Team: A.L.P.H.A.: Six battle-hardened alphas with one goal—to save any omega in peril
Pax is the mysterious, faceless hacker the team turns to when their usual sources fail--and he likes to keep it that way. But when one of their information requests ends up with his bunker being raided by the cartel, they’re the only ones he can turn to.
Zeke Dempsey is raw, rough, and utterly unprepared for the lipstick clad spitfire that suddenly bursts into his life, claiming both his heart and his dull knife. He always thought finding your true mate made the whole falling in love thing easy--he couldn’t have been more wrong.
Pax’s past hasn’t given him any reason to trust anyone, and just because Zeke’s his true mate doesn’t change that. Can Zeke unlock Pax’s fashionably armored heart amidst the distractions of fighting the cartel, rescuing omegas, and meeting Zeke’s family?
This is the fourth book in our top-selling series, but can definitely be read as a stand-alone novel. You can expect to find naughty, knotty scenes of steamy passion, along with a lot of potty-mouth language and some violence. No humans were harmed in the writing of this book—unless they kinda deserved it. HEA definitely included, intended for 18+ readers only. Seriously, would you expect anything less from Susi Hawke and Crista Crown?
I'm a total fan of M/PREG Paranormal Romances, first and foremost as a reader. I'm excited to share my own omegaverse(s) with you. What's not to love about adorable Omegas and the Alpha men who love them? If I'm not writing about men sporting baby bumps, I'm definitely reading about them!
I'm a native of Las Vegas, NV, so I'm pre-wired to love everything weird ~ although I don't find any kind of love to be weird. I'm a cis woman who's been happily married to the same lovable lug for 18 years. We have a 16yr old son, well, at least I think we do? Either that, or we have a ghost that eats all our food and uses up all wifi playing xbox while screaming into a headset.
As a new author, it's been amazing to find the amount of support that I've been given from readers and my fellow authors. Feel free to message me, I love to chat with fellow readers. Am I a reader? Heck yeah! In fact, I'm never certain that I can completely trust an author who isn't a fellow bibliophile.
I will try to update here when I'm doing promotional parties & chats. I usually do those on Facebook. If you haven't already signed up for my newsletter, you should totally do it! I only send out NL's to announce new releases or important announcements. I also like to note in my NL what I'm currently reading along with a cover shot and the link for anyone who is interested.
Hacked is the fourth book in Susi Hawke and Crista Crown’ Team A.L.P.H.A. series. I discovered this series when I listened to the audio version of the first book in their Alphabits series and learning it was a spinoff from this one, well I had to grab this audiobook when it became available. These omega Mpreg stories have been so much fun, I’m glad I found them.
Trust me when I tell you that the books in this series are easy to enjoy as stand-alones. This is the first one I’ve listened to and I had no trouble following along. Ms. Hawke and Ms. Crown do a fabulous job of explaining who all the different characters are. They explore the dynamics of the members of this group of Alphas so I could figure out the various relationships and get a real sense of the team… it just makes me want to go back and read them all.
Hacked has a fun storyline, but what I liked the most was that the bulk of the book is about the relationship between the two main characters. Zeke is completely wonderful the way he reacts to Pax. From the moment they meet, Zeke embraces Pax’s idiosyncrasies and goes out of his way to show he accepts him. These two are great together and I’d be happy to get a whole ‘nother book about them.
Colin Darcy does the narration for the audio version of Hacked and I’m impressed with the variety of voices he brings to these characters. There are a large number of different guys in this group and Mr. Darcy gives life to each and every one of them.
an audiobook copy of Hacked was provided to me for the purpose of my review
3.5/5 I'm really enjoying the plot that's developing through the books, but the time skips or the scenes that are cut short really put me off. Like the birth scene was way too easy like it happened and done; all the action scenes are cut short or skipped, I get that it's mainly about the couple, but a little bit more context and action wouldn't be bad.
Book Four in Team A.L.P.H.A. And we have Zeke and Pax.
Zeke is one of our sexy twins that we have on the team. He finds out his mate is our secretive computer hacker Pax. Pax and Zeke are total opposites. But the faiths wouldn't put them together if they weren't each other better half.
To say that I didn't recognize the Zeke in this story would be an understatement. Of course, that was after Pax, his newly realized mate, was holding Zeke's own knife to his throat. Maybe that changed his outlook on life?
Pax was certainly a handful, but well worth the wait!
I did have one complaint though... didn't anyone else want BABY NAMES? Seriously? I realize that there was chaos abounding, but this was details that needed to be known... just sayin'!!!
I really enjoyed this one, I couldn’t wait to see Zeke fall :) Pax was a quirky character who suited Zeke perfectly.
