I keep hoping the other heroes will get it together, but it never happens. Why.

Продовження сьонен-ісєкая, в якому головному герою-попаданцю треба відбиватися від періодичних хвиль монстрів, а на заваді стають не лише вони, а й інтриги місцевих королівських осіб і інших попаданців. Власне, героя вважають нікчемним через те, що він може воювати лише щитом, і поганцем, бо він має при собі звіролюдину, яка у тому сеттінгу зазвичай мала б виступати у ролі раба. Ну, і збоченцем, до купи…
В п’ятому томі - чергова підстава. Героя Щита звинувачують у викраденні принцеси, рівень інстриги та інтриганів тут читається на раз-два, але ті, хто мав би зробити певні висновки, занадто або довірливі, або тупі. Розмови на пафосі в наявності, є кілька ефектних бойових сцен. З нового - з’являється бойова гейша, що начебто воює на стороні монстрів. Сильний і типовий персонаж для сьонена, і саме тоді, коли він потрібен - в момент знесилення героя після битви.
Загальні враження: читати все ще цікаво, бо є постійний ріст персонажа, але не вистачає неочікуванних сюжетних поворотів. Дуже не хочеться, аби все скінчилося банальним забиттям фінального боса.

Prota geht weiter seinen ganzen eigenen Weg und ist damit erfolgreicher, als alle anderen Helden zusammen und trotz aller Steine, die man ihm in den Weg legt. Schade, dass die Anzahl der kleinen Mädchen, die ihm im Kampf beständig begleiten zunimmt. Mittlerweile hat er zwar auch weitere "Gefährten", doch die spielen eindeutig eine sekundäre Rolle. Auch wenn mir dieser Aspekt nicht gefällt, so steigt die Spannung, was hinter dem Komplott, den Wellen und anderem steckt.

Oh! My! Fucking! Goodness!!! I really hate that princess! Now every soldiers want to kill Naofumi because Naofumi is "kidnapping" the second princess. That is not true at all! Thanks goodness, the other two soldiers are a little bit aware of the false rumours. I hope everyone knows what that princess really want.

Another good volume. The fight with Glass was so cool. Glass is the best antagonist so far. Just straight up strong with a mysterious motivation.

Die anderen drei Helden sind so nervig. Diese drei Idioten können froh sein, dass sie keine Ahnung haben, was mit Naofumi und seinem Schild los ist, sonst würde vor allem Ren endlich die Ergebnisse seiner Taten bekommen. Wer weiß, was diese Idioten noch zerstört haben. Diese Idioten glauben sogar der älteren der beiden Prinzessinnen, obwohl sie eine wirklich beschissene Lügnerin ist.
Und ich verstehe immer noch nicht, warum der Schild als so schwach angesehen wird. In diesem Band sehen wir, wie es ein Gefängnis bildet, das zu einer Eisernen Jungfrau werden kann, dieses Ding ist verdammt mächtig, warum sollte jemand eine solche Waffe als schwach abtun? Ich versteh es einfach gar nicht.
Und bei dem neuen Bösewicht kann ich nur sagen: Wir haben es verstanden, sie basiert auf der alten japanischen Kultur, man muss ihre Attacke nicht als "Spinnen-Top-Tanzform des umgekehrten Schneeblütenmondes" bezeichnen. Das ist übertrieben. Und so schön ihr Design auch ist, entweder soll sie der große Boss sein oder es handelt sich nur um eine übermächtige Schurkenfigur, die noch lange nicht auftauchen wird. Schwer zu sagen, aber so oder so ist sie derzeit viel zu überwältigt, um wirklich von Nutzen zu sein.
Ich kann nicht sagen, dass ich bei Naofumi nicht mitfühlen kann, er hat jedes Recht, auf den König sauer zu sein. Sicher, es ist dumm zu schreien und den König aufzufordern, vor einem zu knien, aber es ist verständlich.
Und ich verstehe zwar immer noch nicht, warum der Schild so als Waffe abgetan wird, aber immerhin bekommen wir eine Erklärung: In diesem Land gibt es eine Kirche, die nur die anderen drei Helden verehrt. Das erklärt ein wenig, warum die Leute so begierig darauf waren, alle möglichen Scheiße über den Schildhelden zu glauben. Einige Soldaten, die wir sehen, wirken sogar wie religiöse Fanatiker, wenn sie Naofumi als den Teufel des Schildes und so bezeichnen ... übrigens. Wenn so viele glauben, er sei im Grunde sowieso der Teufel, warum wurde er dann überhaupt gerufen und warum hat das vorher niemand erwähnt? Das ist ein bisschen seltsam.

The other three heroes are so annoying. These three idiots can be happy that they have no idea what is going on with Naofumi and his shield, or otherwise especially Ren would finally get the results of his actions. Who knows what else these idiots have destroyed. These idiots even belief the older of the two princesses despite her being a really shitty liar.
And I still don't get why the shield is considered so weak. In this volume we see it forming a prison that can become an Iron Maiden, that thing is fucking powerful, why would anyone dismiss a weapon like that as weak? I just don't get it at all.
And with the new villain all I could say is: we get it, she is based on old Japanese culture, you don't have to call her attack "spinning top dance form style of the reversed snow blossom moon". That is overkill. And as nice as her design is, either she is supposed to be the big boss or this is just an overpowered villainess that won't appear for a long time. Hard to tell, but either way, currently she is way too overpowered to be of any real use plotwise.
Can't say that I can't emphasize with Naofumi, he has every right to be pissed at the king. Sure, its dumb to scream and demand the king to kneel in front of you, but it is understandable.
And while I still don't understand why the Shield is so dismissed as a weapon, but at least we get some explanation: in this country there is a church that worships the other three heroes only. That somewhat explains why the people were so eager to belief all sorts of shit about the shield hero. Some soldiers that we see even come across like religious fanatics in how they refer to Naofumi as the devil of the shield and all... btw. if so many belief he is basically the devil anyway, why was he ever summoned to begin with and why did no one bring that up before? That is a tad odd.

Overall Rating: 7.5/10
I have been reading plenty of Isekais lately and this one is about a underated tank looked down upon and framed as a rapist, murderer, evildoer by his allies and those that summoned him. Its pretty much to the point, where the main character has to go through many obstacles and handicaps with the help of people that get to know him and believe in him seeing the kind person he is deep down. There isn't any fan service which is nice and the first female main character is one that truly develops into her own more than others.
Do I recommend it:
