Handsome. Dark. Possessive.
The adopted son of the illustrious Hunt family.
Unlike my pedigreed adopted family with their six generations of blue blood and privilege, I have street scum running through my veins—the blood of hookers, pimps and petty thieves.
And then I met Layla Taylor.
From the very moment she waltzes into my office.
All I can see is her.
I can't let her slip through my fingers.
I had to do something.
To please her.
To have her.
No matter how risky it is.
Including breaking my own rules.

LET THE CHIPS FALL!!!
Wow! Talk about hard decisions. This is one exciting, heart pounding, pulse racing, page turning bombshell that hits the ground running. All the twists and turns, ups and downs, along with a few glitches here and there make for one enjoyable experience. Throw in all the drama and suspense and you have one intense, electrifying tale that captures your attention until the last word. The characters and their personalities are so realistic and believable it feels you can just reach out and touch them. The scenes are so graphic and detailed it really pulls this little treasure together beautifully. You have no trouble picturing every scenario as it plays out perfectly. Timothy did an incredible job bringing this read to life flawlessly. Fantastic job Timothy, thanks for sharing this awesome read with us.

This is aChances story he was adopted by the wealthy Hunt family but the only one to treat him as family was Moran his adopted brother. Now he is determined to make something of his life without using the Hunt name We follow him along this path from Childhood to adulthood and there will be plenty of drama along the way Will the Hunt family including Morgan block his dreams or will they support him You will see as you read but be aware this books ends with a cliffhanger so you will need to wait to find out.

This is a deeply emotional story that draws you in and has you turning the pages as fast as you can you will need tissues and allow plenty of time because I guarantee that once you start you won't want to put it down Well done Timothy this is a masterpiece and I am looking forward to further books in the series

It was an interesting read for sure...Chance Hunt was adopted by the prestigious Hunt family when he was a young boy - yet he knew growing up that he would never have the expectations put on him as his brother Morgan did. After graduating Columbia he set out on his own for business and thought he scored the account and the woman with Layla Taylor...
It's not a very long book and really worth the read.

ARC's given to me by Author through Booksprout. My review is given voluntarily.

I gave this storyline 4 stars.

So this story is something a little different than what I'm use to reading, not as romantic as your typically simple love story boy meets girl!
The storyline does spread throughout all 5 books starting with the 1st book Flawed, 2-Bruised, 3-Corrupted 4-Dismantled and finished with
5- Crushed ....wowza!!!
This is the order of reading them you really must read all 5 they tell the complete story of the Saga of the Hunt brothers
This was quite an adventure intense storytelling with family dynamics heartbreaking, unforgivable betrayals, corruptions galore, really raw emotionally I did cry a lot, steamy sex, Chance does tend to flip flop from one woman to the other (which I didn't really like that much) the story as a whole might be a bit to long in my opinion I skimmed some sparts, but I have to be honest I did get hooked in story as a whole, and kinda binge read the books for hours.
Love, Forgiveness, Understanding, Family and Retribution does prevail in the end which I must say felt really, really good!
These books are cliffhangers, so you need to read all of them to get to the conclusion of the story. Each book is in-between 16-20 chapters. They each take you on a rollercoaster ride of ups and downs, twists and turns.
Overall I did enjoy them!

Wow Chance...you fucked up!!!

I can't believe Chance, is so naive and trusting when it comes to women. I could have seen Layla coming a mile away. But because he was thinking with the brain in his pants and not in his head, he got screwed royally. I tried so hard to feel sorry for him, but I just couldn't. I think that he has such a strong need to be loved and accepted, that it clouded his judgement. Chance needs to to buck up and stop being so vulnerable to a pretty face. He needs to take stock of his life and start thinking with his head. What Layla, and her dad/uncle, (whoever he is), was a damn shame. Hopefully in the next book he'll learn his lesson.

Twisted tale of a Billionaires adopted son

Great story of how a cold calculating businessman raises his "boys". Morgan the golden heir apparent and Chance the other child. Chance is never quite an official part of the Hunt family. Played by every woman he's loved effects him deeply. He committed professional suicide to follow his heart and Layla destroyed him.

A very dramatic, fast paced page turner for a nice quiet afternoon. Chance was an interesting character to read about as well as the dynamics of what made him the man he became.

