The Silver Swan: Book One
Riddle me this... "I am neither dead, nor alive, and I'm not something little Madison can hide. But you will be dead, by the time this is done... the timer starts now, and the games have just begun..." Madison Montgomery comes from money and power, but when someone close to her commits the ultimate crime, Madison must live with her tainted name for the rest of her life. When she begins Riverside Preparatory Academy, the private school her father has swept her into in The Hamptons, she hopes for a fresh start. What she wasn't hoping for was the pack of bad boys who run the school; ten, to be exact. When Madison gains the attention of their leader, Bishop Vincent Hayes, a whole new world that she didn't think existed is exposed to her. A whole world that starts and ends with The Elite Kings Club and these boys, are about to flip her world upside down. Secrets are overflowing and family lies are about to be exposed. Is there more to Madison Montgomery than even she knows?

The Broken Puppet: Book Two
"I thought I knew who I was, but I was wrong." The Silver Swan - 1. A girl who is tarnished. Tainted. One who does not fit into the confinement of legend. The Silver Swan -2. Madison Montgomery. I was lied to. I was cheated. Resigned to pick up the scraps of empty memories and disarrayed thoughts, I left. After finally cutting the strings of manipulation, I resorted to do what I've done since I was a child, something my father drilled into my brain since I could handle my first rifle. Run. I'm a mere shadow of the girl they all knew. Lies and deceit change you. They alter your entire outlook on life. I'm Madison Montgomery, and I want to play a game. Here's what happens when I win. Riddle me this, Mads. What goes bump in the night, but is something you can't see with sight? You may run, and you may hide. If by happily ever after, you mean Bonnie & Clyde.

Tacet a Mortuis: Book Three
Hail to the king, and watch him reign, this game was somewhat fun, until the finale came...Now we're here, with carnage and despair, and the only questions left to answer, are the ones that do not appear...A king loses a war, and a swan sheds her wings, chaos collides with peace, as the crows begin to sing...Enter if you dare, because I swear the end is near, but nothing is as it seems, and everything is so bare.So what the hell is going on at Riverside,I think, I think... everyone is about to die....

"As alluring as a floating swan, but as deadly as a silver bullet."

#1 The Silver Swan → 3 stars
#2 The Broken Puppet → 3 stars
#3 Tacet A Mortuis → 3.5 stars

Overall rating → 3 stars

It’s very early in the morning over here and I spent all of last night reading without even an ounce of sleep so sorry if I spew nonsense that doesn’t make sense

"The Silver Swan is, in old times, what they would call a tarnished being. Every girl born into the first nine is a tarnished being. It's no place for a her."

Madison has been uprooted from her life and is now living with her father and stepmother, which comes along with loads of secrets and a troublesome step-brother along with his band of bad boys – 'The Kings'

"They used me as their puppet. Now I'm broken."

As the books progress, more secrets are revealed and Madison keeps finding out more and more about herself. It’s a big game, and she’s in the centre of it, being used as a puppet of choice. But what option does she have, than to play along with their sick games of depravity.

"You never put me back together properly. You steal parts of me, so when you do put me back, I'm all crooked, cracked and still visibly broken."

Enter Bishop Hayes, the king of the kings, a mysterious boy whose entire life is shrouded in secrets. He trust’s no one, least of all her, but will a leap of faith be the best decision of his life?

"We've all lost our mind, baby, but that’s how we all found each other. We’re all lost, but we’re all lost on the same road."

There were honestly so many twists and turns in this book that I started to loose my mind. In the end, towards where they go to this city and stuff, I honestly felt that Amo even put a twist of paranormal in it. But luckily, she didn’t, I honestly would’ve lost my mind is she did.

Now, let’s move on to the interesting stuff:

✨ All 10 of the guys fell in love with Madison like they haven’t seen a girl in their life before

✨ Her fantasy of 'doing it' with all the 10 guys… together. Can’t imagine the involvement of the number of limbs over here. lets do the math, 10 people with four limbs each. Which gives us a grand total of 40 limbs. I can’t imagine a bed that big, so it’ll probably happen on a stage. gag. hurl. diarrhoea. I was so hungry, but this just killed my appetite. Add to the fact that I haven’t had my morning coffee yet, my life is a nightmare

sorry no wait, I just edited my review and realised that there are actually 11 people; 10 of the guys and the little brainless chicken ofc. Which actually makes it a total 44 limbs, i-

✨ Her kissing a different guy every single time she and Bishop fight. I’m sorry, but does kissing another guy magically bring him to his senses. EVERY SINGLE TIME?!?

