Redemption #2

Chase Calloway

Rate this book
I've been named LA's sexiest and most eligible bachelor. I'm filthy rich, live in a house on the beach, drive a fast sports car, and I do a job I love. My hobbies include partying and beautiful women. A lot of beautiful women. They adore me because I'm charming and fun, until I walk away, leaving them crying on the floor and begging me to stay.  I can have any woman I want with the snap of my fingers, except for one - an incredibly beautiful woman named Kinsley Davis. She isn't affected by me in the least. In fact, she wants nothing to do with me, and I can't figure out why. After all, I am Chase Calloway. She'll be tough, but I'll break her. I'll get her into my bed, leaving her so satisfied that she'll become addicted, and when she does, I'll break her heart. It's what I do best. It's all I know.  I'm incapable of love. My fears run too deep, and they keep me in control at all times. My life was all fun and games until the unthinkable happened, and I'm left with no choice but to face my greatest fear of all. Chase Calloway is told from two different points of view.

This has to be the worst hero that this author has ever written. #sorrynotsorry.

This pathetic heroine who has gone from a cheating bastard to a possible std ridden ass who wakes up with a different woman every night.

He wasn't celibate after chasing the heroine. He got a hickey from OW while everyone and their mama has to see the damn hickey including the heroine.
He takes the heroine to dinner and flirts and accept drinks offers from waitress in front of the heroine.
The only good thing is the heroine kicks him out every time she has sex with him but she quickly falls for his ass.
The first time they have sex the condom broke and I was cringing thinking of the std that this woman must've caught sleeping with this ass. And guess who gets pregnant? Apparently the piece of shit is man enough to f*ck anything and everything but can't take responsibility for his baby. He doesn't want to be a father and doesn't want any part of the child's life and is going to give money to the heroine for her to take care of that child. For weeks he made the heroine believed that he was signing the papers to relinquishing his parental rights but he didn't and all of the sudden he wants to be this kid's father. IMO he should have just relinquish his parental rights because this kid's doesn't deserve a father like him.
The fun part is that this fucker won't ever change, how do I know? He was flirting with the nurse when she was about to give birth to his son. Nice right?
16 years later his son is the exact same replica of him. Juggling 3 girls at the same time.

One of the worst heroes I've ever read.
The guy is a womanizer who has no respect for women and uses them and discards them as trash. Too disgusting!
His behavior is despicable, and I doubt he will stay faithful because at the time of delivery he was flirting with the nurse. WTF!
Our heroine is an idiot for accepting him back after he denies their son. He wanted to give up rights to the child and hide fatherhood from all to carry on with his life as if nothing had happened. What a coward!
I wonder what happened to the other expired condoms he used and how many lost children he must have out there.
What a crap he did and our heroine accepted it all.
She deserved better. Maybe not, for being so stupid!
And the son by the way will follow the same way of the father. A womanizer asshole prick.

“I won’t go out with you because you’re a walking STD.” She smirked.

“Rough night last night?” “Actually,” I grinned, “Alania was a bit rough.” “I can tell by the hickey on your neck. How old was she? Seventeen?” Her brow arched.

“She does not, Lexi. Maybe she doesn’t know what to do with me. After all, she’s from a small town with probably no experience at all. Maybe that’s why her boyfriend cheated on her.”

He was a playboy who flirted with anyone of the female gender. I could never trust him, even if we did get into a relationship.

“I don’t want to be a father, Kinsley. Not now, not ever. Fuck! How did this happen? You took the morning after pill.”

“Yes. This baby didn’t ask to be created and I sure as hell am not turning my back on him or her.” “I hope you understand that I can’t be a part of this.”

I couldn’t call my friends because they were never to know that I was the father of Kinsley’s baby, and I certainly couldn’t tell my dad. I was on my own with this one. As long as Kinsley stood by her word, my life wouldn’t change and no one would ever know.

“Because you’re selfish and the only person you can love is yourself.”

But just because I forgave him, didn’t mean I had to be his friend. That was something we’d never be again.

Chase Calloway is boring. I mean it. A real bored. Miss Lynn fails to bring his story to live. The whole plot is so flat that for the entire book, I feel disconnected with the book.

