The final arc of Mo Du didn't disappoint! I'm not sure if I fully followed along with everything since there was so much going on, including a lot of references to the previous cases or things that happened in the past and were only briefly mentioned, but I thoroughly enjoyed the ride.
**Warning: Spoilers Ahead**
Luo Wenzhou and Fei Du's relationship takes a backseat to the conclusion of the story. All of my built up questions from the first two books were resolved. Most importantly, I've been dying to know who the Reciter is. Turns out it's not just one person but a whole network comprised of individuals related to victims of unsolved crimes, not unsimilar to Fei Du's own network of spies and helpers. They're lead by the previous lead of the Picture Album Project, Fan Siyuan, who is marked as dead on paper but is still alive. He's continuing on with his revenge against the evil criminal mastermind organization, who as we learn is actually headed by *gasp* the Criminal Bureau's director and his older brother. I knew there was a mole among the police but didn't realize it would be at such a high level.
Pretty much a lot of stuff goes down, Fei Du almost gets himself killed when he puts himself into a situation where the Reciter can and does easily kidnap him, which consequently almost gives Luo Wenzhou a heart attack. But all's well that ends well :)
This is definitely my favorite Priest novel to date. I'm going to try another book by her next, since why not, so let's see how that holds up.
