This is a fantastic resource for choosing and expanding your color selections. There's a helpful introduction about color theory, if it's new for you, and then the bulk of the book is broken into color-themed sections like natural, retro, magical, etc. I like the photo references included (and the index for them at the back!), and appreciate that the palettes are broken into 'how much' of each color to include. I tend to end up always being drawn to the same types of colors, but this helped me realize that's not a bad thing - and also, that there are many more ways to combine those same colors. I marked the sections that really grabbed me, and plan to work through them to improve my art further. It will also be a great reference if I'm designing custom work with a specific theme or audience, outside my comfort choices (pastels, seaside, etc).

I would say I'm finished with the book. If you're looking for a book that doesn't just cover color theory and want some ideas of how someone builds color palettes including ideas of the percentages to use for each color. Palettes are 2, 3, 4 colors.

You see photos of inspiration and then a batch of palettes upon that theme. It's also a great way to try some new color combinations as well. There is a second book out by this same author also she has a website: color-collective.com

Perfect for designers or anyone looking for color inspiration for the home, etc. It starts with a small section on color theory before sharing thousands of gorgeous palettes, grouped by theme (Romantic, Delicate, Trendy, and more). I would love it if the book were spiral-bound to make it easier to stay on a page when working with a palette.

Credo che questo sia un libro molto interessante per chi si occupa di grafica o, in generale, ama il mondo dei colori. A parte una breve parentesi iniziale dove vengono presentati i concetti chiave dei colori, il resto è un piccolo “album” di palette che richiamano atmosfere e sensazioni differenti.
Avrei preferito qualche informazione in più, ma nel complesso è un volume piacevole, molto grafico e personale, in cui attraverso l’accostamento cromatico si entra a conoscenza dell’autrice che svela alcune delle sue scelte e strategie cromatiche più azzeccate.