The conversation is immature. The conflic being kept minimum. Everything is just bored.
I want to like the book more than 2 stars, but sadly it just fell flat.

Near the end I just had to put it down. What is it about this book? Yes! I know now!

Look at the cover. Seriously, I mean it. Blow it up and look. Take a good long LOOK!

And that's about as good as it got for me.

This was, in my opinion, a very boring romance between a small town girl who relocates to LA and a playboy manwhore who seems to think he is god's gift to women. Nothing happens here that you would not predict. The dialogue between the two is pretty average if not tedious. Thing happen too easily for the heroine after she moves to LA. The hero seems really dense and two dimensional. And I beleive what killed it for me was the lack of buildup.

It was just too flatline for me. From her moving to THEM and their HEA.

An enjoyable read that made me laugh.

Omg I haven't read a Sandi Lynn book in ages but I was so curious about this one and of course I had doubts the minute Chase Calloway appeared with his POV and for that I'm so thankful that I got to know and read how he is as a character. At first, I like where the story was going and at the same time thinking that I didn't like him at all. But, rest assured I could have rated this lower but with this story you'll surely laugh and enjoy Kinsley and Chase working hard vying for some attention 😂 but it’s definitely a good enough fun read.

H is a bastard no doubt about it but what I don't understand is why the h gave him second chance so easily. She left her old life behind because her Boyfriend cheated on her then here she is with a manwhore who disrespect her, says hurtful things, flirts with women in front of her, wants nothing to do with the unborn baby, not only flirts in with nurse during delivery but tells h to push and SOON YOU'LL BE HOLDING YOUR SON. Not OUR SON BUT YOUR SON.

This tells he hadn't accepted this new life and his son somewhere in his subconscious mind.

How could she trust him and leave him alone if he flirts in front of her abs says it's his default mode.

H was no trophy husband.

Wouldn't she always be suspicious and live a miserable life?

To make matter worst son is a bastard just like his father who has no respect for women. He has sister. How would he feel if some guy behaved like this with his sisters. I think he'd beat the shit of them. Parents fault. He needed some though love.

Atleast h was strong and didn't jump in the bed the first chance she got but she forgave him too easily.

Oh Chase Calloway you drove me crazy. He had no clue what he wanted. He kept saying that he did not want anything more Kinsley but he was constantly contradicting himself. It took Chase awhile to come around on what he was looking for but he finally did. When he did I was glad the steps he took to make a better life for Kinsley and himself. This was a quick enjoyable read.

This author has fast become one of my ‘one-click’ authors and this book did not disappoint!
Kinsley Davis brushed off the dust of her small Indiana town, when she caught her bf in bed with her bff, and headed to CA. Always a go-getter, Kinsley found an apartment and a temp job at Calloway Tech almost immediately. She’s also sworn off men and vows to make a better life for herself. That is, until she meets her boss’s son, Chase Calloway.
Genius programmer and ultra playboy, Chase Calloway makes no excuses for his player ways...he loves women, period...and they love him. That is until he meets his father’s new temporary PA and she barely bats an eye at his overtures. And just like that, the pursuit is on! Over the next several weeks, a tentative friendship begins between Chase and Kinsley, which eventually becomes a friends with benefits deal. Kinsley starts to fall for Chase but he has sworn that he will never be in a relationship. A surprising turn of events leads Chase to examine his feelings on relationships and for Kinsley. Will there be an HEA for this duo? Great story with fun sub-characters...enjoyed this so much that it’s a def relisten! When I listen to an audiobook, I picture the characters in my head...and this narration duo did a perfect job in building the characters!

Not my favorite by the author, this is a one of those fluffy silly-ish romance books. There really isn't any angst, the hero Chase is a bit of a douche. His character is so over the top with the schtick. The h is alright, nothing really deep going on. I gave it an extra star because the book is free on KU, and the audio (Savannah Peachwood and Aiden Snow) is free on audible escapes.

Simply Amazing

Sandi has done an amazing job yet again.

Chase Calloway is a sexy hotshot who runs Calloway Tech with his father. As people call him the manwhore of California.

