Another winner by Fiona Quinn! Oh my goodness, this was such an exhilarating read. Kate Hamilton fighting for her marriage and her family has stumbled onto a crime scene. What will happen? Will she find the answers? Will she save her marriage? Read this scintillating short mystery to find the answers. I was gifted this book by the author. I chose to voluntarily leave this review.

As I sit here, I’m gaping like a guppy trying to come to terms with exactly how I feel about how this story ends. It was easy for me to get sucked in to Kate’s world. Easy to get lost in the twisting plot that kept me guessing and second-guessing myself. Even easier to get caught up in the emotional drama of Kate’s personal life. And now I’ve reached the end of the book, but at least one of those things is still not quite finished. I love to read books that belong in a series. But I’ve also learned to come to terms with the fact that I’m impatient and I want all the answers NOW!!! So, it’s my own personal frustration that I have to sit back and wait for the author to write another book so that I can have those answers I crave so badly. One way or another, Kate has a new fan for life.

Another Fantastic book I recommend from Fiona Quinn! Loved It and couldn't put it down!
As with all of Fiona Quinn books this series is fantastic. It was easy to get into and as with all of her books you don't want to stop until it's finished! Her books pull you into them and don't let you go! Kate is teaching a class about CSI and goes out and plants "evidence" for her class to find but when a student finds a watch that wasn't part of the class it sets Kate on a path to find the owner. Can Kate find the owner and if she does will she solve the mystery of the missing teacher? To find out pick up this fantastic book! If you haven't read the Lynx series, Uncommon Enemies series, Badge Bunny Booze Mystery series, FBI Joint Task Force series or The Strike Force series then pick them up to read you won't be sorry you did!

'To those who fall in love, and the bumpy journey that follows'

Kate doesn't seem to be able to stop herself, she just has to dig in and investigate...and rattle the wrong cages! Danger, deception and despair follow her like shadows but Lynx adds her usual safety, sunshine and light, even when edged with her own sadness.
A great read on Kindle Unlimited

What a FANTASTIC tale!

The reader is immediately drawn into Kate's life and turmoil. Her husband has recently returned from war and orders her to leave their home so that he doesn't hurt her during a PSTD episode. Kate goes to live with her elderly aunt and takes a short term position teaching CSI to a group of high school students. While out in the woods teaching her students she finds items that appear to be REAL evidence of a former teacher who disappeared just two years prior. Fast reading!! Yours will keep the reader's attention from beginning to end! Absolutely LOVED the science woven into the story!!

This was a great book continuing the series which began in the book "Mine", but this one can easily be read as a standalone. It is about a science teacher (Kate) who teaches about CSI crime scenes and I was thoroughly impressed with the author's knowledge of CSI procedures. It seems a teacher disappeared two years before and Kate becomes involved with solving the mystery. She is also struggling with her marriage situation. Her former-soldier husband has PTSD symptoms and is too afraid that he will become violent and hurt her, so he wants a divorce. Can Kate solve what may be a murder mystery and can she save her marriage? Most everything is resolved by the end, but there is more about Kate to come in a third book.

Yours is the second book in this mystery series. Kate is once again in her hometown in Virginia, teaching a temporary CSI class, and giving her husband the space he needs to deal with the effects of a brain injury that occurred when he was in Afghanistan. While on a clue hunt in the woods with her class, they find a unique hunting watch, and Kate is determined to find the owner. Complications arise, leading to a dangerous situation. I loved this book and am looking forward to the next one in the series

A really amazing Kate Hamilton mystery, I love the biology teacher teaching a CSI course at high school that is a fascinating concept I loved, even more, when Kate met Lexie omg they are even better together and I am really hoping Kate lands in Washington D.C with a fresh start, whether Ryan is part of that is still to been seen and I'm ok with that.

For now, it's Kate and Little Man against the world

Wow!

This book is part of the Iniquus world. I always get swept up in the story of good vs evil, puzzling out the the clues, trying to find the answers. Kate is teaching CSI to students in her home town. Her husband Ryan is home in Boston recovering from PTSD. One of Kate's students stumbles on to a watch while she is doing a to crime scene with them. Kate researches the watch and wants to return it to it's owner. I don't want to give anything away.....but does the watch fit into a cold case? You will be drawn into Kate's world and try to help her fit the clues together. She has alot going on in her life with her husband's PTSD among other things. After reading this, you will want to get to know the other team members that are part of Iniquus. Start with Weakest Lynx!

This is an amazing book! Multiple wonderfully told stories, all centered on the heroine Kate! There is so much to her life to admire and understand sympathetically. She has become separated from her husband by forces outside of her control. She is making a good life as a teacher in a small community where she grew up. Some memories are there. But the main thing is that she is inspiring young lives by her classes.

In the meantime her husband is fighting demons from being severely wounded in wartime, where he suffered terrible head injuries. He knows he is bad news and wants to keep Kate away from him for her own protection. She doesn't agree, however. Thus the friction begins. There story grows during the pages of this book. And then tragedy strikes one of Ryan's comrades and Kate carries a heavy burden as she tries to help. She also has important news for Ryan which makes him more determined to keep Kate away from him.

Also while all of this is happening, Kate's class on the subject of CSI has an experience that throws Kate into the role of investigator. She has some skills in this area, being a CSI expert, but this endeavor puts her life in danger. A missing person from the school where she teaches may turn out to be a murder victim. Who is the killer? Is Kate safe? Read this engaging story to find out!

