Oh, my...

Thank you, Tony, for the insightful look at the human side of the inhumanity caused by Nazi propiganda in WW II. I was born 4 months after the setting of this book and can only imagine the fear and terror endured by the innocents during this time.

This is a great story with all the elements I look for in stories cast during WWII. It takes place in the final days of the war when Germany is caught between the Allies on the west and the Russians on the east, The characters are well-defined and display all the elements depravity and human nature as all people are brought under heavy pressure. The main character, Otto, is traveling from west to east, and meets a number of interesting individuals as he makes his odyssey. The suspense is strong throughout the story, right up to the final pages. This is a five star book in every respect but one, it desperately needs a good editor,

The Devil's Blessing by Tony Hernandez was a good read. This book followed Otto who is forced to fight a war he doesn't want to. He was fighting for 1945 Germany. This was a story of survival even when it seems grim.

He does not want to fight in the war but he has no choice and the red army is coming for them. What would you do it you were in the middle of it all? How would you cope? See how they get on

Amazing and harrowing tale. This made me think of "Night" by Elie Wiesel. This author has got some real talent and I could not put this story down