✨ So, after all he does to her, ties her to a bark and shit, she just sleeps with him and doesn’t even ask why he went all serial killer on her. She was like a sex-starved psycho, to be honest. know who that reminds me of? Erika-fucking-Fane

✨ Bishop cheating on her with his ex (idk her name) who was sleeping with his father at that time. Now, there was not much information given on it, so I’m just gonna tell my poor, little heart that it didn’t happen.

✨ The triangle with Nate, Tatum and Tillie.

✨ The girl was a doormat. She literally let everyone walk over her and would sleep with anyone who even looked towards her smh

✨ No "romantic" part of the book made sense to me. Nor did the couples make any sense. It was like everyone was in love with everyone, with at least 4 strong cases of incest reminds me of Damon’s shit with Erika.

✨ The “fights” between any of the characters were childish and immature and were honestly hilarious bc they were just so stupid.

✨ Did I tell you guys about how I thought this one was paranormal at one point of time? No? here goes: So, they go this weird city where there is weird bitch queen with people called “lost boys” at her service. And these so called “lost boys” could hear voices. So yes, I had a full right to think it as fantasy.

✨ Did I mention that I hated to romantic aspects of the book? And how everyone was in love with everyone? Yeah, not my thing. No thank you.

✨ Where was the "high school" part of it?

Overall, a 3 star read for me. If you’re looking for a bully romance with plot twists at every turn and some bullshit in the middle that doesn't make sense, this one is highly recommended!

Not clear on where my actual review went so let me state again, I will no longer be supporting this author as of November 2020. She’s a garbage human for those that feel the need to message and ask me. She wants to control people and their speech. She doesn’t get to tell me what I can say and where I can say it. Same goes for her lackey Sarah (musingsofthelamb) though she’s renamed and “rebranded” Nah Sis, we still see you. To all the authors out there gaming the system on Goodreads and Amazon, our eyes are open to your scamming ways. Bullying readers and bloggers is not okay. Trying to control the narrative when you’ve fucked up and made yourself look bad is not okay. WOMEN TRYING TO SILENCE OTHER WOMEN WILL NEVER BE OKAY. Just don’t be a garbage human. I don’t understand why that’s such a difficult concept for people like Amo, Sarah, LJ, TJ, Charleigh. You’re supposed to be adults. Act like it and just BE BETTER. Either way, I’m done with them all and several more. I won’t support any author/blogger that thinks the behaviors of these elitists are okay and continue to ignore their bad behaviors or worse, joining in with them.

This series blew me away!

This is definitely a ride full of angst, suspenseful, and a very dark delicious steamy goodness you don't want to miss.

Madison never had it easy. After the death of her mother she moves and goes to a new school, and gains a new step brother Nate. Him and his friends are not ones you want to mess with. Madison wanted to keep a low profile but that never happens with the Kings. Secrets are being exposed, Madison discovers who she really is, and falls for the boy who hated her. So much happens in this series that will have your head spinning. I'm so excited for book 4

All the Kings are very hot in their own way. My most favorite is Bishop and Nate.

The Silver Swan. 5 stars!
This book messed with my head!!
Hatred has never sounded so good. The mystery and intrigue slowly built up until it got me to the point where my heart and mind were racing. So many questions I need answering. So many theories and reasons running through my mind. I kind of feel like Amo Jones took advantage of my complete confusion with this book. Every time I thought I maybe knew a little of what's what, she pulled another twist out her massive bag of fucked-up tricks and threw me off. I gave up trying to figure out how it was going to end and just held on and enjoyed the ride and I honestly loved every single second of it.

Madisons emotions and confusion are put across so perfectly that I couldn't help but feel this bond with her. Her confusion mirrored mine. What is the truth? Does Madison know? Does anyone know what the truth is? Her inquisitive nature and sassy attitude and mouth made me love her that little bit more and of course the fact she is NOT a doormat is always a bonus (and kinda expected from Amo's ladies). I'm not going into details about the other characters because you NEED to experience them for yourselves. I will say that I adored a few, I wouldn't kick any of them out of bed, there's quite a few I don't trust, some I hated at times, one in particular I want for myself ;) And sometimes I felt all that at the same time about the same person (again back to that particular one). I can't go into the story because if you've read this review this far you already know I'm so far from figuring it out that it's funny. The chemistry in this book is off the charts. I'm not talking about the actual nitty gritty scenes because we expect them to be hot. It's the other sexually charged scenes that literally had my kindle smoking. The sexual chemistry between the characters is palpable, it will leave you slightly breathless, a little bit flustered and feeling very hot.