There are a few times when time is skipped forward where I would have liked to know a little more, it seems a few big life changes happen and we miss them but the authors soon catch you up. That’s my only criticism :)
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
This is probably one of the better books in this series. Pax has great snark. My complaint is all the alphas act like they become the same person once they find their mate.
I really liked this book and loved the connection between Pax and Zeke when Pax finally let down his walls and Zeke earned his trust. Yes, Pax was a complete a*sehole to Zeke most of the time and so defensive but it just made him work that much harder to earn Pax’s trust. I loved how Zeke totally didn’t bat an eye that Pax was the way he was and that he loved feminine underwear and clothes as well as wearing makeup. I also loved that Zeke saw behind Pax’s walls and defence mechanisms to who he actually is. Since Pax hasn’t had to rely on anyone pretty much ever, finding his fated mate wasn’t in the cards for him. I definitely think that Zeke needed a mate that doesn’t take his shit, is unpredictable and loves to threaten him with his own bloody kn*fe as he’d be completely bored otherwise, plus he finds when Pax holds the kn*fe to either his b*lls or throat really hot. I loved how Zeke explained to Pax after he told him that he’s completely broken, Zeke told him that he’s not broken but if he is he’s definitely kintsugi which is Japanese art where they mend broken pottery and add gold to it to make a more beautiful piece from all the brokenness. I loved seeing Pax’s confidence grow throughout the book. Pax is so fearless with a don’t fu*k with me attitude and so incredibly smart but he was extremely stupid going with Team A.L.P.H.A’s on their raid of the Cartel compound when he was due to pop out Zeke and his twins in couple of weeks but it made the story that much more funny and interesting, especially when it’s your mates twin helping with delivering his niece and nephew. I’m looking forward to reading Ezra and Cain’s story and I’d love to get to know the adorable germaphobe Jonah since he’s finally been reunited to his brother after trying to find him for 10 years but then he’s going to kind of lose him since he’s Ezra’s true mate.
I love these guys and what they choose to have ALPHA stand for. They go out and fight the good fight and protect Omegas and those who are hurt.
Pax is a master hacker, and he has often helped Jonah, AKA Whale, who is the Alpha's tech guy. When his help gets his bunker raided by the cartel, he knows he has to run and to go get help from Whale and his team. What he doesn't expect is to meet Zeke, his mate.
Zeke is one of the Terror Twins on the Alpha team. He likes to interrogate people in slow and painful manners and he and his twin are fierce fighters. When the flamboyant little hacker Pax rushes in, Zeke immediately realizes that Pax is his mate. When he rushes over and grabs Pax to smell him better, Pax grabs Zeke's favorite knife and holds it at Zeke's throat. Pax isn't going to just be claimed, and if it's going to happen, it's going to happen on his own terms.
I just simply adore Zeke and Pax. Pax is flamboyant in the best way possible, and really only needs one name, like Cher. Zeke is very careful, once Papa P sets him straight, to try to take care of Pax and to let Pax take the lead. He has very strong walls and is incredibly disciplined. I really enjoyed reading Pax and Zeke's story.
So, after reading book 3 in the series and being annoyed with Zeke and Ezra I had thought I wasn't going to pick up their books, but I'm a fickle creature and ultimately decided to listen to this one and I'm glad I did.
I was gladly surprised by how much more I liked Zeke here. He was definitely my favorite of the two. I loved seeing how his little Omega had him all twisted around his little finger. Now, Pax, the Omega, was another matter altogether. I was so frustrated by him, he was such an annoying little twatwaffle and I wanted to shake some sense into him. I totally got and respected that he had a hard life until the moment he came across Team A.L.P.H.A. and he was used to being on his own and depending on himself only, but he was such a prickly little thing, even when Zeke proved himself over and over and over again.
Unfortunately, we didn't see that much of the case they were working on, so there wasn't all that much closure in that respect. I hope it will be continued/finished on book 5.
The narration wasn't as good as with the previous book, but it was still enjoyable and entertaining. I loved Colin Darcy's rendition of Zeke's voice, but the rest of the characters' voices felt a bit stilted.
I had a really hard time connecting with Pax in this one. He just didn't have enough redeeming qualities. I understand having a rough life and being protective of yourself but he was just mean and cruel a lot of time. As angry as I was with Zeke from the previous story, I felt bad for him here. I'm glad it all worked out in the end but it bothers me that no one took Pax to task for the way he was acting. If someone treated an omega the way he did Zeke they would have been furious. My irritation with him made it hard to enjoy the story.

Another thrilling fated-mates tale, with a bit of a twist! I love Pax!!
This is another book in the Team A.L.P.H.A. Series and it can be read as a standalone, but so much better read as a series. All the characters in this book were great but Pax is by far my favorite!! He is so sassy, spunky and snarky. I loved his prickliness and dislike of gender norms and labels. I love how he always manages to get a hold of Zeke's knife.
