What’s a girl to do when her body is possessed by the spirit of a crazy queen and her friends are prisoners?

Playing captive to the Queen of the Underground City is no joy ride for Lily. It only makes matters worse that Lily is a prisoner in her own body and trying to defeat the powerful soul of Persephone is near impossible.

Throw in the fact that both of her allies, Tallis and Bill, are chained within the dungeon of Alaire’s castle, and things just went from bad to worse. Oh, and Tallis is also now human and as such, basically useless.

Or is he? While in the land between lands, Tallis visits Lily and buffers her with his Druid magic to aid in the fight for her soul.

The most unlikely of comrades will be the answer to saving Lily for good but at what cost?

REBIRTH is the fifth book in the bestselling Lily Harper Series.

I’m a huge fan of anything paranormal and I always have been. I get super excited whenever they have those Twilight Zone Marathon days and anything ghost or vampire related will always attract my attention.

My interests are varied but aside from writing, I’m most excited about traveling. I’m extremely fortunate to have been able to live in England and Scotland, both places really having a profound effect on my books.

Thanks for checking out my books and I hope you enjoy them! Happy Haunting!

A boring book...

The first two books of this never-ending tale were good. But afterwards it seemed like a bunch of senseless short stories. This particular book is longer, but so boring. Very descriptive and, once more, it ends with "to be continued." The author made an amazing characterization just to destroy the main players. I was actually in pain while reading this: not worth the eyestrain. This is the last book I will read from this author. What a disappointment!

Did not disappoint!

Ahh finally a new instalment to the Lily and Tallis journey. I feel like I've waited a lifetime for this release, I despaired thinking the day would never roll around.
However, it's here, it's awesome ( as per usual ) and left me feeling ravenous for the next.
Please, please, please don't make me wait as long for the next one!
If you haven't started this series, seriously, you're missing out.

Persephone's greed may be just the key to getting to Lily back. Tallis convinces Persephone to drink his blood, which coincidentally contains his Druid magic, in order for her to become immortal. That is how Lily is able to force Persephone out and regain control of her body. Lily just has to convince Alaire that she's still Persephone. Meanwhile, she needs to work on an escape plan.

The fight isn't going to be an easy one. Persephone is still in the corner of Lily's mind. The answer to getting rid of her for good comes with a great risk. Lily will have to let Alaire possess her with the spirit of Donnchadh, an ancient warrior. Donnchadh gives her much-needed strength, but will it be enough to help her escape Alaire's evil clutches?

Lily Harper is back, b*tches. I couldn't put REBIRTH down. It is, by far, the best book in the series. So much happens in this one. Lily is in a really dark place, being forced out of her body by the sadistic, trashy Persephone. As if that isn't enough punishment, she has to be a silent witness to all the terrible things Persephone's doing. Thank goodness for Tallis. He and her guardian angel, Bill, are the only reasons she's still holding on. She will return and when she does, Lily will show them she's not to be messed with. For fans of the Lily Harper series, REBIRTH, is a must.

I really did enjoy finally finding out what was going on with Lily, Tallis and Bill. The story moved along with the majority of the focus on Lily who has to fight for control of her own body from Persephone. Alaire is still very much in control of everything that goes on and is not easily fooled. But the story does move quickly and we learn what Alaire truly wants and what happens when he thinks he has it. Tallis and Bill are always there in the background but toward the end they take over the story line. But again we are left with a cliffhanger and have to wait to see what will happen to all three of our heroes.

Enjoyable, but I miss the silliness

I first fell in love with the early books because I've never seen a book quite like the this one. I continued to read the next books because of the way the characters interacted. Here lately(the last two full books and the short story have lacked the playfulness of the characters I love. Hopefully the next one will return the lightness that has been missing for so long. As an aside, this series seems to be an after thought compared to all the others and I wish she would take the time to write this set as well and timely as all of the other series she writes.

DNF 20%

For a series that started out with a lightweight vibe, it got really dark, really fast. While I'm sure that happy endings will prevail, I am unwilling to endure the remainder of this book in order to get there. I was, for the most part, enjoying the series up until now but I wasn't invested enough that I am willing to see it through the darkness.

For those who loved the first few books, I'd say push through. I just didn't love them, so I didn't want to.

This is book 5 in the series, if you haven’t read the first four, I suggest you do that before reading this one. This one, like so many from this author ends on a mild cliffhanger, so be forewarned if that sort of thing bothers you. I did feel that for me the book started out a bit rough, and choppy but smoothed out nicely. The writing is good, the characters complex. The story wasn’t rushed. I really enjoyed reading Rebirth. I look forward to more from this author in this series and her other series. It’s hard to say which set I like best as they are all awesome in their own way.

Action and romance

Once again great book! I would have had this book read in 2 days like all the others but just had a baby. On that note I still slammed through this book every moment I got! You will not want to put the book down. Tallis and bill I love how their relationship is growing and that lilly has become so independent! Cant wait for the rest of all the other books to come out! Always a fan HP!!

This installment of the series is very dark. Lily is taken over by the spirit of Persephone, who uses her body in way that virtually amounts to continuous rape. Bill and Tallis are kept in Alaire’s dungeon and tortured to the brink of death, if only they weren’t immortal. Alaire orchestrated this whole ordeal and then seems to question his own affections for Persephone. There’s a lot going on in this book and it is hard to remain hopeful for Lily.

I was so excited to read this installment about Lily, Tallis, and Bill. It had been awhile since the last one has come out, so I went back and read it to refresh myself on what has happened.

You always hear that things always get worse before they get better? Well, I hope it's true for this unlucky trio!!

Great read!! I highly recommend this series!!

This book is amazing! You go through the story with Lilly, Tallis, and Bill telling everything they are going through as they try and free themselves from the dungeon they have been kept in. You have possession, and other twist through out the book. You see the dynamics of friendship and loyalty as you make the journey with them. Truly, a great read!

Wonderful, as always.

The series is coming to a head. Lilly, Bill and Tallis take on Alaire in this novel, all working on getting each other free, and working on themselves. Realizations, love and determination carries us to the end...a cliff hanger but I'm willing to wait. As long as Lilly gets a HEA.

Decent continuation of the series

The overall storyline was good. A little slow moving but held my attention. Hoping the next book wraps up the series and has as much action as this one did.

I don’t like doing reviews with spoilers so I just say, characters leap out of their comfort zones and ‘assigned roles’ in an amazing way in this book and I am left on the edge of my seat waiting for the next one!!!!

Great book-cliffhanger at the end!!!!

I really enjoyed this book. It is raw and gritty and violent and dark. There is a pretty major cliffhanger at the end. I'm looking forward to the next one.

I waited so long but so worth it

I think the asylum is my favorite part of help. It's so creepy and well written. I'm so glad that lily is starting to find herself. I love that don't need a man to save my ass heroine. I can't wait for book six.

Another Cliffhanger!

Ahhhhh!!! I thought this was the last book in the series. No! Now I have to wait for the next one to come out. I hope that doesn't take too long. I enjoy the characters and the story, but really thought it was time for it to end.

Compromised

Lily makes a deal with Alaire. He is to save Tallis and lrt him go. She would stay on with Alaire and be his. Yet Alaire releases Tallis but he does not keep his word. Will Lily stay or go?

Good story but seems to be dragging on, I've begun to lose sight of the original story.
Also repeats a lot. Author seems to get lost in minutiae.