You need to buy this book. You need to lock your doors, feed your kids/hubby/pets, make them have an early night, and then you need to read this book. Pull an all nighter if you have to but you need to read and experience this book for yourself.

The Broken Puppet. 5 stars!
Amo Jones has done it again. This book was everything I hoped it would be and more (if that's even possible).
If you're going into this expecting to get all the answers to what I'm assuming is a pretty long list of questions, then you're going to be disappointed. You do get answers but like you'd expect with this series, you somehow end up with even more questions.

This series is full of drama, distrust, suspense and intrigue. Its complex story feeds you little bits of information at a time, leaving you the clues to try and put it all together. There's an air of darkness to this story that I adored, I'm never quite sure who to trust. Is anyone who they seem to be?

The Kings are all very intriguing but I hold my hand up and admit I'm madly in love with Bishop. That man can do no wrong in my eyes. He's unbelievably hot. He's got this dark, mysterious vibe to him and there's something about him that really intrigues me. He's just so deliciously alpha and secretive that I can't help liking him.

Madison, I loved in Silver Swan and I loved her even more in this book. I find her very easy to relate to (probably because she was as clueless as I was as to what was happening some of the time). I'm #TeamMadi all the way. I need her to kick ass (don't know whose ass she's kicking but that's what I want to see) and get the answers to this riddle of a series.

Madisons step brother Nate is definitely another one of my favourite characters. He brings so much more to the story and I can't wait to get more from him.

I'm a massive fan of this author and this is by far my favourite series. The complexity of not only the story but also the characters met every one of my expectations. There's twists and turns galore, surprises that no one's going to see coming and all those hot men to lust over... Seriously what more could a girl want?

Tacet A Mortuis. 5 stars.
Tacet A Mortuis is the conclusion of Maddies and Bishops story so you do need to read the previous two books first.

After finishing the last book I was left with a load of questions. I was hoping for answers in this book. I feel like I should point out that whilst Tacet A Mortuis is the conclusion of Maddies and Bishops story it isn’t the conclusion of the Elite Kings stories so although questions get answered, expect to still be left with some that don’t. There’s so much information thrown at you, you’re going to end up with more questions by the time you get to the end.
This book is filled with twists and turns I didn’t see coming. It’s got deception, betrayal, angst and the sexual chemistry between Maddie and Bishop is hot as hell. Bishop has got to be one of the sexiest characters of all time. There’s something about him that gives me the best kind of shivers. His alpha take charge attitude, the sweetness he hides under his darkness, there’s just something about his character that I find insanely hot.

Amo Jones’ mind must be an awesomely complicated place to be. She’s taken me on a ride that was nothing like I was expecting. She messed with my mind and I loved every second of it. Over the course of the three books I’ve felt every single emotion possible. When I’d finished The Silver Swan I wasn’t sure what to think. My mind was drowning in confusion. The Broken Puppet helped to clear some of that confusion up but Tacet A Mortuis gave me the answers I was desperate for. Something clicked with me with this book and all the pieces started to fit together. People weren’t who I thought they were, there was always a reason for everything even if I couldn’t see what that was straightaway.

This is a wonderfully complex story with characters that all have something that draws you to them. Whether you love or hate them, they burrow under your skin and before you know it you’re obsessed. Another fantastic book from Amo and I honestly can’t wait for more from the Elite Kings.

This book is a massive angst filled roller coaster ride of passion, hatred, confusion, secrets and so many other things. This book is dark in the most delicious way and it speaks to my dark soul. Lol... I couldn’t put this book down and carried it everywhere because I needed to read it whenever I had an extra few minutes.

Could not finish

This book was very poorly executed. There was absolutely no character development or consistencies. One minute the character says she hates them then she goes on and on about how she knows she is supposed to hate them but she can't and she loves them even though she has only known everyone a couple of days. The timeline is so inconsistent. It was so hard to read

Enjoyable Read

An entertaining story (x3) which kept me fairly engrossed for a couple of days but not without issues, mainly annoying continuity problems that really should be picked up in editing.

I slogged through it. I am all about suspending belief for the book world I am spending time in but there were plot leaps that were way OTT. The author’s phrasing caused my eyes to roll several times...

“The comfort of knowing I could trust him eloped me, and I quickly nodded my head.”

And

“Obviously, Bishop was in the sharing mood, and that was something so rare, so unheard of, that I wanted to take it for complete granted.”

And
“But, I’m going to say that you won’t like it, but, I’m sorry.”

I can’t recommend this series at all.

A dark suspense series that will keep you reading late into the night! You will not be able to put it down!

The Silver Swan
So many secrets. So many twists and turns. This story will keep you formulating theories, asking questions and rapidly turning pages.

Madison has moved with her dad and his new wife. Oh and her step brother Nate. They go to a school for the priviledged. She realizes right away that things are different. Nate and his friends run things and have some kind of power. Bishop is the leader and his sights are set on Madison.

Nate’s friends are the Elite Kings, this mysterious group. Is it legend or truth?

Madison and Bishop have an explosive relationship based on mutual hate but it develops into more. What was only supposed to be physical starts to have feelings. However, Bishop only speaks in riddles but swears their chemistry is real. And holy hell do they have chemistry! But something is going on and Bishop and his boys are a part of it.

This story has alot more to be told and I am anxious to uncover the secrets of The Silver Swan.

The Broken Puppet
This story picks up right where The Silver Swan leaves off and I got sucked right into their world of secrets and legends.

Madison is running and hiding. She leaves the country with Tatum but after a few months, Bishop shows up to bring her back. Many more secrets to unfold.

Madison is reading the book but there is still so much to discover. She knows she is The Silver Swan, but she doesn’t know what that will mean for the future. Get ready for horrible past memories and unexpected family ties.

Nate and Tillie start a relationship but she disappears and I know there is a story behind that that I can’t wait to uncover.

I don’t want to give anything away! This story will keep you captivated and constantly questioning what’s next! Waiting for the conclusion of Madison and Bishop’s story is going to test my patience. A great read that kept me wanting more and the rest of the stories of each of the King’s.

Tacet a Mortuis
Loyalty Means Everything!
This story was everything that I hoped it would be and more.

The Elite Kings have so many secrets. The story has twists and turns. So much is revealed. Family is found and lost. A girl with no one to call family has found family through loyalty rather than blood. A story so beautifully written that it kept me enthralled from the very first page.

Bishop is KING for a reason.

Bishop and Madison need to sort through the crap to find their way. Nate is completely blindsided and is floundering. We finally get to understand Brantley. And we get to know more about the rest of the kings. Lots of surprises that took that I did not expect. Answers I had hoped to get. But still much more story to be told. And some of the scenes in this book are absolutely unforgettable. So much passion you just felt every emotion.

Oh what a tangled web. I tried to drag this book out to savor it, but in the end I just had to see where the author was going to take us. This has become one of my all time favorite series. I eagerly look forward to the next. This is a series you should not miss!

Disappointing

If I could give this no stars, I would. For so many people to have liked this book, I thought .99 cents was a great buy. It wasn't. The inconsistencies and mark of time was horrible. I felt like a kid wrote this book. Save yourself sometime by not buying this book. Get a sample before you get pulled into this headache!

The depravity and grittiness of these characters along with their upbringing lead to such an intriguing and consuming story line. It was incredible!

Tacet a Mortuis

This book is Fantastic...

What a beautiful, talented mind this author has.

This book is everything. I have had my questions answered that I had, I have some new ones but as we know this is a 13 book series and this book was the last of Madison and Bishop story although I am sure they will pop up in other books.

This book is so thought out and very well written. This book has it all Murder. Action. Violence! of the charts hot. This book was just brilliant. I love the chemistry between Bishop and Madison
To get inside Bishop's head it was intense and great to see what he was thinking in certain parts. I not going to go into the storyline but it carries on from where book two left us.

It will draw you in and you will not be able to put it down you will be turning the pages until the last to find out what is going happen.

I had a roller coaster of emotions while reading such an intense read... So if you are a fan of Amo’s this book is a must read if you have read the previous books. If not what are, you waiting for it really you will not be disappointed. However, please start with book one the silver swan. To fully understand these books.

I cannot wait to see what Amo brings us next plus the next book in this series.

#TacklingMyTBR #AmoJones #EliteKingsClub

So you are allowed to call me crazy psycho stupid AF...coz I started The Elite King's Club by Amo Jones straight with Malum. Yup you heard it right. I did exactly that..well I was never for rules. Much.

And so when I got time to tackle my TBR, I DECIDED TO START PROPERLY FROM BEGINNING. With The Silver Swan...annnnd BOOM ( INSERT BLOWING MY MIND INTO NUCLEAR WASTE GIF).😱😱💀☠🤯🤯🤯.
.
.WHAT THE EVER LOVING FUCK WAS THAT!? LIKE WHAT WAS THAT? I am pretty much sure I am not going crazy..I literally finished 3 books in two days!!! I NEEDED ANSWERS AND SHE KEPT ON GIVING ME QUESTIONS! I am not sure I like this riddles. No..Amo..no. just no. Madison and Bishop was everything Amo and more. Unhinged. Unglued. Messy. Chaotic. Poisonous. Toxic. Crazy AF. Hotter than Satan's balls. It was just a never ending cycle...pain, love, sex, suspense, death, secrets, psychotic bitches, MF Kings..and then on repeat. But she hit shuffle play every single time.
.
.
What I love about Amo's writing is..she doesn't care about judgement. She doesn't care about audience. She will let her characters play these evil mindF games and just set them free to cause all kinds of troubles. It's like she telling us.." listen up bitches, this is my world, these are my characters..now shut up and get on the ride and just take whatever I am giving!" It's like her mind goes to a whole new dark and twisted place and the beauty is she drags us right there with her. You have no choice. Yeah her stories scare me, turns me on and make me wanna question what kind of dirty filthy things I actually like. I will be shaking my head..." hell no that's too much even for me..." and Amo will be..." really? Are we doing this? So you don't like X did that to Y? " and I WILL BE SCREAMING " OMG YES MORE PLEASE!"

Yeah so she scares TF out of me but I love her for that.

The Silver Swan:
What the hell did I read?

Parts of this story felt rushed as if it was moving at warp speed and jumping the plot. Almost high schoolish. And then magic happened. I was sucked into this storyline that I need answers to the millions of riddles.

Well played. I'm now off to find out more of this elite society. I can sleep when I'm dead apparently.

The Broken Puppet

I must have thought it would be a good idea to start this book in the middle of the night because who needs sleep right? I can sleep when I am dead and dead I might be if I keep giving myself a head concussion for the emotional rollercoaster ride this series is putting me on. I get a few questions answered and then BAm 30 more pop up in its place. I am not sure if this author is a genius or a sadist. I am going with the latter and if that is the case then I most assuredly am a masochist because I am really loving the hell that she is putting me through.

. Now on to part three after I go to the store to get another bottle of wine because the half bottle I have will not be enough.

Tacet a Mortuis (Whispers from the Dead)

What in the holy hell?

I am rarely at a loss. Especially, when it comes to books. I like to think that years of pursuing a degree in Literature has helped me fine tune my skill of being able to dissect text and decipher the hidden meaning. Yeah... It didn't work that way in regards to this series. This book had more pieces and players to any puzzle or game that I have seen or played. So many secrets and twists. I am still not sure what I read or have answers to all my questions. All I do know is that Bishop and Madison's story is over. I do not understand completely what the point of them being predetermined was but I do know that these two were hot than a Vegas sidewalk in August. Madison had her moments but Bishop? Sweet lord. He in all his growly behavior was A GOD. The steamy moments had me needing a more than one shower.

This story left on a whopper of a cliffhanger. The twists don't seem to be stopping anytime soon. I am glad the next book is out but I am a little worried knowing that it is only part one of Nate and Tillie's story and Part two isn't out yet but I would have an easier time giving up coffee then not continuing this story.

I’ve been hearing so much about The Elite Kings’ Club Series by Amo Jones for what seems like forever, and all I can say is just wow! I flew through the first three books, The Silver Swan, The Broken Puppet, and Tacet a Mortuis, and Jones completely consumed me in these as she took me down the rabbit hole with Bishop and Madison’s mysterious, twisted, and oh-so-steamy romance!

This might sound odd, but I really don’t want to go too much into the characters because trying to figure them out made up such a large a part of the story. Along with Bishop and Madison, there were many intriguing secondary characters including Madison’s friends and the rest of the Elite Kings. They were complex, often deceiving, and even those that I liked I wanted to strangle at times!

