. I really don't feel like going into detail so that's it. ;-) FUN
An okay read cute enough. I did have to take off a star for the overuse of the word “hubby”. At first it was cute and then it grated on my nerves. P.S. Richard Gere’s suit was gray in Pretty Woman in the limo scene at the end. They kept having an argument whether it was black or white.
I received a free audiobook in exchange for an honest review.
This was an enjoyable story. However, the conflict was pretty flimsy, Kyler admits to himself that he didn't really have anything to be angry about but he was still unwilling to speak to the man he professed to love and let him explain.
Saul waits weeks to go see Kyler?? Really??Then bam! They have a baby, get married and it's The End.
The story could have been filled out more. It just rang a little hollow for me.
I enjoyed the audio presentation. It was well done.

Kyler just got fired from yet another job for standing up to a homophobe. His father is battling dementia and has just been placed in a nice home that will take care of his needs. Now that Kyler isn't working, he has no way to pay for his care.
Until his bestie jumps in and saves the day... kinda. She creates a profile for Kyler on Mail Misters, an online mail order groom service. Mail Misters isn’t like Tinder or Grindr. Its sole purpose is to hook up rich men (sugar daddies, I guess you’d say) with people like Kyler to get married. It’s the 21st century version of mail order grooms. :)
Saul is a famous actor's son. He disappeared from the public eye years before after a scandal. When his father gives him an ultimatum - be married and at least have a kid on the way in the next couple of years or lose his trust fund - Saul seeks out a husband. Of course, it would be in name only. He has no desire for romance or (God forbid) love. He tried that once and he has no desire to do it again. He gets on Mail Misters and sees Kyler's profile. This is when the story begins.
This was a cute story and not at all what I was expecting. It's a non-shifter mpreg, something I don't think I'd ever read before. There were a couple of things that had me shaking my head but nothing that really took away from my enjoyment of the story. A nice read.
So, I really loved this story and I totally got all the FEELS, but despite LOVING both characters, there were some things that bothered me.
Saul had been burned and then turned into quite the jerk by the media, forcing him out of LA and into seclusion in the mountains. He was living his life, but was lonely. When his father changed the rules on his inheritance forcing him to marry and have a family, he decided he didn't need love in the equation and went on a marriage site to purchase a husband.
Kyler was a hard worker. He was fired from his job, but needed money to pay for his father's care and was desperate. When his BFF signed him up on the marriage match website, he couldn't really find a reason to say no.
I loved how engaged Kyler and Saul were from the start. They were funny and tactile and both just very invested, which made the story fun. But it bothered me that they were fine just living off of what money Saul did have. And he seemed fine doing NOTHING while waiting for his inheritance. That just didn't sit well with me. Kyler seemed like he'd be willing to work 3 jobs to pay for what he wanted, so it was strange that he was content to lay around in the middle of nowhere for the rest of his life.
The story was fast paced and kept me interested and invested in their relationship and ended with a great HEA.

The concept for this story was good, but there were some flow issues that didn't quite work for me. I thought Saul and Kyler made for an interesting match. Both had financial reasons for agreeing to the marriage with a contract stipulating that it would be a business arrangement rather than a romance. But quickly they both realize they are falling for each other. I felt like we didn't get enough of the buildup for the romance though. They first get together and then it's a month later. The time-gaps in the book were odd at times. I do think there were some hot and some sweet moments in this book, I just wish the flow hadn't felt so stilted.
Mail order spouses...not just for brides anymore. I must admit, I love the extension of the traditional mail order bride genre to the M/M world.^^
This is a fantastic story of two men who need each other for financial reasons - one to maintain his inheritance and the other to provide for his father - who find a connection and slowly realize they need one another for more than fake convenience. The characters were both likable and people I wanted to see overcome the past and find an HEA. A little drama, light angst, some steamy scenes, and a lot of love make this a great read.

