They’ve done the crazy, the stupid, and the impossible. Established a secret base behind enemy lines. Stolen a sector supply vessel, a scout, and a pocket warship. Now Phil Kosnett and his crew set their sights on something really ambitious.
Liberating an entire prison planet, all by themselves.
Part of the Alexandria Station universe and the culmination of the CS-405 trilogy, our heroes face their greatest challenge yet. But Phil Kosnett’s crew aren’t about to stop now.
Also be sure to pick up the other novels in the Queen Anne’s Revenge and Packmule.

I totally enjoyed the entire CS-405 series, particularly Packmule and Persephone. (I’ve never read Ward’s books and was pleasantly surprised). Unlike Weber’s Honor Harrington series (probably one of my faves) this trilogy is short on bang-bang shoot-em-up, blood and guts space wars and people dying by the thousands. Which was a nice change. But, the personalities are diverse, humor is there, as well as tongue-in-cheek musings of an former stuntman turned marine who visualizes battles through the mental lens of a movie camera. I wish there was a 4th book, but have moved on to the Jessica Keller series. (I read the kindle version and was delighted with how well edited it was; minimal typos, misspellings, etc.)
I've read the Jessica Keller series. I found the last books tiresome, with too much work going in to tying up loose ends and too little into action and character development. Of way too many characters. This has been an interesting and involving short series, with a limited but fascinating cast.