Bishop and Madison’s story was steamy and addictive with its many moving parts and resulted in a total binge-fest read for me! It really put me through the wringer, and my stomach was in knots of anxiety the whole time wanting answers. For those that might be familiar, I would say that it had a feel to it like Erin Watt’s ‘The Royals Series’. It also takes place in a wealthy high school setting with the Elite Kings having so much power, but I would definitely consider this story way more intense and twisted.

This was such a crazy and exciting ride provided by Amo Jones! I’m actually a little torn on my rating because I enjoyed it so much and it was quite a thrilling read, but there were quite a few editing errors and details that didn’t really match up and left me having to backtrack as I read. However, none of them were enough to sway me or leave me able to put these books down for a minute!

Although I can’t wait to dive into Nate and Tillie’s story, which is out now in Malum: Part 1 (Elite Kings Club #4), I will hold tight until the second part is released on June 4th. With the way Jones wrapped me up in Bishop and Madison’s story, I really can’t imagine how I would deal with her cliffhangers!

If you enjoy dark and twisted romances and series reads, the Elite Kings’ Club Series is definitely one to check out!

4 Stars for Me!

The Silver Swan~
Intrigue, Mystery, Secrets, Drama, Twisted, did I mention Dark... This book pulls you in and refuses to let you go. So many twists and turns, you can't help but keep reading to see where the story ends up. I love books that challenge me and my thoughts, this one does it masterfully. When I got to the last page, I couldn't believe there wasn't any more. I'm still processing what I've read and am about to rip through The Broken Puppet. I have mixed feelings because I know there will be another one after that which isn't out yet, but I NEED to know what happens next.

The Broken Puppet~
I had to read this right away to try and get more answers after reading The Silver Swan. While I did figure some things out, I think, I am left now with more questions than I had before. If you love books that worm their way into your mind and soul, try this series. To say the Kings are intense.... understatement of the year. Do they have secrets.....more than you could imagine. Did I eat up every word, eager for more.... absolutely! I need Tacet a Mortuis, please don't make us wait too much longer!

Tacet a Mortuis~
Finally, like hanging out with old friends. I couldn't wait to start this story, but knew I had to because once, there was no way I was going to be able to stop until I turned the last page. I was right.
The third in the series, this one is the last told from Bishop and Madison's perspective. Do we get some of the answers we've been stewing over? Yes, and it was definitely worth it when those pieces clicked into place. Are there just as many new questions that we're itching to have the answers to? Of course. But I will say, this is the King's at their best. I cannot wait for the next one, Malum (Evil), to come out. It's going to be a long and agonizing wait, but without a doubt, it will be more than worth it.

2 DNF Stars

Read the first and skimmed the rest awhile ago but forgot to review so this is going to just be a rant.

Okay books, I love Amo as a person but I feel as if she tries too hard to make her books darker and sexier, and really it just grosses me out and makes me cringe. The MCs were all just okay, there were some hot times, but everything was so overdramatic and too much drama, and I felt as if this was a bad Penelope Douglas series, not that I'm a fan of her books either.

Making so many books for a couple drags it out and makes me less interested, then she goes and makes the couple break up in a later book. And we have yet for them to get back together because Amo is currently working on different books, so the wait is annoying and not worth it. She's dragging the characters out and every book of hers lately is all repetitive and the exact same, especially this and her new Mayhem series, legit the same characters.

I'm also not into the sharing or multiple partners when you have feelings for each other, which pretty much is in every book of hers, an example of her trying to make it sexier, unsuccessfully though. She even likes to put a cherry on top and add some cheating in her books, which these had a bit of, or does it just count as sharing?? Either way, i hate it. After her newest book I don't think I can read any of Amo's books again. Too much stuff with other people, sharing, cheating, overdramatic, VERY repetitive in ALL her books, and honestly, besides the covers which are gorgeous, there is nothing great about her books or the writing. Officially cutting this author off my to-read list.

I have no idea what to rate this. The first book could have easily been a 4.5 - but the rest of the series has made me feel like one of those people you honk your horn at because they slow down to 10 mph at when they see an accident or a cop. So many editing mistakes, so much jacked up crap happening, I have no idea why I finished the rest of the books yet I couldn't stop reading.

For everything that I loved about the first book, I couldn't stand in the rest of the books. I cannot get past them only being 17-18 years old. Way way way too much adult shit for a teenager in high school.
I could have dealt with the secret society. I could have dealt with the outlandish barbaric idea that the cult doesn't girls and throws away boys that are not perfect. But murdering classmates, parents always gone (who does that when you know your daughters life is in jeopardy?), running away to different countries and working as a stripper as a teenager, way too kinky sex for a 17 year old girl (or the boys for that matter) made me feel like I was reading some secret date rape culture. As much as I love a broody, dark guy - these guys took it way past the extreme - and they are in HIGH SCHOOL.