Then we have Kinsley Davis a small town girl from Indiana who had dreams to move away to California but she put them on hold because of her boyfriend Henry.

One day Kinsley went to her boyfriends house to surprise him for his birthday only do discover him in bed with her best friend. It tore her apart left his house and packed her bags and left for California. Kinsley tried to wake her mam to tell her but no such luck so she left a note to say she was leaving but not saying where.

Upon her arrival in California she had nowhere to go but she got into a cab with a very nice driver witch his aunt has a motel for her to stay. On Kinsley's next day she went car hunting and applied with a temp agency.

On the Sunday she received a call giving her a temporary job in Calloway Tech. On her first day with the company her paths crossed with Chase Calloway witch she had no time for him and his charms.

They spent more time bickering at one another and saying harsh words to realize that they had some chemistry. He seen her in a club dancing with some stranger witch he was jealous. He approached Kinsley to talk to her but told the other guy to sling his hook and punched him but got punched back. Kinsley brought Chase back to her Patti put ice on his eye then one thing lead to another and they slept together and while making love he realized that his condom broke and he went home to find them expired.

A little over a month passed and Kinsley discovered that she was pregnant with Chase's baby when she told him he wanted nothing to do with it. But Kinsley relieved him roof any rights.

This is such an amazing story to read I would love to spill more details but I will leave the better parts for now.

Let’s talk about Chase Calloway. He is rich. He is arrogant. He is cocky. He is gorgeous. He is never going to fall in love, or so he thinks. Chase has run off many of his father’s employees due to his playboy ways. No woman can resist his charms. The only problem is, they want more than just a one and done. Along comes Kinsley Davis, his father’s new temporary PA, and she throws this arrogant man for a loop. He’s never had to work for the attention of a woman in his life. Kinsley has been hurt and she has no plans to get hurt again.
The dynamics between Chase and Kinsley were so fun to read and the chemistry between was undeniable. Chase can’t stand it when the tables are turned on him. At first you will think that Chase is the biggest jerk, but when you discover why he is the way he is and uncover the layers and watch him change, you will swoon!
Sandi Lynn delivers another hot and swoon worthy 5 star read!!

Two very sad stars.

I never thought I’d ever give such a low rating to Sandi Lynn. This is an author who I not only read out, I contacted her for permission to use her words in my book.

I didn’t like Carter Greyson, so I wasn’t excited to read Chase’s book. But I thought, “this is Sandi Lynn...” I was sadly, so very wrong.

Let’s start with contractions, or the lack of them.

Then grammar errors.

Let’s start with grammar. “Me and Kinsley got this.” Editing mistakes,

Chase ... Oh you will love him

Cheese Galloway is the ultimate playboy who tends to use woman and leaves broken hearts all over California.... He has reasons for not waiting to get attached to anyone ( mommy issues) but he is upfront and honest with every woman that he is with... His bff Lexi knows him and relishing he is a manwhore..lol until that one comes along and changes everything.
Enters the beautiful Kinsley who has had her heart broken and been there h### and back and is now in California and trying to reinvent herself and make something of herself and is not going to be sidetracked by any gorgeous playboy either... Or is she

Great read and I love Sandi's books!!!

Kinsley walks in on her boyfriend having sex with her best friend. She has had enough and she is finally going after her dreams. She leaves for California without looking back. It's not long before she runs into Chase. Womanizer, flirt and all around douche. He has never met a woman who didn't fall at his feet but Kinsley is giving him a run for his money. She refuses to fall for his charm but sadly it's no long before she is falling for him also. Knowing the kind of man he is she still jumps into bed with him. I did enjoy the fact that she tells him to leave as soon as they are done though..lol
I know some of the other reviews make Chase look worse than he really is. Yes he has his moments but he doesn't come across as bad as they make him out to be.

disappointed

I don’t know how this book is part of a redemption series. Obviously, Chase Calloway was in no way redeemed. He brought his son up to be exactly like him. He didn’t learn from his experience and he didn’t teach his son to respect women at all he taught him that women are only here for his pleasure and then tossed away like yesterday’s trash. I like Sandi Lynn’s writing for the most part but it does bother me that she always starts with her hero being a total asshole and the heroine has to bear the brunt of his idiocy. Of course, the woman is always too weak to walk away and ends up forgiving the jerk. In most of her stories, the men appear to change their ways and grow up. That doesn’t happen in this book.