Yours: The Kate Hamilton Mysteries : Iniquus Security Action Adventure Book 2 is by Fionna Quinn. This is the first book in the set of three novellas is part of the books based on Iniquus that I am reading. These novellas deal with Randy and Kate Hamilton.
In the second book, she takes a semester job teaching CSI as part of a STEM grant in a town near her aunt. She is hoping to make a difference in how girls view science. Still estranged from her husband, she has to tell him long distance that she is carrying their baby. He visits her at a hotel when she goes to Washington DC to attend a former SEAL’s funeral and he presents her with divorce papers. She tears them up and returns to her aunt’s only to find the police there to notify her that Randy has been in a motorcycle accident and is in the hospital with another head injury.

Good side bar series connected to Iniquiss and Strike Force. Kate is constantly finding herself in sticky situations. Two year missing case is solved by Kate's desire to teach HS students CSI technology through new school program and one of the kids finds a special hunter's watch which leads down the rabbit hole. Kate is dealing with a husband with PTSD who wants to save her from himself and Kate's not having any of it. I like her feistyness and gumption. She loves her husband but her connection to her HS love seems like a stronger bond even though the two have married other folks and have a family. This wrapped up but not exactly a cliffhanger, but definitely another book follows "Ours" to find out more about Kate and hubby, Ryan.

In this short Kate’s emotions are raw. She’s no closer to being able to go home to Ryan, one of his close friends committed suicide and no one saw it coming, she can no longer hide her pregnancy and has become a topic of gossip. but it’s not all depressing. On the upside, her students are doing well in her CSI class and she’s met a new friend in Lexi Sabado.

At a mock crime scene for her class in the nearby woods, Kate’s students discover a very nice watch, too nice for the area. Attempting to do a good deed, Kate tries to locate the owner of the watch and inadvertently picks at a still open local murder case, not to mention Kate also makes herself a murderer’s target.

All the Best Intentions

Kate Hamilton is back teaching high schoolers about crime scene investigations. She has a bit of a problem keeping herself out of harms way. She jumps right into situations, sometimes without thinking things through. However, she doesn't need to think about fighting for her marriage. She just does. She also goes on a search that results in a lot more than she expects. She even meets Lexi Sobado (from the Lynx series) and her Doberman's, Bella and Beetle. The mystery she pursues in this story is heartbreaking. Her pursuit of her husband is heartrending. Her effort in both these instances is remarkable and exemplary. I can't wait to read the next book in Kate's journey.

4-Star Review: Yours by Fiona Quinn

Yours is an engaging romantic suspense novel that blends mystery, danger, and heartfelt emotion. The story draws you in right away with its intriguing setup and a strong balance between action and character development. The chemistry between the main characters feels genuine, and their connection deepens naturally as the tension builds.

Fiona Quinn does a great job creating an atmosphere of suspense without losing the emotional core of the story. The pacing moves well, with just enough twists to keep things interesting without overwhelming the romance.

Overall, Yours is a well-written, fast-paced read that offers both excitement and heart. It’s a satisfying mix of suspense and romance that keeps you turning the pages until the end.

This was in an anthology so I haven’t read anything else from this series. The book was too confusing and choppy, probably because I was missing the backstory from the first book. Also too many plot line that keep splitting your attention. The ending was rushed and kind of cobbled together. So many unanswered questions about the missing teacher mystery. Very convenient clues develop towards the end with little rot no lei or reasoning. However, since my husband has PTSD, (his meds keep him pretty stable most of the time) I am increasingly interested in how this is handled in the other books. Worth reading if you can hold several plots separate in your mind.

Just know this book ends in a cliffhanger. Once again, Kate accidentally finds herseld embroiled in a missing person/murder mystery. In teaching her CSI class, she gives them practical experience in collecting evidence by setting up a mock crime scene only to have them stumble across something she didn't plant. Meanwhile, her marriage continues to disintegrate despite her resolve to not give in to her husband's demands. Just about the time she finally gets some positive news she's hurled into a deadly situation.

This is not the end

Best five words every. Loved this series so far. Can not wait to read book three. Adding Lexi to the mix was my favorite. I love books with Lexi and Striker in them. This book made me laugh and cry. Love that you wrote a book about suicide. It’s not something that a lot of books I read talk about. They all have happy endings. Keep writing and I will definitely keep reading.

Hope and setbacks

Kate is an interesting character. She is back in her hometown and facing rumors while trying to salvage her marriage to an injured SEAL and finding out she is pregnant. Add in another brain injury, a CSI class that finds a significant clue to a murder and meeting new friends from Iniquus this makes for. Fast paced and thrilling story. The ending of nail biting for several reasons and Kate is a beast...enjoyed the story and wish it was longer.

Kate is a wonderful character and this second book was even better than the first. All the feels in this story as she is once again involved in a mystery and personal problems. Loved how Lynx is involved in the story and how this brings home some of the problems service people face along with their families. I can't wait for Kates next book! Loved it!

Good story and educational, too. My only complaint is the abrupt ending. I don't want to be a spoiler, so I won't go into details, but several things happened in the last few pages without much detail.
This and that were accomplished---done. Also leaves one needing to get the next book to find out what happens. A big cliffhanger.

Another Exciting Adventure for Kate!

I’m loving this series. Kate is going to find a mystery wherever she goes. Her CSI class finds a piece of evidence that she didn’t plant in the woods and the mystery begins. There is more drama from her PTSD suffering husband in Boston and we get a lot of Lexi, Bella and Beetle.

Excellent

Part mystery, part suspense. A story in itself, but also part of the whole story. Will Ryan change his mind when he recovers or will he still want a divorce to protect his wife and his baby from his violent outbursts? The second book in this series is good and worth a read.

Definitely a must-read series in my opinion.

Excellent novel

I thoroughly enjoyed getting involved in this novel. However, I was disappointed when I reached the end to find out that Kate's story traveled into yet another book! I am the type who likes the end To be "the end"
