1-3 I got these for free and can't believe that I'm so hooked...just bought the 4th one! I have to see where these kids are headed! Tamara Rose Blodgett has such a way with words and knows the inner workings of her characters. They all have a depth that just grabs you from the beginning. I'm in my fifties, and I'm digging on these books! I have to say, she has a sense of humor that makes me laugh out loud! I would have hung out with these kids in school. Looking forward to the next one in the series.
4-6 There are moments, in Tamara Rose Bolodgett's writing, when I almost fall on the floor laughing! I could swear, she was a teenage boy in another life. She has such insight on these kids, and I absolutely love the grandfather! He reminds me so much of some of the father and grandfather figures I grew up with. I decided, after reading the first three books in the series, that I am definitely going to have to see this through to the end. There is so much paranormal intrigue and danger, but it's held together by this group of kids that have each other's backs. These were kids like the ones I hung around with when I went to school. I am loving this series!
As I am growing to expect from Tamara Rose Blodgett, this book was filled with humor. I loved the link to her "Savage" series, and honestly didn't make the connection until that moment. Then, it all came together. There was danger and suspense, and I actually shed some tears toward the end. I love her writing and am looking forward to the next one which, by the way, is waiting in my Kindle to be started.
A fitting final chapter to this part of the story...well done! It was very exciting and kept me on the edge of my seat. If a story makes my heart jump and brings tears to my eyes, it has affected me and drawn me in. This one did exactly that. I have the next one in the Death series and am looking forward to seeing what kind of trouble the next generation causes.
7-9 LOVE: As is usually the case, Tamara Rose Blodgett has drawn me into an extended Death series, and I wait on pins and needles for the next chapter. This one contained just as much excitement and danger as her previous Death series works...maybe even a little more. It's always so intense, making it almost impossible to put the story down. I absolutely loved it!
BLINKS: This has been such a long anticipated addition to the Death series. We get to visit with all of the beloved characters we met in earlier books, plus we meet some new, fun and exciting characters who add dimension and flavor to the series. This one revolves around Pax and Deagan who are the major contributors to the danger of their predicament as they travel to the world of the Reflectives and then back to the one place they never wanted to return, Bot World. This time, the women are met with unexpected side effects.(You'll have to read the book to find out what that side effect is.) It was a constantly changing adventure as certain characters blink everyone from one world dimension to the next, never knowing what will be in store for them as they make their way through each situation. Other characters pick up and lose their powers, and still others gain powers they didn't realized they could. And their final destination is the strangest of all. We also regain a character or two that we've missed and face the danger that comes with the Brad Thompson of Bot World.
Once again, Tamara Rose Blodgett takes us places we can only find in her imagination, and I'm glad she's picked me up for the ride. It was exciting and frightening all at the same time. Moments made my heart jump while others made me angry. As will all of these interconnected series, it was one thrill ride after the next. I can't wait to see what happens next.
INCARNATE: If anyone else is like me, I've been desperate for the conclusion to this series. I had hopes that the author wouldn't kill off the characters I loved most (because sometimes she does that) and couldn't wait to see if the last blink would change everyone's future in a positive or negative way. It was difficult enough leaving the series with Deegan Hart on the verge of disappearing.
In this last installment, Mitchell makes a decision that changes not only the past world they've been blinked into, but it changes the lives of everyone in his immediate vicinity. And what they bring back with them from his past earth could change the entire future.
This author writes the most vivid and realistic characters. Their reactions to their situations and surroundings are always blunt and sometimes crass, but they are entertaining and delightful, even when confronting the danger of their dystopian lives. I always feel as if I've been taken on the adventure of a lifetime with them, and this series was no different. Each volume was difficult to put down, and the ending was perfect and fitting for this particular adventure. I will miss these characters, and I hope she pulls one or two of them into her remaining dystopian adventures. I have to thank her for including us in the phenomenon that was The Death Series.
Nooooo 🙈 Its finished 😭. I didnt keep track of the pages and suddenly it was finished. I downloaded these for free (books 1 - 8) and they were awsum. I struggled with the dead zombies in the beginning of the book but got hooked very quickly with their personalities and the 😱 pieces of flesh falling off very quickly turned to falling in love with all the characters zombies and all. I loved the depth of the characters and the world building and the impossible gifts they have great sense of humour, the action and stress. Loved it. Loved it. Loved it. Couldnt put it down. Definitely a good read for anyone who wants to start with a new author.
This has to be one of the best series I have ever read. Action from start to finish in each and every book. Caleb, Jade and their gang of cronies. Then we have Caleb and Jade's children, Deegan and Pax. Zombies. The risen dead. The future and the past. The Graysheets. Partnerships. Pregnancies. Wow. What a ride this series was. Absolutely loved it. I will put this exact same review on each of the books in the series to show just how much I enjoyed it.
What an awesome series!! So well crafted!! Characters so well constructed!! Too many to name here. Anyone and everyone should read. I admit though, would love a female with the BOD capability. That would have created added awesomeness. That option is purely my own, however. Thank you Ms. Bridgett for creating a masterpiece of a collection!!
Love this series i found myself laughing, crying, pissed off, abd hqppy with the characters. The Boxed set of the full series is way to go, I would have freaked out if I had to wait to finish series!!
Normally not my choice of genre but I really enjoyed this series. Full of adventures, a group of kids with special powers growing up together in a future works.
