Miss Grace Weston has read countless books involving courtship and romance. Putting her knowledge into practice, she offers her assistance in finding a match for her sister, declaring herself an expert in romance. She is well-read on the subject, after all.
When a bargain between sisters is struck, Grace is unable to resist a challenge. She must prove her expertise by gaining a proposal, one she plans to reject, from the man whose fleeting flirtation left her heart in ruin years before: Lord Ramsbury, the next Earl of Coventry.
But Lord Ramsbury's pride does not take well to rejection, especially when he learns he must marry to keep his inheritance. And so he undertakes a challenge of his own: He will change Grace’s mind. In a battle of pride and proposals, his heart becomes more involved than he ever thought possible. To win the battle and Grace’s heart, he must employ his most harmful weapon.
But what is so harmful about a bit of romance?
Romancing Lord Ramsbury is a stand-alone sweet regency romance, part of the Brides of Brighton series.

Step inside this book and enter this literary fiction journey with twists and turns. The story is built on a good premise, the characters came to life, and the conclusion was all you could hope for in a H.E.A. So based on these observations, I enjoyed the first and book of this series and look forward to reading the final book as well.
Wow! New author to me! This was so good! Like worthy to be turned into a movie good! The romance, drama, comedy, and the repartee between the hero and heroine in this traditional recency romance was so well written. I now have to read the entire series and hope they are all just as well written? This was the third book in the series and though I hadn't read the prior books I wasn't confused at all and this was totally standalone.
Language: No profanity.
Sensuality content: Traditional clean regency romance with only kisses.
This was another fun and sweet Regency romance from author Ashtyn Newbold. It develops the gentler side of Lord Edward Ramsbury, the character from the previous two books who's been breaking hearts and behaving rather badly. When his father threatens to disinherit him unless he marries soon, he nerves himself to the task and begins flirting with the first woman he sees, Miss Grace Weston. Little does he know, he and Grace have already met. Three years ago he paid her marked attention at her first ball and then never noticed her again. Both Grace and Edward have duplicitous reasons for carrying on a courtship, while everyone around them can see that they are genuinely well suited to each other. It's going to take a lot of honesty and a dash of humility for either of them to admit to real feelings, though. I found this to be one of those fun Regency stories that generally keeps you reading with a smile. The few anachronisms or stretches of belief didn't interfere with my enjoyment. Favorite part: When Edward shows up at Grace's house, having checked out from the library the exact same book she is reading, and he's all like, "Oh, I thought I might drop by and read with you." Best way to a bookworm's heart EVER.
Thanks to the author for a digital copy in exchange for my honest review!
I always enjoy Ashtyn Newbold’s Regency stories and Romancing Lord Ramsbury was no exception. This was a continuation of her Brides of Brighton series, this one featuring a character I didn’t particularly like from the previous two books, Lord Ramsbury. In that sense, I felt very much like our heroine Grace, who shared my poor opinion of the flirtatious and charming but shallow and insincere Lord who has a habit of breaking hearts and living life not in the best way (although thankfully he wasn't a rake, which would have made him almost impossible to redeem in my eyes). Even though I started the book not particularly liking Edward, the more I came to know him, the more I sympathized with him; he had a lot of pain hidden behind his façade that helped us understand why he was the way he was. As I began to discover his true character and witness his character growth, I, like Grace, grew to like him.
The plot of Romancing Lord Ramsbury was quite fun—a wager leads Grace to use her 'expert romance' advice she's gleaned from books in order to secure a marriage proposal from the man who broke her heart, Edward, who, unbeknownst to her, is only courting her because he needs to marry to secure his inheritance. Both are trying to woo the other, but both have their secret agendas for doing so, making their relationship initially a fake and insincere one. Even after the truth is exposed, Edward's pride won't allow him to let Grace go, and what follows is a delightful enemies-to-lovers romance that was free from meanness and was instead of two people learning to trust and understand who the other really is (which is the only type of enemies-to-lovers story I like). Grace is too stubborn to realize how suited she really is to Edward and that her initial dislike is deepening to more tender feelings, whereas Edward is afraid to love her in fear of getting his heart broken.