This was a good read that I thought could have been better. Chance has plenty of emotional drama and turmoil to deal with and I liked that. Chance himself, was a likable character that was relatively easy to feel for. The story was fairly engaging but at times seemed to unravel a bit. Still, overall, I liked it and will be interested to see what develops in book two. This is my freely posted, frank review.

Merged review:

I liked this book with it's interesting characters, intense emotions and engaging plot. It is a shorter length read and honestly, I myself would have loved it to be longer. That would have increased the depth of the story and added so much more detail. I enjoyed the chemistry between the characters and found the difference between where Hunter came from and where he was today compelling. I am of my own choice posting a truthful review.

Book One Entices the Reader...
Flawed by author Timothy S. Allen is an excellent book one to engage the reader for the next book by providing a gasping hook for an ending.
Chance is an adopted son brought into the very wealthy Hunt family with a son named Morgan. They are close friends even though the patriarch treats them differently. Morgan is to and does take over Hunt Investments while Chance goes thru an Internship at another investment company.
His love life is lacking and predicated on his place in life which burns him and spurs him on to do things differently and without his adopted last name. How will he do this? Will Morgan support him or block him?
Definitely recommending this book for your reading pleasure and enjoyment. I am unassumingly leaving a review of this book for your consideration.

Wow. This is a really likable book. It has emotions, which I like. It's sexy, but not overly done. The author gives a backstory, which is also a huge plus.

Chance has had his fair share of disappointments in this book. He was adopted by a rich to do family, which was great. However, he was treated as so-an adopted child-not blood related by his adopted father. I felt for Chance and wanted to slap the mess out the the father. But that's not all this story line is.

Chance became a man. I saw an honorable man within each page I read. He, towards the end, did the right thing. It may have just costed him his career. Or did it?

I can't wait to get into book two. I need to know what's next.

This is the first book by Timothy S. Allen I've read so I had no idea what to expect when it came to his world-building or characters. The first book in the "Hunt Brothers" series is really quite riveting. Chance, the adopted son of Edwin Hunt, a ruthless, cold-hearted man, has always had a hard time fitting into the family dynamics and their pedigree. When he meets Layla things begin to change. There's action, adventure, a rollercoaster of emotions, and of course, a chemistry that is undeniable. This is a terrific beginning to what looks to be a great series.

This was a sweet and heart tugging story. Chance did everything he could to make something of himself without having to use his last name. Although he had a a great relationship with his brother, Chance's life would never be the same as Morgan. In some ways it would be better but in others not so much. This story keep you glued to each event and everything that happens to Chance. I can't wait to read more.

OMG, This book was so good. A short easy read. Full of drama and twists and turns. Chance had a rough start as a child. He was adopted by a wealthy popular family. He wanted to make something of himself without having the benefit of the popularity that comes along with his families wealth. Not everyone treated Chance like an actual family member which only added to the drama in this story. I definitely recommend this book. It was awesome!!!!

Since all the other reviews are giving you a synopsis of the book, I won't. I will say, Chance's life was not a bed of roses, he is trying to be a self made man. I thought he was a well developed, interesting character, and sometimes self centered. I'm looking forward to learning more about Morgan and Layla really intrigued me. Well paced story, page turner........not prepared for the cliffy :(

This is the first book of the series. It is about Chance adopted son of Edwin Hunt, a ruthless, heartless man. Chance has a hard time fitting into the Hunt family. He also suffers heartbreak early on. The story is told from one pov, his. It also goes back and forth, from past to present and has little dialogue. I like Chance, his character has merit, but it unfortunately did not capture my attention.

Chance has not had an easy life after he is adopted as a young boy by the wealthy Hunt family. Chance is determined to make a name for himself on his own and not rely on others. This is a good story with plenty of emotions, however, in my opinion only; the story felt a bit disjointed. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

This book was a lot different from the books I’ve been reading recently.

I loved how you could see straight into Chance’s head and understand his thought process, his struggles. You truly see him grow throughout the story. Chance want’s to make something of his life, and have his own control over it.

This a short, but also a very emotional book that’s worth the read.

Great start to a new series. Chance was adopted by Edwin Hunt and didn’t fit the pedigree of the Hunt family. He meets Layla and sparks fly. Fast paced read with plenty of drama and looking forward to finding out what happens next. A good read.

I was interested to read a romance novel by a male author. This author has great potential. There is a story here told from the male point of view so a little different. Interesting to read from the male point of view.
