Freedom from Foresight's experiments finds Jonah teamed up with the Enhanced revolutionaries, struggling to find his place in a group that refuses to believe he's capable of being a hero. With Kayla gone, Jonah must learn to be more than Cosmosis. If he wants to save the revolutionaries from Foresight's Enhanced operatives, he'll have to become a leader.
This volume was definitely a fast read, lol. I enjoyed it even if Kayla was gone from the picture (and yet no resolution about Abbie). But the new kids were enjoyable, most of all Non (I keep thinking of the Kryptonian Non, but this is entirely someone else). The Cosmosis back stories were a good joke on the first issue of this volume, but having it on and on was just a waste of space. But I still did like the main story so much that I kept it with 5 stars. The flashbacks with Jonah’s mother were just delicious and so heart felt. I wonder if the writer had any personal experience with a kid with Down Syndrome. Everything felt so real, respectful, and empowering. I wonder how a kid with Down Syndrome would feel when reading a book like this one. (Read in single issues).