This was such an entertaining and endearing romance. Grace and Edward's interactions were fun and often quite humorous and charming. Their witty banter was supplemented with fantastic character growth and an adorable romance. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and am eager for the follow-up story featuring Grace's sister, Harriett.
Thrilling read for sure, but seeing the change in Edward and also Grace was wonderful. Miss Darby, however, deserves a good slap for her cunning and deceitful actions. I guess the happy ending of the other two serves her right.
2nd read (listen) was just as fun! I was sick of my current audiobook selections so got this from the library for a pick me up. I love Ashtyn Newbold books. Perfect for light and happy reads which is my jam.
I have been waiting for this book to come out! It finally did and I was not disappointed. I love a swoony hero that can compliment and sweet talk. I have enjoyed Lord Ramsbury in the other books on the series and was excited to finally see his HEA.
Grace had quite the tongue! She definitely gave Lord Ramsbury a run for his money. These two were a good match and this has been a fun series.
Now i have to wait for Miss Weston’s Wager to come out.
I LOVED this book! I was invested from beginning to end, and enjoyed every minute of it. The plotline of a wager + lost inheritance + reformed rake and broken hearts was incredibly well done and intriguing. There's nothing quite so satisfying as reading about two people so against marriage to the other who come to love each other. So so sweet. Grace was incredibly relatable. Not just because she's obsessed with books, but because her feelings and actions were believable. Edward was wayyyy too swoon-worthy, and I was secretly grateful he had a flawed past and pride issues--otherwise he would have been too good to be true! The dialogue was witty and sweet, I found myself smiling and even laughing a few times. Ashtyn Newbold is an incredible author and I can't wait to devour more of her books!
I really liked this! It was sweet and clean! It was like a Regency version of the modern movie "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days"...each trying to "woo" the other...but with their own secret agendas. Edward is proud...Grace is stubborn. This could never work out...or could it? The only reason I gave it 4 stars is that Grace is SO stubborn! I was getting a little vexed at the end and had to speed read to see if they ever would get together! So do they? I guess you'll have to read it and find out :)
I have a new fav author!! I loved the witty banter and chemistry between the couple! This story tugged at my heartstrings from the strong emotions of love and hate! I can’t wait for the next story!!
Another throughly enjoyable addition to the Brides of Brighton series!
Miss Grace Weston is determined to wheedle a marriage proposal out of Lord Edward Ramsbury, a man that broke her heart three years prior.
Due to an ultimatum from his father (marry or be disinherited), Lord Ramsbury is determined to woo the first pretty woman he sees.
This being Brighton, both Grace and Edward set off to the assembly rooms without delay to reach their goals. And, lo and behold, they run into each other immediately and embark on an extremely entertaining endeavor to out-flirt the other. When the truth behind their actions comes out, Grace would rather not see Lord Ramsbury ever again. Edward, having had his pride wounded, is determined more than ever to get Grace to accept his proposal. The more time they spend together, the more they have to reevaluate their feelings for one another. But, considering the deceitful start to their relationship, will they ever be able to trust each other completely?
Thank you to the author for providing a digital review copy.
“I know it is uncalled for,” he said, “but could you perhaps cancel your afternoon visit with your imagination?” She smirked. “My imagination will be very offended by such an act. So I’m afraid not.”
Ok, Ashtyn Newbold just won me over. It was a steady pull and tug as I've read and liked each book in the Brides of Brighton series. The others in the series have plenty to offer, and I found that each book was progressively better than the last. I would recommend this series as a whole with a solid 4 out of 5 star rating.
Romancing Lord Ramsbury is my favorite of the three books.
Witty, quotable, clean, fun-- I just smiled all the way through this book. I would definitely shelf this one as a possible reread. :)
Romancing Lord Rambury Brides of Brighton #3 By Ashtyn Newbold
Grace Weston has a vast knowledge of courtship and romance and she has determined that her elder sister Harriett is the perfect match for Mr. William Harrison. But Harriett has determined that her happiness is dependent upon marrying a gentleman with a title and a large estate of which Mr. Harrison has neither.
