Okay, so this book got me much more interested in this series. But it took 62% for that to happen. The first 62% seriously was damn near for nothing. Not a lick of anything important happened. There was a little bit of smut but no sex. And there was a part with some howling wind. That was seriously it.

But then you hit that 62% mark and shit absolutely hit the damn fan! It got insane. Everything was like a whirlwind throwing things at you that you were not expecting but kind of wanted to happen before that 62% mark. And that's why I can only give this three stars. Even though this one was muuuuuuch better than the first, it still took too long to get anywhere.

From the very first page of the first book you know the reason for the whole series. And that's that Sophie needs to get to Elowen because Mother Nature is forcing her to. But you don't get anything during the first book or the first 62% of this book that has to do with that quest. Seriously, I'm not kidding. It took the whole first book and over half of the second book for the storyline to start finally playing out. Hopefully now that the ending of this book was absolutely insane the third book will be much better.

Sophie and the guys set out into the woods to find Elowen. Mother Nature seems to have a beef with the mage, and will not let Sophie divert from the plan despite all the fun she is having getting to know the guys. Along the journey, we find out more about Valor's past with Elowen and finally get a glimpse of what Jonas has been hiding. When the group finds Elowen, things don't quite go according to plan and it is a big surprise when it is revealed that

Ah, we make so much progress with the big picture plot, only to have it turned on its head. I am not complaining as it keeps things interesting! Sophie has collected quite the group of vulnerable guys, each one has a special place in my heart. I can't wait to see what their next move is, especially given that ending!

Though sometimes predictable, the book was good one.

Continuing from where book 1 left off, this book is better read as a part of the series and not as a standalone. For those who read it as a standalone might not enjoy the book as much as those who read it as a series will.

The plot & characters are engaging and keep you on tenterhooks through out. A good book 2 in the series and 1 know most people will enjoy.

Omg sooooo good. There's something about September’s writing that i'm all about.

I love all these characters so much. There's normally at least one that irritates the living hell out of me, but they are all so precious

So much emotion in this book but I can see how people would find it a bit boring but i love the slowness of it all.

It sucks that Jonas is still being a ass but it makes so much sense why he's being one.

I really love Valor, the angry broken ones always gets me.

The scene with Hagan, Sophie and Cary was hot as hell and so well written that it didn't feel dirty at all. It was funny without it trying to be.

Totally see so mm in the next book ( maybe Cary and Valor *One can only wish)

Poor Sophie Mae really gets screwed over ( not in the good way)

Jesus that ending!!!

Cant wait fort till May to find out how everything gets wrapped up.

Wow, what Valor did there at the end of the book to the group was not right at all, he was such a sweetheart throughout the book then he had to go ruin everything!! Even though im happy that Hagan got some peace for his bear, Valors actions were uncalled for. There was so much angst and conflict in this book, but the story and characters are so good!! Cant wait to read the next book!!!!!!!!!

Yaaasss!!!!! 💥🎆💥 🎆

Ooo this is was so much better than first book and I really liked the first book.

Hey to start things in the beginning Hagan is still healing from the beating he took from Louis. So they have waited to go to Elowen until he can move. With that Hagan, Cary, and Sophie’s relationship has grown significantly into acceptance of each other and their predicament.

Valor and Jonas are still around but Jonas is still being the rear end of a donkey and Valor is punishing himself for all he did without his conscience.

As things progress we find out that “Mother” actually isn’t Mother Nature but something far worse and its goal is to in fact inflict harm on Elowen than to seek help from her. We also learn more about Elowen and Valors relationship. How twisted it was.

Elowen isn’t some wonderful mage who enjoys helping people. She is what we would call a necessary evil 😈. But she isn’t exactly evil either. But she definitely doesn’t do anything out the goodness of her heart. She deals in favors and apparently she twists the favors kind of like a genie 🧞‍♀️.

And then to discover that Jonas defies all logic when it comes to his magic and can break through Sophie’s abilities, with extreme physical toll, was amazing. I liked Jonas regardless of his donkey ways but I like him even more.

Of course Hagan and his mating call is getting stronger and stronger. And with a little help from Valor things hit a breaking point and shatter like nothing has ever shattered before.

This so not your average boys meet girl, girl falls in love with "all" the boys and"just can't make up my mind" and then boys-girl form a Reverse Harem. (I know long explanation, but worth it, I promise). First off, Sophia is a magical null on a mission and her guys are all magically broken some how but all need her because of their brokenness **Warning approaching possible spoiler**
She doesn't form a romatic relationship with all 4 of her guys, though she does with 2; she doesn't even like 1 of them the majority of the time. This dynamic of mostly strangers coming together and feeling this connection between them, but not all of them feeling the connection the same, I really like this concept. By getting the benefit of varying characters' prosceptives on their growing feelings and struggles toward, not only Sophia, but each other, you start to see more depth of the characters. It is a nice change that I didn't even know I appreciated until I saw it was an option in the RH-theme. Definitely a story a eagerly look forward to following

In the second book of the series, Sophie and the men are on a quest. Mother Nature wants them to find Elowen. What will happen when they find the mage? Will they be safe from her magic? Will Mother get what she wants?

I found it interesting how the author was able to make each of the males very distinct. I was especially intrigued by Valor, the vampire. At the beginning, he was so withdrawn and penitent. You could sense the horror he feels at his past actions as he tries to atone in the tiniest of ways in all his actions and reactions. Hagan was also a surprise, especially at the end, but I won't ruin that for you.

The book has some issues with grammar, punctuation, and usage, but they do not distract from the story. If you enjoy steamy RH fantasy, this book could fill the bill.

What A Twist!

I am really enjoying this series, though I'm a bit worried about where this is going sexually. I'm personally not a fan of men engaging each other in sex, and I'm already getting a taste of it happening. It's not too bad yet, but if it gets more so, not even the plot can keep me reading. Other than that, it really is a good read, aside from the frequent errors, that is. Way to many errors continue to pull me out of the story. I wish I could get more of a feel of Elowen. Is she really bad or just hurting from the pain Casek put her through? That encounter felt rushed and unfulfilled, but this book out a lot in perspective, and it does a good job at furthering the plot. I'm overall impressed and look forward to the next book.

The reader gets a couple of really good revelations in this second book. It leaves you ready to read the next one right away. It was fun to read the second part of the adventures of Sophie, Cary, Hagan, Jonas and Valor. In personality, more people should be like Sophie as far as how she sees the humanity in others and treats them all like they have value. The what happened during a scene of the ending was pretty cool, can't wait to find out what happens when the characters all realize what actually happened that night...

So nothing is what it seems “mother” or Mother Nature that she grew up believing was inside her calling all the shots… well that’s not exactly the case.

They had to hunt down the witch that her vampire use to be belong to for 60 years, he’s nervous and warns them that even if she does help them there will be a cost.

There’s challenges on the way and once they met her things get really interesting. The male witch friend who doesn’t trust witch’s ends up going into our girls mind and after they share a bond as only he could understand what was going on inside her.

The last chapter is spicy with all 5 of them and our bear plays a big role! 😉

Sophie is use to her life being turned up side down by Mother but what happens when Valor, Hagan, Carrigan and even Jonas gets stuck in the cross hairs.
This is one exciting adventure where not all is what it seems to be. There are plenty of emotions both past and present. The multiple POV's allows for the story to be told from all sides with reactions and thoughts to events that would be missed other wise.

Watch Out World

September stone is an author that is going to shake the reverse harem world. She is writing at a level that competes with the most popular author's of this genre.

I did a review on her first book of this series with the ARC program. It was such a fantastic read I naturally had to fit her second book into my crazy reading schedule. It's that good.

Readers be warned. This is the book that will keep you up to the wee hours of the night just because you can't put it down.

This is book 2 of the Twin Rivers Possession and this is an amazing addition to the series. Sophie must do mother nature’s bidding her guys are magically broken and they are all still on their quest to find Elowen. There are some twists and turns and I liked how all of the male characters were different personality wise, it’s just a great story and I can’t wait to read the next one especially with the way this book finished. Wow this is a fantastic story and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

I enjoyed it hagan still my fav

Sophie and her men find elowyn and discover everything sophie thought she knew was wrong its not mother nature showing her the way and doing her bidding through sophie its much much worse... leaving sophie clearly heartbroken and devasted at all the death and anguish thats been caused thru her. On the plus side sophie bonds with valor and jonas sees sophie in a new light. This is full of excitement and action. The relationship between sophie and jonas is funny as they so much alike bout stubborn arses.

This was marginally better than the first book only because there was actual plot going on in half of it.

There were still the same issues of misspellings and unedited sentences; the author even got Hagan’s name wrong in the chapter POV page.

The plot did take a turn halfway through the book for the better. We actually see the motives of Mother and how it’s been affecting Sophie, along with what the rest of the series looks like after the big twist in this book.

I’ll read the last book just to see how this all turns out but some of the characters are feeling a little dull for me.

Valor leads Sophie, Carrigan, Hagan, and Jonas into the enchanted woods to find the mage who can free the Lost River. Mother Nature pushes Sophie to the extreme - but not all is as it seems, and the secrets that are unveiled could be shattering for all of them. This book follows seamlessly from Fire possessed, and I found it hard to put it down! I am looking forward to more from this amazing author

4.5 truly--I love this book! I think the characters are vivid and each have their own thing going on, a and I think the powers are interesting and mostly different that what I usually see. The end with Hagan also super subverted my expectation of what was coming.

ALSO the twist I DIDN'T SEE COMING (probably because there was no groundwork laid for it, but that is OKAY! )(for this one time, and whatever other time I deem defensible).

Witches and vampires and shifters and telepaths OH MY! 🥵✨️

I'm talking reverse harem that just gets spicier the longer you read 🌶

The TENSION 🔥💀👀

Solid 4⭐️ rating instead of 5⭐️ just because I personally think the spice is stronger than the story, which if you're after that HERE YA GO! 📖

Hot. As. Hell. Though. Read this trilogy, I'm immediately starting the next one ✌️

Great

Relationships are building and getting stronger in book 2 and Sophie definitely needs it with the big revelation that happens. We also get to see Jonus isn't a complete tool. I can't wait to see how Valor is going to feel when he realizes what he did at the end of the book. Not so sure it's a bad thing but he went about it all wrong.

What Just happened.

Omg omg omg. What Just happened. Ok so that was awesomeness. I foresee that there ending. It was hot and awesome. I'm so sad about the whole possessed by an evil spirit thing but I'm glad that means they won't have to deal with mothers crazy wants for the rest of sophies life.

I really liked this story, the idea of a witch that negates magic near her was interesting. I also love to have all the different view points of the characters. However, I do not like cliffhangers, it would be better to just release one large book, not a bunch of small ones.

Love it!

Ok, ok.... this book take all the twisty, dark stuff from book 1 and morphs it into a plot that shakes the narrative and changes the game, quite literally. I won’t spoil it for you, just say that I KNEW something was up with that darkness... and Valor is going to be in so much delicious trouble after that final chapter!

Better then book 1

I was hesitant to start this book because I didn’t love book one. It was only okay. But this one was much better. The story was much more interesting and the character development was great. It wasn’t a perfect story, it had some slow or disappointing parts (for me personally) but I still enjoyed it and will read book 3

Interesting read

18+ readers only
The story continues and the heat is high enough to melt magma and of you are worried there won’t be as much action, let me reassure you that isn’t an issue.

This is definitely not “family friendly “ but it is an excellent experience and continuation of the series.
