I won this book for free through Goodreads Giveaways. Thank you to Goodreads,
Like: - Enjoyed the story more, the more I read it - The family drama: a bit typical but it works - Reading about the couple’s day to day life - enjoyable, sweet and fun - Sweet cute contemporary romance - A short fun read to temporarily distract my from my life
Love: - The characters have good chemistry
Dislike: - The main character at times seems very niece, but other times well versed in the world - oddly disconcerting - The money storyline - weird, awkward, and doesn’t really work
Wish that: - There was more background information at the beginning — it feels like I was thrown into the story 30% of the way through
Overall, a short, fun, enjoyable read. While there were some issues with the family drama and money dynamics, I liked the contemporary romance aspects. I would recommend it to people looking for a quick escape from day to day life.
Georgiana is a woman with a plan. She goes to work for the Prime Minister of Great Britain as an intern. The last thing she's looking for is for a loose cannon like Zane. He's been taken care of and somewhat controlled his whole life and is looking to break out and have some fun.
Georgiana is drawn to him but knows that she could loose her job. Zane isn't looking for a relationship after he's finally broken away from his keepers. They somehow find a way to start getting into each other but there is a secret that can destroy everything they have.
This is a great read and it has some very memorable parts that will touch and amuse you. The book is a must read in my opinion and it is warm. They are two worlds apart but find a way to make it work!
This was a cute but cheesy story. At first it seemed like Georgina was a bit of stalker to Zane before she arrived to the internship, but she didn't end up being one. Georgina and Zane are drawn to each other despite their differences in their life styles. Georgina uncovers a family secret that changes her life forever and I enjoyed this part of the story more than anything else.
I loved this book! I love all of Emily Evans books and although this one was great, it wasn't my favorite. I felt that it moved along a little quickly and abruptly. But it was still super awesome.
I was disappointed in this series. I love almost all of Emily Evan’s books so I had high expectations for these too. I feel like the story lines for all of them had such great potential but it just fell flat.