But her sister's reluctance is not a deterrent to Grace who agrees to Harriett's challenge that she romance Lord Ramsbury with her acquired book knowledge. If Grace could secure a proposal of marriage then she would agree to three meetings with Mr. Harrison.
Lord Ramsbury, Edward Beaumont, the future Earl of Coventry, is considered by all to be the most sought after bachelor in Brighton and the trail of broken hearts in his wake showed he was not one to be easily ensnared by marriage-hungry misses and their social climbing mothers. His disreputable ways have brought him an ultimatum from his father - marry and before his father's death and his position as heir to the Coventry title and estate would be restored. But his father's quickly failing health leaves him little time to court, propose and have his offer be accepted.
Three years prior Lord Ramsbury broke Grace's heart and earned him her eternal scorn. Now, Grace finds herself in a position she never expected - playing the simpering fool to Lord Ramsbury's attentions. But she has determined to break his heart by securing his offer of marriage and then refusing him in an attempt to show him that he can't toy with a heart without consequences.
But Lord Ramsbury isn't about to no for an answer and determines to convince Grace that he is more than the scoundrel who broke her heart three years ago. And as his title and wealth weren't an inducement for Grace to accept his offer he is determined that she accept him as himself instead. But can he win Grace's heart in time to satisfy his father's requirements or will his title be lost before Grace agrees to be his wife? And would a lord without a title or lands be enough to win any lady's heart? Only time will tell.
I've absolutely been waiting for this book. In A Convenient Engagement, Lord Ramsbury's proposal of marriage to Amelia was turned down and when he offered courtship advice to Philip Honeyfield in Marrying Miss Milton I wanted to know Lord Ramsbury's story as one could tell underneath his showy facade there was a caring hurting person hidden away. And this book was well worth the wait - loved it!
This was a clean Victorian Romance. Harriett, and Grace are sisters, who live in Brighton. Grace adores reading above all else, but this does not sit well with her mother. She feels her daughter should be married, and uses heroes in each book in comparisson., to any would be suitor. Harriett is tired of Grace pushing her towards a man she does not care for, because Grace is so sure her constant reading has made her wise, in love, and match making. She informs Grace that she will go into a wager with her sister, and actually meet the gentleman in question, but only if Grace can get the biggest, and most outrageous flirt, to ask for her hand. There are other additions to the wager, but this is the important part. Grace cannot stand the man. She must flirt with, and amuse, and pretend to admire. They have a past history, that she is sure he has no memory of. To complicate matter he also is being threatened to wed. I really liked the banter back, and forth in this one. I liked all the additional characters as well. He is aware of his past mistakes, and knows that he hurt her. She want to believe him, but the change seems very sudden. It was an enjoyable fast read, and explained the world, and rules of ladies in Victorian England. It was definitely a man's world once a marriage took place. It had a good ending for both main characters. 5 stars because it was a new concept, from the usual plot. I enjoyed the sisters, and his sister Juliette. It was not all hearts, and roses. The drama in the book, made it more believable.

This book was a delight to read! The playful arguments between Edward and Grace are so darling to watch unfold in this story.
I really appreciate how the author ties together every detail of what the characters need to learn into a lesson that flows in to their love story. Well written and a joy to read.

What a great read! I was so excited to finally read Lord Ramsbury's story! I was so intrigued by him in the first two books and enjoyed seeing him fall in love! Grace was a great heroine. Worth the read.
For me, this story took a while to get going, but once it did, I loved it. There is no insta-love because the two main characters actually get to know each other, which I appreciated.
Ashtyn Newbold has become one of my most enjoyed authors! I feel like a junkie desperate for a fix or at least what I suspect that would feel like. I encourage you to give her writing a try if you're looking for a good read.
Who hasn't at one time or another been hurt, and afraid to believe the person that caused it has changed? Even with sleep becoming I couldn't quit reading. A found great pleasure in discovering another side to Lord Ramsbury than seen I'm the previous book. I enjoyed the last one, but truly found this one even more appealing to my tastes.
A fun read and a satisfying ending. I very much enjoyed Edward and Grace, their interactions and personalities. This is one of my favorite books Ashtyn Newbold has written.