What did I just start listening to? Nah... 1) Where on earth does this say it's got something paranormal going on? I could not find that tag anywhere, nor in the description. So if it's not paranormal, whats with all the sniffing/smelling and Alpha / Omega stuff? That's usually urban fantasy paranormal.
But I couldn't even be bothered after 5 minutes. I don't know if I'll ever pick this back up.
Narration: Didn't really like the "Alpha" dude bro voices of the non MC. Which is what caused me to stop listening after 5 minutes
Saul needs to get married and start a family for his father to support him. Kyler didn't think about getting married, but when he lost his job he needed to support his father, and he accepted his friend's suggestion that he marry for convenience. Neither expected to fall in love.
I love Kyler. He's a romantic, believes in happy endings, loves his father, and would do anything for him. He never thought of marrying without love, but it was a solution to his problems. And it was all easier when he met Saul. The bad news was that he wanted so much more than he could offer, and he was afraid Saul would break his heart.
He's comfortable with Saul, he feels safe, loved. He doesn't tell it, but Kyler notices that he loves him because of his gestures.
Saul was afraid of falling in love and suffering again. That's why he preferred a marriage of convenience. But it was very hard to have Kyler by his side. With him he could talk about everything. He was getting closer to him than he would have thought possible, and he wasn't as frightened as he thought.
It's not as easy for Saul to open up as it is for Kyler, but he feels he can do it with him. He wants to share everything with him. But he isn't honest with Kyler, he hides a part of himself from him. Kyler opens up, and it's difficult for Saul to do the same.
I love Korbin. He's a great father who gave everything for his son, and he didn't regret anything. He loved him, he adored him. I loved that Saul could meet him, even for a short time, and that he wants to be a positive influence for his children, as Korbin was for Kyler. I cried, of course. I love that Kyler was able to say goodbye to him. And his sadness is very real. But I don't like him pretending to be well, or that he can't talk to anyone.
I also love Jess. The ferocity with which she defends Kyler, how she is always there for him. The best friend in the world.
Kyler was right about one thing. He depended too much on Saul. He had to do things for himself. But Saul didn't force him to do anything. He would have been glad that he wanted to do things for himself.
I didn't like when they argued, although I expected it. I didn't expect what Saul did.
Saul McCormick leaves Hollywood behind after a terrible break up leaves him publicly humiliated. He heads to a small mountain town to heal his wounds and find himself again. Saul has always lived in the shadows of his famous Hollywood star father and it’s hasn’t always been easy measuring up. After his father threatens to cut him off if he doesn’t get married and have a child in 2 years he needs to come up with a plan. Saul has no desire to fall in love after what happened in his last relationship. He comes across Mail Misters and things it’s the perfect solution. He can draw up a contract where it’s clear the relationship is strictly a business transaction with no emotions involved.
Kyler Nielsen thought he finally has it made. He knows he’ll never be rich and that’s ok. He works at a country club but after an incident with a member gets him fired he scrambles to figure out what he’ll do to keep his father in the living facility he’s in for dementia patients. Kyler’s best friend tells him about Mail Misters. He’s not sure how he feels about getting married but in order to keep his father in that facility he has no choice. He needs money fast.
Kyler uproots his life to move in with Saul in his mansion in the mountains. It’s everything Kyler wants and Saul is everything Kyler needs. After spending time with each other Kyler has no hesitation in signing the contract Saul presents to him. They live in wedded bliss and never seem to get bored with each other. It doesn’t take long for either of them to realize that they’re both violating the contract when their feelings for one another become apparent.
Saul and Kyler are great together. Their story had me from the start. Their chemistry together made it clear they’re made for each other. Sometimes you come across the right person in the weirdest of circumstances. I loved this book and was sad to see it end.