And for the LOVE OF ALL THINGS HOLY MADISON READ THE DAMN BOOK!
Everyone kept saying the answers are in the book. It was obvious the answers were in the damn book, but yet she still never read the damn book and just let the boys string her along.

Ugh. I feel like I want my days back after reading all this.

Book 1

A secret society among the rich; betrayal, lies, lust; and a storyline that has me curious is what I got reading The Silver Swan, Book 1 in the Elite Kings Saga.

Madison Montgomery is slightly annoying but that’s understandable considering her age. Bishop Hayes runs hot and cold. Their relationship is questionable. Neither of them seem trusting and they definitely have secrets.

So many questions without answers makes me curious for The Broken Puppet.

Book 2

Picking up where The Silver Swan ends, questions get answered but more keep popping up. Pace is slightly quicker. The relationship between Madison and Bishop seems to move to more solid grown. But just when you get comfortable, a twist and the unknown gets thrown in. Hopefully finding answers in Tacet a Mortuis.

Book 3

As Tacet a Mortuis begins, we get something a little different - Bishop’s POV. And while it was refreshing to get his side, it didn’t ease my dislike for Madison and her immature reactions to things going on around her. I wanted to pull my hair out and maybe that’s my age showing. I do have kids older than her. The thing that kept me most intrigued were the secrets. I kept reading to unravel them all.

This is one set of books that sucks you in, and leaves you asking WTF after you come out of the book coma. Madison and Bishop are the main relationship focus in this book with lots of secondary characters to be given their own stories later. Madison has had one heck of ride up until she meets Bishop. However life becomes a mind altering trip after meeting Bishop.

Madison starts out more naive then anything. When the Kings come to play she gets a fast pass education into just how dark life can get. Her push and pull with Bishop is tough to watch because I just want them to have a HEA. We learn through the books just how hard of a life Madison has had and how much she has had to overcome. It puts things into perspective as we learn just how much pull the Kings have in the world along with all the dark alley deals that go on to stay on the top.

Amo pulls us into a world that shows just how much power so few have in this world. There are so many plot twists that I had to read twice to make sure I followed it all. The best thing about this set of books I was able to lose myself in the story in a way few authors can accomplish. I can't wait to read Malum with Nate and Tillie's Story.

Oh good lord.. I can’t even with this series.. what a utter mind fuck.. I absolutely loved it!!
Amo has a way to pull you in and suck the life out of you and leave you standing there thinking WTF!?! *and she will do it with a smile on her face*
I absolutely loved Bishop and Madison.. Bishop is a complete A$$hole but that is why I loved him.. and don’t get me started on the rest of the Kings.. I mean I would take a Bishop / Nate / Brantley Sandwich any day..
Madison moved to town with her dad and new Stepmom.. and she then meets her new (and oh so HOT stepbrother Nate..) Nate’s friends are the Elite Kings, this mysterious group.. Bishop is the Leader of the Elite Kings.. and he has his eyes set on his new Kitty..
This book (or series for that matter) has it all.. Secrets, Drama, Mystery, Lies, Deceit.. I could not put it down.. I got the box set a while ago and when I saw that Nates book was coming out I dug into to this series… There are so many twists and turns, you don’t want to stop reading.. you just need to see where the story goes..
I def recommend this series.. if you love dark and twisted..its a must!!

A 3.5

This book captured my attention and kept it. Sometimes for the right reasons, the interesting story and wanting to find out what was going to happen and sometimes for the wrong, to find out if the loose ends would be tied up and to see if Madison became likable. Alas she did not. She was petulant, self indulgent and at times completely selfish. She would have a spat with her, whatever Bishop was to her and her first response on sever occasions was to kiss and or more with his friends. She also had "the book" that she dragged halfway across the world, knew it contained vital information to help her process some of the secrets she was whining about wanting answers to but didn't bother finishing it!! Huh I think most would have devoured every word on the flight there.
Also there was no real concept of time. It's would go from a rough sex session that left her bruised to her wearing see through or revealing outfits and no one, not even her (when they could be bothered bring there) parents asked if she was ok when she looked like the survivor of a vicious attack.