It was great to see a different side of Zeke and very different from the previous book and his dislike of Boomer's mating his younger brother. I did like that Boomer got a little payback when Zeke knots with Pax but felt for Pax and how uncomfortable it was for him. It was an interesting take and approach to the fated-mates and I liked that it wasn't instant love like the other stories and Zeke had to work for the trust and affection of Pax which was true to Pax's character. I would have liked more background on Pax and to have delved into his past and how he became the way he was, but the story was still great.
The ending was great with the perfect lead into Ezra's story and a solved mystery for Jonah. I look forward to the next one!!!
Again Colin's narration is great. His voices are continued on from the previous audiobooks too which is unique! I loved this narration and will differently be looking for more audiobooks narrated by Colin!!!
I started off really hating Pax & felt that there was no reason for it. Yes he had some hard times in his past but really, come on! Okay, with that over, the story. Another really good addition to the series. Pax is a master hacker to the 9th power. I'm not sure if there isn't anything he can't hack into. But it appears that there is another hacker out there, working for the Cartel, who has hacked into Pax's system & tracked him. I'm curious on who that is, maybe it's Cain? We will find out in the next book. Zeke is one of the twins that gave Boomer such a hard time in the last book who didn't believe in the whole fated mate thing. So when it smacks him in the face, I wanted to laugh in his face. My how the mighty falls. But needless to say that Pax meeting his mate didn't take it very well is an understatement. Once Pax gets past his really nasty behavior, I loved him & these two together. They do find & rescue a shipment of omegas & that just broke my heart. While going back to the building to capture a hostage and blow up their operation, they do capture a hostage but it turns out to be a surprise on who it is. Also, during this Pax is pregnant with twins and where he ends up having them was awesome. I didn't care for Colin Darcy's voice for Pax but other than that he did a great job narrating this one.

It took a little bit for Pax to grow on me, but as I learned more about him, I grew to love his character. I loved how he continued to stay true to himself throughout and didn’t change just because he found his mate. Even when he started to open up and accept his mate, he still kept his edginess and I found it refreshing.
Zeke was so sweet and patient with Pax. You could tell he really wanted what was best for his mate and that he just wanted to be accepted.
The story was really good and had me laughing at the knife scenes.
This isn’t the first story I’ve listened to by Colin Darcy, but I was a little disappointed with this narration. Colin Darcy spoke clearly and was easy to understand, but it was a little robotic and I had to speed up the play speed to 1.25 just to get the voices to flow more. I enjoyed the story more once I adjusted the speed.
I’m absolutely LIVING for Pax! I love how sassy he is and how completely unapologetically he lives his life. I also loved that he was not at all interested in Zeke, his fated alpha mate, when they first met. And I love that Zeke finds Pax’s independence so sexy! Pax is just such a cool character. He’s scrappy and fierce, but also has anxiety and fears; he’s lived a tough life and won’t hesitate to put people (I.E. Zeke and Ezra) in their place. I really loved that Pax felt safe enough with Zeke to find the comfort and love and acceptance that he needed. They are just so stinking cute together!
Another thing that I loved about this book is how absolutely ridiculous and hilarious it is. The last few chapters were pure comedic gold! I think I laughed until I cried at what happened to poor unsuspecting Jonah 😂. I love how these books are getting better and better as I make my way through the series. I’m addicted to them and I need more! This one is getting a solid four out of five stars.
4.5 ⭐s Little Bird Initially I didn't care for this story. Maybe the continuous references to the technical aspects of what the Squad did was just not appealing. But once Zeke scented his mate the story took off and the laugh out loud moments kept coming.
Pax was an enigma. He certainly was gender fluid and didn't hesitate to tell you about it in a very sassy manner. But as his entire story was pieced together a different picture was painted. The tough little bird was a savage and screechy (growly) as any hawk who happened to be housed in a small Wolf's body.
Pax was full of surprises as Zeke soon found out. The revenge of the brother-in-law was in full effect. Boomer finally got even for a lot of what Zeke and Ezra put he & David through when the two of them first met & mated.
It was nice to learn more about Jonah. Actually there were some huge revelations. Overall this was a great addition to the series.
Zeke is the twin who can get answers from prisoners with his handy knife and a little game we like to call tic tac toe. He lives and plays hard. He cant even count how many omegas he used . When a eye liner skirt wearing omega came busting into his meeting was a game changer for him. Before he could put two words together he had this little omega up against the wall and having a good sniff.
Pax has been alone with just his computers for so long his walls have walls. Life has taught him to always protect himself. The only person he kept in touch with was Whale. A guy he help a long time ago and still helps out now and again.
One day Pax home is attached and he runs to the only person he knows that help, but what he didn't expect was to be held up against a wall by a big brut of an alpha .
The laughs were in abundance in this book, it was hard not to laugh. But the emotional wasn't far behind.