Ha Ha , I had to read this because reading other reviews made me want to read about this awful hero. I guess the author explains his POV on relationships 80% into the book. It sure takes a while. Meanwhile he is such a tool!

I don't see the heroine as being a doormat at all. In fact, I really enjoyed her ability to roll with the punches.

When he commits he is all in. Obviously an attractive, womanizer finds it difficult to shut down advances from keen eyed women such as in the delivery room but I think that was the author having a bit of fun. It's not that serious a read. Just your typical good girl meets bad boy etc story🙃

I am really enjoying this Redemption Series. Book one had a lot of depth and deep emotional moments throughout. This second book has a great storyline, growth, regret, forgiveness, strength, steaminess, humor and a mix of emotional depth as well. Book two brings me back to more of what I think of when it comes to Sandi Lynn’s writing...however I really enjoyed Grayson’s journey as well.

“I fell in love with the idea that someone could actually love me.”

I loved the strength, friendship, loyalty and honesty of the characters. I’m hoping some characters in this book get their own story. I’m not ready to let them go!

Good read

This book was a cute, charming story.

Chase Calloway, is a womanizer, who avoids any emotional attachments with women, he just enjoys casual sex. When he meets his father's new secretary, Kinsley, he's met the one woman who doesn't want anything to do with him.

Kinsley knows that Chase is a womanizer, having just been hurt from a relationship, she avoids his charm. Chase sees something in the fiery, independent, blonde and he won't take no for an answer. But when she dismisses him after sex, he finally feels what he's been doing to others when he's done with them.

A must read!

Ok how do I start, I love Sandi Lynn, I have read all her books but I think this one main character chase was really annoying and pushy. And don't get me wrong I understand he has trying to get the girl but there was some times I wanted to yell, on the other hand the story line was great and the character development was good, so by the end chase did not seem so annoying. Kingsley was a very strong independent character I really liked her... overall I think this was my least favorite Sandi Lynn book, but it was not a bad read..... mixed feeling.....

A billionaire playboy who couldn't commit due to what he experienced during childhood

A childhood genius was really full of himself when it came to women. A man who only cared about finding a woman for the night and that was not a problem ever!! Until one day when he met a woman who kept turning him down someone who new just how to push his buttons. She was not only smart but a strong woman that kind of read right through his actions. Read their story and it just might put a x smile on your face.

Loved it

Wow Chase Calloway had me all worked up. Kinsley was so strong and grew up independent with rough life. I would of never put these two together. Chase was rich and smart. Loved the ladies and didn't respect loving relationships. I'm so glad to find out he just needed help finding true love. Kinsley showed him what love meant. I love how we watched their love grow in this book. Good as always! Must read

Chase Calloway

Seriously, an amazing story! Men who feel like one night stands are the way to go, no plans to settle down, find someone to Love. Kinsley is hired as a temp to work at a company that Chase co- owns. Unlike most women, she doesn't fall to his advances😊. Funny, flirty, seriously intertaining, will make you sad, but in the end, renew your faith in the heart, Love, beautiful story❤️. Enjoy!

Another winner by Sandi Lynn

Another winning romance from Sandi Lynn. She makes you fall in love with sexy alpha self centered men. Chase needs a strong female to make him realize exactly what he wants. Kinsley is the challenging woman who steals Chase's heart and together they find the life neither of them thinks they want. A book you won't want to put down until you're done. Sandi Lynn does it again, she never disappoints.

Sex only.... really?

Wow, Chase and Kingsley’s life couldn’t have been more different but the same. I know that doesn’t make since but you have to know the story. They both lost a parent to drug addiction that effected their lives decisions for ever.. they overcame the fears and believed in each other and had a wonderful life. This story is amazing I decided not to spoil but you will definitely enjoy the read I did.