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the romance between Kyler and Saul. Kyler was an omega and he was working at a country club as a waiter until he was fired because of an altercation with a customer. Kyler then worried about how he was going to afford to pay for his father's nursing home. Kyler's best friend signed him up to a mail order groom service in hopes he would find an alpha. Saul was the son of a famous actor and about ten years ago, he was caught in a scandal when he caught his fiance cheating on him. Saul was hounded by the tabloids until he fled to the mountains where he lived alone. Saul's father came to visit him one day and told him he was going to take away his inheritance unless Saul found an omega and got married and started a family. Saul found the mail order groom web site and was matched with Kyler. Saul told Kyler the marriage would only be in name, but he wanted a child. Kyler moved to the mountain with Saul and they settled into a routine. Saul and Kyler got along great and enjoyed each other's company. They were very attracted to each other and soon they developed feelings, but neither would admit it because of the agreement. Saul helped Kyler with his father and things were going well until Saul's ex showed up and then the tabloids found Saul. I really loved this story. I loved Kyler and the way he made Saul laugh. I think they were great together and had a lot of fun, as well as a lot of heat. Another great one from Aiden.
I absolutely loved this story it’s another hit by Aiden Bates. Kyler was working in a country club but he was fired, he got his best friend Jess to pick him up and while Kyler was driving Jess set him up on a site called Male Misters it’s a mail order groom service it’s for billionaires who don’t have the time looking for a husband Kyler wasn’t happy but he let it go because he was going to visit his father in the home. Saul was humiliated over 10 years ago by his ex so he moved to Roch Mountain to get out of the spotlight, his father came by and told him that if he didn’t marry and have a child within 2 years then his father was going to turn him off. Saul thought about it then he went on his computer and found a site called Male Misters he looked through and picked a gorgeous man and if the other man agreed to the contract then they would get married. Saul thought that this was perfect he didn’t have to bring any emotions into this contract all he had to do was have a baby then after the 2 years he would terminate the relationship with the man and because there would be no love involved it will be perfect enough to please his father. That is just the beginning of this story but there is so much more to keep you entertained and turning the pages. What a fantastic story I loved it a 5 plus ⭐️ read and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.
This was a fun, sweet read and I really liked these characters and a bit of a new tale on a mail order spouse! Kyler and Saul couldn’t be more different and yet they are so perfect for each other!
Kyler is working to support his father who is in a care home, he’s trying to make ends meet but one sassy moment and he’s without a job. He’s a total romantic with a wonderful heart and when his best friend signs him up for a mail order husband service he just goes with it. Saul used the prince of Hollywood until the most embarrassing and heartbreaking moments of his life were plastered all over tabloids. Now he lives in a secluded mountain area alone and away from anyone that might recognize him. But loneliness and an ultimatum from his father have him ordering a husband. Both men are optimistic that the arrangement will work, but love isn’t supposed to be a part of the contract.
One of my favorite things about this story was Saul and they way he thought he had shut himself off to love but in actuallity he falls hard and fast for Kyler, even if he can’t admit it. I really loved these two together and the natural feeling of their relationship. These are both great guys who really do deserve happiness. There were a lot of feels in this story and it all comes together in a great ending! Really enjoyed this book!!

Love wins in the end... no matter how much we resist it, avoid it, defy it, mock it, one can't fight against their own nature, and we are made to offer and receive love...love always wins. I enjoyed the great relationship between Kyler and his father, between Kyler and his good, sometimes annoying friend, Jess, the puns and jokes between the characters, the good taste of Saul's house and the balance he found living in the mountains, even if what brought him there was the unexpected treason of the one who was supposed to be his lover. What is not something to appreciate, something very human, and the reason of many of misunderstandings and sufferings in stories and real life, is the fact that we don't communicate and don't listen. We prefer to hide, because we suffer, and we don't listen, because we are hurt and in hurry to run away from the one who disappointed us, without even trying to hear their reasons. That shows that this love was not very mature. Only after much suffering we understand our mistakes, and those really determined to find their happiness and redemption find the courage to give up on their pride and stubbornness, admit their mistakes and start all over for the sake of those they love. This is the first sign of a real love. Enjoy and learn! :)
Saul is an alpha who secluded himself away after a devastating betrayal and his father just gave him an ultimatum. Kyler is a fun loving, flirty, sassy omega who has had no luck dating or keeping a job, his Dad is ill, and his best friend just signed him up for something unusual. Sparks of attraction fly instantly between Saul and Kyler and soon, in addition to sizzling sexy times, there is a deeper emotional connection. The laughs and good times come to an abrupt halt when some heartbreaking events occur. This is a truly great story, it is entertaining and emotional with intriguing characters and an interesting storyline. This is well written with a lot of laughs, some tears, bullies, meddling parents, an unexpected love, and a sweetly satisfying HEA. I really enjoyed this book and definitely recommend it.

When Kyler finds himself fired, yet again for standing up to entitled homophobes, his best gal pal Jess signs him up for Mail Misters, a modern day mail order spouse sort of service. The arrangement would give Saul the mate he was looking for, and the mate he needed to keep his inheritance, and would give Kyler the funds he needed to keep his Dad in the special hospital for Dementia where he was winding down his days.
Happily, real feeling develop for both. Unhappily, careless words, and very public interference from an ex of Saul, all lead towards a separation - at least temporarily.
The only way past the bad stuff is through it - and with more love and surprises on the horizon, some grand gestures just might be a start towards a better tomorrow.
M/M love with humor, steamy interludes, and the messed up challenges of life! Way coool!