Character breakdown;
Zeke: I didn't know I would grow to like the alpha since he was an alphahole in the previous book. But he redeemed himself and I loved how he took to Pax so easily.
Pax: this poor broken lost omega, all I ever kept saying as I read his point of view was "who hurt you?" He stole my heart for sure but I did enjoy his side as well.
Favorite quote: "Whale? Why do you need a whale? We're wolf shifters here. Wait, do f*****g fish shifters actually exist? If so, I'm gonna feel real bad the next time I order a McFish sandwich." -Zeke to Pax
This one had to be my favorite so far, I laughed so much and thorough enjoyed the book. Anyone who reads it would enjoy it too.
These ladies had me snorting and laughing while reading this book legit. Honestly, I loved Pax he was perfect for Zeke, kept him on his toes especially after the shit he gave his brother and Boomer during their mating.
I love that he was a strong omega who could fend for himself and I love seeing Zeke become omega whipped lol! Honestly, there are so many laugh out loud scenes and awwww scenes in this book. You get the humor with feels and a shit ton of snark for good measure.
Also can we say ending OMG! SO I knew something was coming from meeting Cain the first scene. I guessed he was Jonah's brother but Ezra's mate too cooool! I gotta see how that plays out.
The puke scene OMG! The baby on the helicopter scene OMG! ALL THE KNIFE SCENES OMFG!
Pax is in my opinion the most amazing omega of the series!
I have loved this series from book 1, but I have to say this one is my favorite! We finally meet the mysterious Pax, who turns out to be the most interesting man I have read about in a long time.
He has an immeasurable amout of strength and self confidence to live in such a way that he can keep himself free and still help his friends out from time to time. Zeke on the other hand has turned out to have the patience of a saint and will power of JOB. While he waits for Pax to come to him in his own time, giving Pax the confidence to control the major changes in his life.
I really loved this story and can't wait for the next installment in the series!
This is the 4th book in the Team ALPHA series. I think it would make more sense if you read the previous books as the case they are working on is a continuation throughout the books but it is a new couple so it could theoretically be read as a stand-alone. This one was probably a 3.5 stars for me. I had trouble connecting with the MCs. Pax was very nasty and I found if hard to be on his side for most of the book. We know Zeke from the previous books and know he can be a jerk but I just felt like Pax was over the top mean, it was almost annoying to read. This one actually leaves off with a bit of a cliffhanger and I’m really looking forward to continuing to the next book.
Another book with enough action to satisfy anybody and a lot of love and angst as Pax and Zeke meet and realize they are mates. Pax is the hidden hacker that helps out with problems that the A.L.P.H.A. team's own hacker, Jonah needs help with. Pax is found by the Cartel and he runs to Jonah for help. Zeke knows immediately that Pax is his mate, but Pax is stubborn and having none of it...until he does. On the search for the Cartel the ALPHA team gets help from Pax and Zeke is overprotective. Can these two make it together while the search goes on? Excellent story. Would recommend this series to anyone to read.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE the way Pax kept getting the upper hand with Zeke! This story had a bit more action and I thoroughly enjoyed that even though Pax knew Zeke was his mate, he didn’t just automatically get all lovey dovey. The things Pax did to Zeke were hilarious and I was very happy that Zeke just took it because he wanted Pax so much. The end was awesome! I can’t wait to dive into Ezra’s story
**** POV... multi first person
Standalone or series ... book 4 of series but CAN be read as a standalone
Learning to trust and love can be the biggest challenge of your life. Alpha/Omega and fated mates create an intriguing dynamic for these guys. Pax has no reason to trust or believe in love. When he finds that his mate is a big rough Alpha that often says the wrong thing, life gets more challenging. I love how the team and family helps support these guys as the work their way to love.
Zeke really redeems himself in this book and really is the best possible person he can be. I love how Pax learns slowly to trust and love and how amazing they are as they create the very own relationship.
I was really annoyed with Pax and basically everyone else besides Zeke, regarding their relationship while it was developing. He (and everyone else) got mad at Zeke for offering him something to eat and drink and then two chapters later he demanded that Zeke buy him clothes since he was his mate and needed to take care of him. Like, way to be a hypocrite Mr. Independent. He was redeemed by the time of the end of the book but it really made me mad. Again the physical descriptions are lacking so I'm always hoping that improves. Pax was described fairly well though.
Another great add to the series. Zeke and Pax are my favorite hands down. Pax is so unique and hilarious right from the start, poor Zeke doesn't know what hit him. With a hacker nerd joining their team they work together to save Omegas and take down all the bad guys. I love how Pax is protecting himself for more let downs but as he grows closer to his mate opens up and realize that it's ok to love and be loved. Zeke learns that his mate is one of a kind and he'll be there to help him understand what a family is. Can't wait for the next.
