A Japanese kitsune shifter discovers family secrets and hidden truths halfway around the world. She only wanted to find love.
For her more than five hundred years, kitsune Kaori Ishida has never strayed from her beloved homeland of Japan or her family. But when she falls for an American and sees hope of a normal life, she embarks on a journey to the United States. She leaves everything she knows behind, including her familiar appearance, to follow love.

Only, what she finds isn’t what she expects.

With the Immigration Act of 1924 only two years old, she discovers a scary new world that doesn’t accept either of her true forms. Seeking refuge and following a trail of lies, she ends up in a strange little town in the Colorado mountains, where family secrets and deceptions have her struggling to find the truth—and find herself.

Every town has stories of its past, and Havenwood Falls is no different. And when the town’s residents include a variety of supernatural creatures, those historical tales often become Legends. This is but one.
This is a stand-alone historical fantasy tale in the Havenwood Falls shared world, a collaborative effort by multiple authors across multiple series all in the paranormal fantasy genre, allowing readers to discover new authors and stories to fall in love with. Each author brings a stand-alone plotline, so they can be read in any order./

Love, love, love! I don't even know where to start.
This is the first novella in the Legends series that I have read, that being said it didn't really feel like it was based in the 1920's or whatever it was, it could have worked for any time frame. That did not take away from the story though. I also really enjoyed that this was truly a stand alone, as far as I know there wasn't characters from other Legends stories in it that made us feel like we were missing something. If they were mentioned it was briefly and lets us want for their own story.

Kaori is special, sometimes we don't know what we are capable of, especially when we don't push ourselves. Theo and Heather were an added bonus! I hope we get Heather's story! Oh and maybe Emiko's :D

Another Excellent Legend

I am always interested in learning about the town I would love to live in. The legends always give us great insight in what shaped thw town. This is a story that has love and excitement and it of course couldn't be a Havenwood Falls story without a bad guy somewhere.

This book is a quick read and it will keep you interested from start to finish. You will love the new characters and I hope to learn more about them in more books.

Until Next Time.... Tabi

A Hidden Truths (Legends of Havenwood Falls Book 11) I absolutely loved 😍💗💖💞💕 each book. The characters and town are exceptionally written!!! I felt as if I was  part of the story. I wish there was a town like this for real, would so love life!!! As a high school teacher, my students told me to read this series over summer so we can discuss this when they get back!!!   I highly recommend these books for teens and adults. ❤️‍🔥🥰

Read this book

This was a fairly quick little read. I enjoyed the characters story and the chemistry between the two main characters. I had a little bit of a hard time connecting with and getting into the story all the way, but in the end I still enjoyed it and will continue to check out more books by Colleen Nye and the rest of the Havenwood Falls books.