Thank you for the ARC read,I voluntarily give this book an honest review. Saul just needed a fake husband for two years, one willing to have his baby. He didn't want or need love after what had happened with his ex. He just was ready for the fireball of Tyler coming in his life. Kyler and his best friend had joined a online mating site, when he got a notification from a hot guy that wanted to join in a two year contract. Kyler wasn't sure what to expect but it was Saul McCormick that was for sure and he was supposed to fall in love with him so quickly. But once Tyler finds out why Saul only wanted to be married two years, will Tyler stay or run? And by then will it be to late for Saul to tell Tyler how he feels or just lose everything? This book was so emotional at times, you get high good feels to sad for them feels.

I don't know where to begin except if you don't read this book you are missing out on an incredble journey of love, loss, and a great ending of two people finding each other and the changes it made in their lives. Saul is the son of a hollywood icon, and now in hiding due to a horrible breakup years before. Under the stess of a stipulation his father imposed on his inheritance Saul had to get married and have a child. So online match making it was, along with a signed agreement that no love would be involved. Kyler could do that, he needed the money for his father, and two years was not that bad. What the two of them did not take in to consideration is that they would fall in love. Life would be easy if that was the end, but a story breaks and now it looks like the end of their happiness. Amazing ending to a great story.

Pretend I'm Yours is a contemporary mpreg romance by Aiden Bates about a fake marriage that starts to feel very real. Saul's past keeps him from moving on in love, but he needs to start a family or risks losing everything. Kyler loses his job after a run in with a nasty customer and needs to find a new way to pay for his father's medical care. When they match together on a mail order spouse spp, it seems perfect to enter a contract marriage and keep it without feelings. But when they are actually together the lines between pretend and real blur... but will the revelation come too late?
Saul's and Kyler are great characters and their story is a great mix of fun, sweet and sexy. Definitely satisfying.

Aiden Bates never disappoints that much I can tell you. This book had an interesting plot and the characters were quite in depth with their emotions. And once again I totally cried at one point while reading this book.
Character breakdown;
Kyler: I loved the sass of this omega! Loved his boldness and how easily he bantered with his bff and Saul. My heart broke with him though when he lost his father.
Saul: at first I was sure he was going to be the typical brooding alpha with a little arrogance. But I quickly took a liking to him, he was fun to get to know and his antics towards the end were cute.
Once again Aiden impresses me without even trying. Totally should read this book if you are into sassy omegas and brooding alphas turn to love sick puppies lol.
Kyler needed money and fast after standing up to a bully at his last place of employment with disastrous results. His bestie knowing him better than he knew himself signed him up as a mail-order groom. Saul had spent the last ten years in hiding after a Hollywood scandal blew his life apart. An ultimatum from his parents set the wheels in motion for him to meet Kyler and get everything in life he never knew he really wanted. Saul was unbelievably sweet when Kyler was going through a horrible tragedy and Kyler helped Saul open his heart again after a few stumbling blocks. I enjoyed the middle of the night bachelor party Jess threw Kyler and laughed at the Pretty Woman reimagining.

This was an amazing book from one of my favourite authors. I absolutely loved this book. Saul was hurt extremely badly, in the past and is now unwilling to let his heart be hurt again. But is fate about to step in. Kyler is a beautiful person inside and out. It seems to shine out of him in all his mannerisms. These two's lives about to change, from what they have already. Wether they are ready or not. This is quite the journey we take with these two sweet and thoughtful people, who seem quite compatible. This is an absolutely must read book, one that won't disappoint. Grab it asap.

I cannot believe how awesome this book is! Kyler and Saul are so good together. I was so engrossed in the love story that I really did not want to stop reading - like ever!
The MC'S have some conflict, of course, because they are not shallow people. In fact, they both feel deeply and are responsible adults. I really was not prepared for the thoughtful, emotional scenes that had me teary-eyed from the simple realness. Sigh. Well done, my friend. Well done

Saul and Kyler hearts recognize love even when their minds deny love. This is a beautiful story of overcoming betray and learning to love. Connections of the heart really matter and create the basis of this delightful read. I really enjoyed both MC's and found them both so likable and enjoyed their interactions. The writing flowed and the story-line kept me reading.
i do love grand gestures and this had a classic and very enjoyable scene.
i am so hoping that there is more books coming, i really enjoyed the premise of the book.
